  • We found an abandoned pond in Virginia that had tons of fish suffering in what can only be described as a black mud puddle.

Probably some of the rude comments are of those who can’t appreciate the size or beauty well through a video. It looks gorgeous! And I’m sure even more in person. Great on you guys to have taken those fishies off to a better life.

I think the white and grey koi is called a kujaku. Im not 100% sure on that, that's just what I found by looking it up. Love your channel and I have learned a lot from your videos. You and Lisa are awesome

Thanks for blasting those idiots in the comments. Sometimes the trolls need to be put in their place. Also hats off to the girl who reached out about the fish. She could just killed them all and not tell anyone. But she cared enough to help out the fish in need. Great video!

Moved to Springfield, Mo in 2003, put in what I thought was a small pond, appx 8,000 gals. Pond was 5 feet at deepest. Just move and sold the house. Arranged for the Koi to have new home before we left. Worked with AquaScape. The better half said no more fish. I will continue to try to set up aquarium in the future. Great job on rescue.

Beautiful!! Just a side note: I doubt you would do this, but a friend had a prized koi pond and their groundskeeper applied something to their lawn without protecting the pond - all died quickly. 😢. As for 'evil' people - let's not say that the previous folks were the bad guys either. They may have been elderly and couldn't take care of them as well as they used to. Someone's grandkids might watch this someday, and it will break their hearts. Somebody clearly cared for them at one time - it was a beautiful setup. No bad guys, just lucky folks able to help others at just the right time!

I only recently found your channel. Your online personas are refreshingly genuine and you give great practical advice. Yes, you run a business, but I don’t feel like I’m watching an infomercial. I wish there was something remotely like you in these parts. We are heading into winter soon, & I’ll be working from home in an office in a semi-finished basement for the foreseeable future. So I’m cleaning up my old tanks, replacing equipment as needed, and will be slowly and deliberately setting them up again following your advice. Your channel is perfect.

    Lovely pond, lucky fish.
While not 100% my taste, I'd put in water weeds and not be able to have Koi, those fish are going to be so happy they out grow that water. You might want to put some underwater plants up by the rock sphere to help the pond filter by removing some of the Nitrates (where the koi won't destroy them).

I remember a Nc pastor named Je' Michael Howard Kennedy have moved into his home 🏡. With his family included his wife for 28 years with 4 daughters, 2 sons, but one of his daughter was like daddy their fish in the backyard. It was 25 koifish and 6 dojo loaches. They decided to keep the fish after the former tenants lift behind the animals for whatever reason . But also have 3 dalmatians and Barred parakeet who thinks it's a dog. Just like macaw in the Disney's movie 102 dalmatians. But melneted godly family. Gossipy chick, Peppa Lucybaby, Nori and Polka cookie.❤😂😊.

just a word of warning. If that is Mexican Petunia be careful. It will spread like a weed. If is going around the pond in cracks and crevices it will be fine. It's kind of like bamboo. It grows everywhere and you will not get rid of it no matter what you do. But if it's not then I don't know what it is. But I LOVE THE POND. It brings such a peaceful environment for you to go around and just relax.
