I grew up in Canada and moved to the USA to open my business since the past 7 years. It’s definitely cheaper here but it depends on where you are located. Canada is very expensive to live and the weather is terrible during the winter. I am living in a better place where the temps are milder in the winter but the summers are hot. I am not that concerned about crime when it comes to Jamaica but concerned about the lack of good hospitals in the country areas. You have to drive to Kingston to find a good hospital or specialist. Because of that I probably would prefer to live in Kingston closer to those amenities and Kingston Realestate isn’t cheap at all lol so there are always pros and cons.

Thanks for joining in the conversation. Where you choose to live will definitely depend on your family's needs. There are public and private care across the Island. Nevertheless, many of them are based in Kingston. With the high population density in Kingston, the demand of accommodation is greater than supply and hence the high costs. Are you considering moving to Jamaica? 💎

That’s my concern as well for Trauma care specifically. Preventative care is good though so that’s half the battle won.

@@LifewiddiJamFams Thanks for your response, at this point I think living in Jamaica part time could be a good option for me. I think maybe a condo in Kingston or in Ocho Rios could be a good option.

@kemi1486 really haven't spoken to a lot of people with Trauma experiences. However, people with planned procedures have found that those care are good. There are room for improvement as the country develop and additional accident and emergency facilities would always be beneficial. ✨🤩

How can we all improve the service we get to not waste our time in queues.

Many of the services can be paid for on apps, on line and you can pay for things at the Point of service (PoS) if you have your bank card. 💎💯✨

Well done, great research, but I must disagree with you on the health care in Canada, I’m Jamaican by birth and have been a resident over 52 years, been back to Jamaica on numerous visits, as a matter of fact we were there in April..the health care system in Canada is very good, i don’t want to say it’s free, but it seems like it is.😊 love your vlogs.

Greetings. Love your vids. As a person contemplating moving to Jamaica, the vids are very informative . However, why the fast food content? If Mothers and the other places mentioned are your sponsor, then my apologies.

This fast food thing is destroying the population. Healthy eating should be promoted to reduce waistline. In ten years it starts to take effect. The video series seems good.
