This game was really the polar opposite to Circle of the Moon. Very easy compared to how brutal Circle is. Too bright for a GBA SP while Circle is too dark for a GBA
If they'd made a better Juste sprite, and reduced the floatiness a little, this game would rival SotN in popularity IMHO. I still love it, but I understand the criticism.
To be fair it does exist for a reason. One of circle of the moons biggest issues was that the sprites were too small and that the colors were too dark and on a original gameboy advance which had no backlight..you can already see the issue. That's why Harmony has larger sprites and is far more colorful which of course is also why, Juste has this blue outline.
@@nightmarearcade2663 I've played Circle of the Moon and didn't have an issue with the gameplay or seeing the character sprites. Plus I've played Aria of Sorrow, and I'm saying to myself, they should have taken a cue from THAT game.
I can understand that but it was a complaint people had at the time so it makes sense for them to try and fix it albeit the game somewhat suffers because of it...especially the music...

@@shovatar1635 It's this glitch where you can deal tons of damage to an enemy every frame. Typically it's done by using a subweapon/spell, hopping and attacking in the air, then dash cancelling and attacking again. Something screws up in the game's logic, and your attack hits the enemy every frame. It shreds through most bosses in seconds
@@DoctorPoopenFarten Thanks for the info! Coincidentally I just watched a speedrun the other day where I saw a guy doing that. I wonder how hard it is to learn/execute.
This game can have its flaws but it's unsettling, really good atmosphere for the most part
It's one of my favorite CVs, music and initial progression are issues for sure but the central gameplay is rock-solid.
Dkm🎉

Circle of the Moon revive the difficulty of the first games, no everybody can complete the first Castlevania.

Being on a more powerful console definitely wouldn't have hurt, but I still think it's really good as it is.
The original Nintendo DS can also play GameBoy Advanced games.
As Maxim, I could really breeze in that boss rush in over 15 minutes. I might do another to get faster times.

Good video
Honestly, I just can't get past that blue outline around Juste Belmont. Extremely distracting.

I want though this boss rush twice
And no boss was that hard actually
No stacks ? First time seeing this on youtube
I'm not sure what you mean by this. What are "stacks" in the context of HoD?

Creo que es el juego de la saga con la peor musica, parece musica de cine de terror de los 30s o de mediados de siglo pasado
The music is definitely a problem, but for me the issue was more with the sound itself than the compositions. Thank you for watching!

Don't know what this means but I'm going to assume it's positive, so thanks!
