This is amazing it went straight to the Windows install right after this. Fans were Spinning and the pump is plugged into the AIO fan. It worked. Thanks man!!
I had this I just turned my speed to manual then save then restart and put speed back to normal, but still happens now and again, would buying a new fan work?
After changing bios settings the error vanishes, but If I power off the system and power on again the error message pops up again. The cpu fan is installed properly as it was working earlier since 3 years but now it shows error.
This is the man right here ty!!!! It fixed. It happened to me with my z390 e gaming mobo, corsair h150i. I had this error happen to me after updating to a bios update 2/21/2020.
Thanks for the help. Everything was working fine until i installed the corsair commander pro. I didn't even move anything from the corsair aio h100i and i still got the fan error. I don't understand what happened
MrBoriqua2000 Everything was fine for me, I had the same liquid cooler on my old motherboard with no issues. Got my new motherboard and I had this issue. Glad this video helped!
Thanks for this video. I did this and it worked. However my pc is stock should this even be happening ? Perhaps it needs some new thermal paste? What are your thoughts thanks
No, you shouldn't need new thermal paste unless temps are bad. I don't exactly know why this can be happening myself, but it could just be some glitch with the BIOS.
When I press ignore on cpu fan speed on my bios and save and exit it shows a blue screen saying a part is broken it looked almost exactly like the blue screen yours showed is that just because of a slightly different bios style and any suggestions for someone new to gaming PCs especially with closed loop water cooler.
My old fans didn’t have a problem but as soon I upgraded to RBG fans so I did what I needed to do so I wouldn’t see the CPU error. Is this ok or normal?
Thx. This works for me. I installed a Kraken x72. Pump to AIO Header and the Fans to the Case Splitter which is connected to the case fan header of the mainboard.
Holy shit, you're an actual god. This fixed 2 of my problems. The error message, and me having to go through bios to boot windows every time. Liked and subbed. 😁😁
Hi Xonical, although this thread is several years old, Seveal hour after scratching my head, failing to update bios/cmos reset, i came across your vid. I did what you said and it didn't work (I have a liquid cooler as well). BUT as a result of the in fo you provided, I scrolled down the 4 other speed N/A default settings I have on my crosshair VI and set them all to ignore and VOILA! it worked. Cheers 1 new sub and a thumbs up to you bro'
So what do you do if it turns on like that but turns off even if you hit buttons not sure if anything else is wrong since it does that and I just have up and put it in a corner for like 2-3 months and this point I don’t know anything about PCs
That is normal, that means your cpu fan probably isn't working. Make sure it's plugged in because your temps should range from 30C (86F) to 40C (104F) when idle.
I’ve done exactly what you said and its still not working I bought a deep cool with a single 120mm fan aio and its still giving me the error message. I’m almost positive I installed everything correctly and the cpu is not even getting hot while the cpu monitor on bios is saying its getting to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Please help me bro
Actually stupid here. Ofc. Since its a liquid cooler there isn't any Fan. I've been trying for days now. Thx to you there isn't a Problem anymore. Lifesaver thx
Yes, if your CPU fan isn't working then your CPU will reach very high temperatures and throttle, or your PC will bluescreen and then give you a CPU temperature error instead. Fix your CPU fan so you don't kill your CPU with very high temps.
does it has anything to do with not setting up the liquid cooler i meanits set just fine but i dont know if i have to mentain liquid cooler with water or something
The liquid cooler does not have just regular water in it. The liquid is already pre placed into the coolers tube's. You shouldn't have to replace it at all.
Xonical Oh tq i thought that i have to do stuff like pouring water and shit but i wonna know if i can overclock my processor with the error! my cpu fan which comes with the liquid cooler is working fine....i installed windows 10 with the error andi havent played any games or did any editing stuff ....my processor is i7 8700k and wonna overclock it to 5 ghz wonna know if it will overheat or something have performance issues with and without overclocking
It depends on the cooler. I don't recommend super heavy overclocks with a 120MM Radiator. It has to be at least a 240MM. But it's always best to check your case to see what the max radiator mounting size is. For me, my case on top supports a 360MM and I currently am using a 120MM radiator. I have the i7 4790K and at 4.8 GHz my CPU temps when rendering are above 200F. So that shows I need a new cooler. Same in games, in CSGO with a 4.6 GHz overclock my temps are at around 180-196. Just mess with the voltages and try to get the lowest voltage as possible, but still making it stable of course..
Xonical just wonna know my cooler is working fine with the processor, my cooler is capable of overclocking it but wonna know if its working if you know what i mean...im afraid of the error
I have a administration lock on and want be able to access bios. Any suggestions? I also dont get the ”press f2 to get to bios” and i know the password. Need some help ty.
Reset the CMOS. Now some higher end motherboards have a specific button on the back that'll do that. I know mine does. But if not, there is a small chrome battery on the motherboard. Ensure the computer is off, remove the battery. Wait 30 seconds, then put the battery back in. Then it should fix your problem. I had that issue many years ago.
What are your temps at? Streaming could cause high CPU usage. But that doesn't mean it's overheating. Open up your computer and check if the fan is working, and check your cpu temps to make sure it's not overheating. Doing what I should you in the video will not stop your CPU fan from working properly.
Got a question so when ignoring it what exactly does it do. and will it effect anything cause I need to do this and watched so many vids on my aio install and I did it right so I'm lost I'm probs just gonna do this.

Thank you man, worked like a charm, not even repair needed.
@SPItZ FRAdGiTY (nobody responded so i will 5 months later) it will not spin and may decrease performance

Omg. Thank you. I was convinced it was a boot issue. Was ignoring the CPU fan error message. Cheers, mate!
I was thinking the exact same thing.
I had this I just turned my speed to manual then save then restart and put speed back to normal, but still happens now and again, would buying a new fan work?
I have ignored this for years, thank you so much
WOW, thank you, I was getting ready to have a stroke.
I did this and no message popped up for the automatic repair. Is this a problem? or can i just leave it as it is?
So if I dont have a liquid cooled system itll still be cool to do that as long as I know for a fact my hardware side of things is fine right?
Dude, you are a life saver, thank you so much! Now I can enjoy my build
Many thanks dude. I recently switched to a noctua fan and this message started popping out even though the fan was working correctly.
Thanks a lot man ...i was so freaked out when i saw the error. Solved the problem 👍

Xonical is it normal when you get this error the bios is showing the temperature on the cpu going up? about 65 °C and higher

It was plug in fan 02. Thanks
My bios doesn’t have a fan speed monitor. Also it doesn’t show up as an error?
Will the CPU fan still automatically ramp up it's speed if the cpu is under load?
no, you have to manually do that with software or some bioses allow you to do that in the settings.
Thanks for this bro keep up the good work
hey bruv I have an AIO cooler and didn't get this error? When I go to the CPU monitoring in the BIOS it actually reads the RPM, but of what? weird.

Yes, if your CPU fan isn't working then your CPU will reach very high temperatures and throttle, or your PC will bluescreen and then give you a CPU temperature error instead. Fix your CPU fan so you don't kill your CPU with very high temps.
i was having this problem on my Sabertooth P67 and this rlly helps ty man!

are there any drawbacks to doing this?
thank you man been having this error for like 2 years

Ty mate! Good video! Worked for me
Thanks very easy to follow
Thanks for the tip man! Worked for me
Thanks man! But question, ignoring the CPU fan error won’t cause my PC to overheat, will it?
no it won't
Ok w hat if it won't let me adjust my fan settings? The res no option for me
I did what u told us to do but my cpu is at 100% usage or whatever like when i stream, so is it overheating? is my cpu fan really not working?

Hey man, i still have this problem but i don’t have a cpu fan. I only have a water cooler... is that also like sort of a cpu fan?
Yes and no, you have fans for your radiator but that's about it. I have a AIO too and I get this problem.
So there is actually nothing wrong with your CPU cooler despite the error warning and you just ignore it in the BIOS....?
Nothing is wrong. It's best to ignore it or try plugging it into a different cpu header on your motherboard.
Got a question so when ignoring it what exactly does it do. and will it effect anything cause I need to do this and watched so many vids on my aio install and I did it right so I'm lost I'm probs just gonna do this.
It doesn't do anything nor does it affect anything. I currently still have to do this. I've been doing this for over a year and no issues arrived.
