Thanks for the vid just bought a 04 RMZ 250 first year of it had to buy a boyesen supercooler water pump because the original o4s you had to take the water pump off to change the oil filter how crazy is that what's the new water pump that has a separate cap for the filter so much easier
I only clean that once or twice after replacing the piston. If you have a couple hours on the bike you shouldn't have to worry too much about metal shavings in the magnetic filter.
How much Extra Oil did you put in for the Hinson Clutch Cover? I bought a bike with the same clutch cover and wondering how much above 1000ml i need to put.
Honestly I don’t think I had to add anymore oil because of it. I think 1000ml on the oem clutch cover is a little too much so if u stick with 1000ml and just check the sight glass you’ll be good.
Yeah all the brands manuals make you put too much in anyways by like 100 ml for some reason. Maybe that's what they do from completely dry in factory specs since there's no residual in the motor
Thanks for watching the video and reaching out! I change the oil every 3 to 5 hours and change the oil filter every other oil change. I used to change the oil filter every oil change but I have heard from multiple pro mechanics that its not necessary to change the filter that often.
Just recently bought a bike like this, it's already dripping oil from the drain and that is certainly not the kind of bolt that he has stuck in there, he's got some kind of wing-nut looking thing with a rubber top plugged in and I noticed oil is seeping out. God knows what he's done to the fitting.
Nice thorough video dude
Great video, i lost the owners manual for my 2016 rmz 250 during a move and this was a nice way to freshen up on the how to
You need to be checking cleaning the strainer filters at every oil change.

Your oil looks so clean
Is it going to be the same as a 2014 ?
It should be.
what about cleaning the 2 metal screen filters?
