@@fredrickgilliam6323 you can turn your character towards any direction by pressing triangle while moving the left stick towards the direction you want, you have to input this while in midair of the helmbreaker. That has always been a feature in world :)

This is absolutely stunning... I've never seen anyone use airborne strat quite like you did, and with the heavy artillery and those few extra shots before the first binder... and I thought the boost from evasion mantle multiple times over the course of the fight plus the extra skills you could slot would be better than one hit with the assasin mantle but... clearly I and most others were wrong. that is a phenomenal run. Congrats on your WR!
The evasion mantle is a good boost to dps in general, but that's only if you can effectively proc the buff without wasting any extra time ^^ For example, it's great to use in a nonheroics freestyle setting, where you won't have enough damage to fully script the entire hunt, allowing fatalis to actually perform his attacks in p3. You can effectively use evasion mantle in this scenario! However, running heroics lvl 7 along with cat cheerhorn Atk L, evasion buff is not very useful considering that all of the attack buffs in this run are enough to fully kill fatalis by the end of the script. :) Thank you for your kind words, and thank you for watching! ^^
In this specific setting of cat + heroics you also lose the majority of what evasion would do due to hitting the raw cap. Edit: To provide some numbers and more context - This build sits only 16 raw away from cap after p1 exit when drug and seed are active. Using evasion for that is just a huge waste of a mantle slot and time spent proccing it. To top it off the most relevant place to use evasion in a run like this, would be in a lengthy p2 or p3 script- Most likely involving aerial which EASILY hits raw cap anyway thanks to airborne being another 1.3x. (yes p1 evasion is possible too, it's just not that great in heroics runs imo, though you could argue on this) Evasion is more prevalent if you choose to go the FC route for example or as Kiza mentioned in non heroics.

That was one hell of a finisher. Imagine being Fatalis in that situation: the puny human that has somehow been absolutely destroying you vanishes in a plume of smoke, and as you look for them you feel a stab in your right arm. “Ha, not so stealthy anymore,” you think. You see them slam out of the air onto the floor as you feel nothing. You prepare to roar, filling your lungs and rearing your head back to unleash a powerful battle cry, and then suddenly, out of seemingly nowhere, your head just falls off.
Beautiful display of what LS can really do, youve helped inspire me to somewhat learn fatty mechanics enough to be able to know what im talking about, love the work youve done, and cant wait to maybe see more like it
One of the main reasons i love MHW is the music so when i find a speed run that doesn't just use the beautiful OST its usually not going in my favorite list. Despite that i really liked this run, i didn't know it was possible to even get this low of a time. Awesome to see people still speed running this game!
I have been going down a rabbit hole watching these types of insane runs on MHW and it is obvious to me now that even after the 2000+ hours I've put into this game, I have clearly been playing it wrong.
To this day, I'm still amazed, people are still doing speed runs of this game, I feel like Rise was far from reaching World. And the best thing is that each speedrun is better than the last and it has been 5 years since this game was released.
This is so perfect I was thinking it was TAS. Damn good job! This is easily the best Fatalis run yet! Who cares if smoke bomb HBG is faster, the amount of skill this takes and mastery of the fight is phenomenal!
I remember i gave up trying to beat him solo years ago, can so the whole game no proboem except him but ive been motivated to try again. Your setups were so smart using his big ass head to steer you also the ledge hop attacks??? Never even thought of that

@@luxbahamut7012 I don't recommend using the build from this video as it is by no means meant for general use at all, I'm sure there are good general end game builds around on the internet ^^ on a regular build, I run 1 health augment, 1 affinity, and 1 element or defense depending if you want dmg vs comfort
Coming from a music nerd, the music choice was on point. And the crisp perfect merge between the final SHB and the drop of the song was perfect (almost, you missed by one 64th note at tempo. basically 3 frames at 210fps if thats what you were running)
It’s alright! I think a hefty amount of the player base struggle and have not beaten Fatalis yet either, it’s just a fight where the monster will heavily punish anyone who gets way too greedy, OR playing way too safe. I really enjoy it because it forces you to figure out how to properly counter each of his attacks rather than just brute-forcing with no strategy :) With enough patience (and maybe some guides on fatty) I’m sure you can beat him eventually ^^
