Ohhh God I can’t even imagine what Styler is feeling right now. I played high level jr and collegiate tennis and I still recall 15 years later the two matches I had match points and lost, as they still sort of haunt me today, and that was in jr tennis. He had 4 match
points to win the NCAA Championship, something that you will follow you forever and in the history books. You also receive a wild card into the US Open later his year. I hope he is absolutely plastered right now.
wow... Quinn up 2 breaks at 5-2 in first, and lost set... then Styler up 4 match points in 2nd set and loses match! Crazy. Looks like it was a great match.
nice spoiler, a hole
Congrats Ethan. Onto the pro tour!
That was a heck of a match by possibly two of the best College players. Well done!!
I've become a huge fan of this kid, Ethan. Not only for his skills, but for his tremendous sportsmanship. His parents raised a good human being.
Same here. Really hope he could be in Shelton’s position next year this time. Would be even better if he could manage his self taking language on court 😆
27:05 if you pause it at 27:00 then go frame by frame the forehand was wide
20:33 jesus
I sincerely feel bad for all the runner ups of this tournament
Styler choked harder than Federer 2019 Wimbledon
fr
That was the one singles match styler lost all year ... he hasn't played a match since that day actually. I know those 4 match points haunt him . He basically choked a guaranteed 81k from us open. Tennis is tuff man
He retired from pro tennis and is working as an Investment Banking Analyst at Credit Sussie in wall street. Probably better life ahead...
@@newycphoto That's great to hear .I'm happy for him .Its just cool to think about what if he won this match yk ? Would he have pursued pro tennis ? Would he have still become an Investment Banking Analyst at Credit Sussie in wall street ? who knows glad it all worked out in the end tho
also styler has good sportsmanship
Super classy from styler overruling ball in on breakpoint
Second this. It’s also so sweet that Ethan didn’t celebrate too much after such big win to hurt Styler’s feeling. The best match of the whole tournament! Great tennis, great sportsmanship
I’m glad styler lost the screaming cmon after a double fault is classless
it always feels like ethan's serve toss is way too far over to the left. maybe it's tactical for disguising with kick serve
4:32 did Styler overrule the out call?
15:27 oof that fan messed it up for Styler
He did. Great sportsmanship
Come on man! 😂
27:02 was actually wide
Yeah that shot was way out. Watched it live and it was obvious then, no idea how a lines person missed that easy of a call
0:18 let service why?
College tennis play lets and no ads
@@David-gf9ub thank you
the clapping/encouragement after the points is annoying. instead of applauding good play it is just a scream fest by each side for their guy.
