Excellent job! I thought you did a great job telling the story of your build. It was very informative and detail on how the project went. Thanks for allowing us the privilege.
Thank you so much for posting this video. You answered a long standing question for me. I too am 6'2" & big, I want this truck so bad, but it's a tight squeeze for me. I see that along with your new seats they cut away the original metal behind the seat allowing more leg room.
Everything is perfect.. my only gripe is the rims. I am not a fan.. but that is a taste preference on my end. I LOVE the sinister look of the Humvee! Awesome video and thank you for showing us all. 👍
I'm glad you love it. Not the choices I would make on one, but the right choices for YOU. :) I would be a bit concerned that Matt removed the cross brace behind the driver's seat. That is a structural component.
Who told you that it had a pull starter in it ? they’re referring to the cable underneath the dash that is your steering lock you pull it out and place it through your steering wheel and then use a padlock to lock it around the steering wheel . The cable is a theft deterrent . Not pull starter
Dang you paid $14000 for it that's actually quite a bit. You should have been able to pay about half that for the truck itself. As far as getting the work done on it that price sounds pretty normal to get it all upgraded like you did. Definitely a nice-looking Humvee looks like they did some good work! I actually used to customize these as well. We would totally disassembled them, do all the bodywork and we would do a new paint job or rubberized coating along with many other things but I'm no longer doing much of that anymore. I got so good at disassembling them I could take one apart by myself in a day. Reassembly typically took atwo days depending upon what all was added to it just cuz you got to be a lot more careful when you're reassembling so you don't mess stuff up that you just did. the bodywork and paint job is what took the longest and any added custom work. It definitely takes quite a bit of time to get one fully converted like that. I have done a lot of them and each one has its own issues I don't think there was a single one that didn't have problems we had to work out. You sure do find some neat stuff though inside of them when you're taking them all apart. We even found full gun magazines for the M16 by the seat pans there's a little skinny area in there it's easy to lose stuff in and they don't always do a very thorough job at looking them over to take stuff out. Thanks for sharing!
YIKES! Yeah. Sure looks like it. That surprises me. I wonder what they did to replace the structural support provided by that cross beam. I didn't see anything to replace it in the video.
Thanks for the info on pricing. It is the largest hurdle for me as I am looking into acquire a military Humvee. I am also very interested in the process you took to acquire the vehicle.
Never saw one painted with bedliner. Excellent Choice my friend. Very nice rig. I hope to have one pretty soon, myself. Still doing my research online with the auction sites and PLAN B. Where did you find yours?
Hi. I know you work on a lot of M998 Was wondering if you ever ran across problem with no low beam on drivers side only? I see this to be a common problem but no answers on what the cause or repair is? Can you help please? Is there a headlight control module?
Does combattrucks supply any trucks I’m currently looking around at builds I don’t currently have a humvee I’m looking to get one build the way I want it.
Hi Ruben nice job. I am looking for one for 2years . I can find 1 in Canada with 4 doors. any 1 have where I can get 1. I cant afforded big boys prices.
Ken Vara GovPlanet.com there are some near me for as low as 4 thousand. I have no idea what the laws are in Canada ,most of these vehicles don’t come with titles which can be a pain. Most states her in the US won’t let you drive these on the road. So good luck! I’m looking at purchasing one from planb supply. They seem like they are competent. Plus they give you a title. Good luck with your search.
Join up on hummernetworkforum.com, come play with us and learn alot. For your engine knowledge, thetruckstop.us You’ll learn thatvelectric fan creates more problems than it helps. Most hmmwvs have really heavy springs so they could be loaded with gear. You can simply swap springs for lighter rating and get a great ride, especially wih better shocks. Mine rides nicer than my escalade. Enjoy, and watch out for Prius- they get stuck in the treads.
Uh it was radical change for better I wish I have one like that in colombia 🇨🇴 killing all the jeep’s there this hummer is the best design gm made there is no computer control anything is like the old 1940 willis jeep made for life how ever made this conversion is good bit at the time get there winch definitely need goodbye

BAD ASS TRUCK, bro!!! I loved the exterior bedliner coating & your custom interior look with the bucket seats. Enjoy! Thanks for sharing!

nice and clean. 9 months seem a little long what is your hj speed and any problems getting thru DMV
I'm glad you love it.
Not the choices I would make on one, but the right choices for YOU. :)

Those are real humvee X doors. Nice truck.
How do you get the heavy tire on/off the baja rack?
Good job man. What is the ryno line called for paint? I’m thinking of doing this on mine. I’m currently doing a Cummins 12 valve swap

Wow: good for you.
Mine had holes shot through the floor for water drainage and spent shells lol
@@m998hmmwv7 thats how they should be.
Congrats Ruben. She looks awesome. Currently working on my own 2 man. Thought about taking it to CCT but decided to do everything myself.
Ruben Rodriguez I found a great guy. Tyler Langston of Warhorse conversions. He is in Buford, GA. Not only a great mechanic but a truly stand up guy.
Did he remove the bracing behind the driver seat? Looks like he did but wouldn’t that hinder the structural integrity of the pillars?
YIKES! Yeah. Sure looks like it. That surprises me. I wonder what they did to replace the structural support provided by that cross beam. I didn't see anything to replace it in the video.
You gotta get that winch!! What a fun toy

Bedliner as a paintjob........ 🤦♂
Probably the main reason why it leaks at the doors.
I love how these ex military vehicles look, seen a few builds. I still can't believe after people pay 40k - 70k they still leak water inside...
Lol... Good...yup you turn your HMMWV in a true civilian version....

Wow, you completely ruined a cool truck!
Tell it to Trump he'll fix it.
Pull starter😂😂😂
Spent too much money, not worth it.
I'm leaving the pull start in mine. If ya know, ya know. 😏
