Not everyone get's married and has kids. It's been like that for centuries. Historically 60% of men don't even reproduce. I'm unmarried with no kids. Pushing 40. I'm focusing on my health, finances and extended family. You can still have a purpose in life without kids. It's not a perfect life, but it is what it is.

Just because we have feet doesn't mean we should all be dancers or track stars, just because we have hands doesn't mean we should all be painters or carpenters, just because we have vocal chords doesn't mean we should all be singers. There are additional skills and abilities that make people great at what they do besides the anatomical aspect. Parenthood is no exception. Just because we all have reproductive organs doesn't mean we should all be parents. It is a job that is better suited for those who have the skills and the disposition, not just the anatomy.

Some women can’t have kids , and some won’t be married. But you can still have a full filled life without both. By walking in purpose. I have one daughter and that’s enough for me. We see with society that everyone don't need to be married and have children. One of the biggest problem is that people try to force something that's just not meant to be. People just haven't mastered the discipline, wisdom and maturity to lead a life that could be for be single or being married. Everyone who are not called to be single should get married. Everyone who are not called to be married shouldn't be forced into getting married and be single. You have to know your calling and adhere to it.

I think the world would be a much better place, if everyone were this honest with themselves. There's a lot of people that have zero business having kids, or being married. Having kids is a wonderful thing, but it must be done in a good, stable environment, with a great spouse. I don't think people should be shamed for not wanting children, especially women. Just like how not every man is cut out to be a father, or husband, not every woman is cut out to be a mother, or is wife material. A lot of people rush into things, trying to beat societies expectations, and end up in a world of hurt, an misery beyond their wildest comprehension. Do and know what's best for you, but own your choices.

Okay, let me just say this I am a black woman and I have (SPD) now of y'all don't know what that is that schizoid personality disorder when a person would rather be alone and not even be in a relationship or have kids. I have never seen a doctor to get tested to see if I have spd or to see if I am a hermit. A hermit is someone who enjoys being alone, not have any kids, work from home, don't have a relationship not even with close family members. I think I am all that, but some hermits are in a relationship and sometimes I get bored and want a man a husband and maybe a kid. I am a writer so I spend most time in my characters world more than my own world. I live in my stories more than real life. She is a hermit or she either has schizoid personality disorder when a person is aloof and stand offish. When they have a friend they will drop that friend in a heartbeat just as they ask to be your friend they will drop you quick of tou make them mad or step on there toes that's how I am. But I still want a man and a husband, some hermits are in a relationship but most of them not. I think black people we don't know anything about people being a hermit we need to keep learning. I finished school in May 28, 2005 and guess what I am still learning, y'all need to keep learning.

Maybe it’s as simple as she doesn’t want kids. Nothing wrong with that. There are some women who really don’t want kids and just have them because society tells they should. I respect her for knowing who she is and not bending to what society tells her she should do. More people should be that way.
We all have way too different lives and experiences in this human experience for us to be put in a “purpose” box. I agree with her. Im a single man, 38, and the same. Kids seem like a LOT of work. Its like a 2nd job...that you don't get paid for...and is 24hrs a day...and actually costs you a TON of money. Imagine working all day at work just to come home to another job? Count me out

The thing is that at end of the day you can’t exactly make or predict how someone will lead their life and if they are going to grow beyond their early life foundation. In my case, i’m 25/male, I find it super difficult to open up to just people in general with my affection because I come from a single parent household, so I find it almost taboo to show love to someone. It’s not like I don’t want it but I feel like I always default to loving myself because that’s my pattern. So if this woman says she wants to grow herself first she better be really reallly careful about how that will affect her later years. I think you should always at least pursue it but at the end of the day when you come out and claim that it’s an issue for others it’s you projecting.

Man or woman you have to compete and do everything in your power to put yourself in the best scenario to attract a mate. Look at how she is and her mindset, if a man of her type and preference showed up would he even choose her? Not all but many black women want this scenario but refuse to compete and do the work to have that life because a man is supposed to take them as is. If she thinking finding a mate is challenging what about keeping the mate, carrying, birthing, raising the child and also establishing a great family dynamic while being confident and happy with who she is? There is a lot of sacrifice when being a parent and spouse, but the reward for me is greater. For some people, the reward is not greater and many love their freedom. A lot is given up even if temporarily like traveling when you have kids. I remember watching a YT video sometime back about this. I have told my husband that if God forbid anything happened to him, I wouldn’t get married again. It’s bc I want to do what I want to do and when I want to do it. Our marriage is great, but there is a lot of compromising and bc of his job we don’t get to travel as much. Also, my husband is the spender and I’m the saver/investor so we constantly compromise with this.

I’m married, yet we are and will remain child free.
On the contrary to her point and unpopular to many, I needed a leader, provider, protector in my life so I made finding a husband THE priority. In general I need men in my life in different facets. The world doesn’t move without men. It’s my purpose and how I function as a woman to be a helpmate.
I truly believe aside from severe mental or emotional trauma and deficits, women who speak like this have given up and/or don’t have the tools to position themselves as wives/ribs.

I said the EXACT same thing with Kevin Samuels. He wasn't wrong on a micro perspective because women can't survive without men outside of reproduction and procreation of course. But on a MACRO LEVEL that whole Gender War competitive thing was completely hypothetical, non productive and complete fantasy. Of course a fish is not a bird or horse or lion or butterfly but being different or weaker or stronger is not a bad or horrible thing. Stop trying to COMPETE with a bird or fish and UTILIZE their uniqueness and diversity for an actual PRODUCTIVE PURPOSE to achieve compatibility instead of animosity or a "War" of any type. The purpose of a competitive "War" is to actually WIN that war. War and competition have to have a PURPOSE or objective or end goal.
So women do indeed serve a PRODUCTIVE PURPOSE as well as an AESTHETIC ENJOYABLE purpose or EFFECT outside of just pure mundane utility. The Gender War never made sense to me and was a counter productive exercise in futility.
