Please go into further depth on Facets and User Front End. I think there's a lot that can be done with these plugins and understand you were only able to scratch the surface about them in this video.
This was a great tutorial thanks. I'm using a similar recipe: Blocksy, ACF, Formidable Forms, Generate Blocks, FacetWP. What do you think of that combo? To be fair, a lot of what was covered in this video can be done with JetEngine. But, there is a larger user base for ACF and it's a more mature product. JetEngine still lacks front end form submission for any type of content. Hopefully they'll expand the current tool to be able to create and map any kind of data. Hi Paul, Great tutorial. I didn't relaise you could do so much with Elementor. I've followed along and created a directory site which works great except for one thing - in the search results page my grid doesn't have any spacing between each item like it does on the listing page. I noticed that yours is the same as well. Any idea how to fix this?
If you've created your own custom loop using Ele Custom Skin, just add some margins around the design and you'll get some additional space around the search results. I just did things quickly in the video to not waste time styling things. That should sort it all out for you :0)
@@WPTuts I created another loop in Ele Custom Skin and added some spacing to that and used that in my search archive template. For some reason there was spacing on the listings page but not in the search archive page. Worked a treat. Thanks Paul 👍🏼
Hi great tutorial! What would i need to do to implement an account for the businesses publishing content to be able to update their listings? What plugins or theme would you recommend to build a vendor, booking services website? Thanks again
You can use WP User Frontend to create the options for users to sign up to add and edit their content. It's a very powerful plugin for managing content. 😁
This is awesome, thank you! However, quick question: We are building a directory and would like to bullet point / list services available at each organisation. Is there a way to dynamically for Elementor to change the organisation page according to the data? Ie: Counselling is available at organisation - so "chat" icon and word "counselling" appears? Then in our data we can list many different services, and if in csv file says "yes", then the system knows what to show? Similar to what Airbnb and hotel sites do, to show services at location. Also having an issue with, services near me search, but this question is already long enough lol Many thanks
Hey Paul, thanks for your time and effort in making my websites better! Love your videos. None of my pictures of my pictures from my businesses pops up, when I press apply and preview (19:25 minute marker 15:15) in settings when making a default business loop. What am I doing wrong? Cheers
Thank you so much for sharing this valuable insight. I have a question related to site speed. For the amount of plugins installed, do you think it will make the site slower?
Thanks for such enlightening video (as every one I have seen so far from your channel). Does ACF Front End Pro allows to granularly control the access to certain types of businesses depending on the logged in type of user?. Can it prevent the access to the listing to not logged users?
Hey Paul! How can we add like ten amenities a hotel can have, dynamically and display them inline or by default? I use ACF plugin and when I try to add the amenities that I have added to my business listings it shows me only the first one with a tick icon and all the others next to the first without an icon... Do I need to do it with CSS code? It shows me like below: ✔ WC, tv, balcony, patio, parking area, etc.... As you can see I want the tick (✔ ) to be displayed on each amenity separately!
Great video as always Paul. Do you know if there's a way to create a map with the business locations on the same (archive) page with ACF? i.e. all of the businesses on the same map?
It can be done but I've not actually done it myself. I did find and bookmark this. but I've just not had the time to go over it and see how easy it would be to impliment. wpbeaches.com/create-multiple-marker-map-from-acf-google-map-location-field-and-a-cpt/?fbclid=IwAR0mM1-jG3AL6qO1WoFsaQQdZgD05oIRWop9rq2p4c9HfdGDcd7piiz-3OM

Within the profile the company can be edited and it should be possible to preview the result. Users who come to the site do not need to be logged in to see the companies. Additional features like rating, watchlist and company to claim for themselves would be great! Thanks for your help! Is it possible with Elementor Pro and ACF Fields Pro and a Membership Plugin?

What would you suggest would be the best tool for the job? Would the plugins used in this tutorial allow me to do this, or would I need another? Many thanks, Kelvin
Hi Paul. Great video. I worked my way through it but I get stuck on the Elementor Shortcode or Facet WP. It doesn't work. It shows blank on the page. Is this a compatibility issue or something I missed in your video?
Is this possible to show a map on a business listing grid page to show different businesses on the map using Advanced Custom Fields Pro & Elementor Pro?
Hi Paul C. I wonder if there's an update to this tutorial given that it's 3 years old and FacetWP and WPUF must be different now. I'm following your tutorials but thought there may be a newer, better way of achieving the same result. Appreciate your work and I look forward to your reply.
Hi Paul, thanks for bringing clarity to the world of Wordpress through your amazing tutorials. Please, any chance you can do a tutorial on WP Frontend Pro? Standalone use with Elementor and also with ACF. Thanks again!
Absolutely, I'll be covering WPUFP in more detail in the near future along with some other plugins that do similar things to provide options at various different price points.
Love is explanation ❤. But is there a way to create custom archive template to display those business by type and location instead of using Facet plugin?
Hello, when i create the filters in facet and then try to use the filter (the toggle one), once y press toggle it show no filters below, do you know what coud be the reason?, i already try everything :( Thanks in advance i would really apreciate it!
After I created the loop it won't let me tweak the page... where did you tweak it also on elementor publish settings conditions there is no entire site option?

Love the way you explain. Thank you for such a wonderful video. Can you please make detail video on FacetWP and WP User Frontend Pro? Thanks in advance. Stay Blessed! :)
Hey Paul, I would love to tackle this using Oxygen 3. Are you able to suggest how it can be done, given that ACF and CPT are compatible with Oxygen. Thanks for a great channel.
User front end seems to be a really solid plugin designed to do a very specific thing. Are there any other plugins (paid or free) that do the same thing? Also, any idea how may active install user front end has? Tia
There are other plugins that provide some of the options like front end form submission, editing forms, etc. I'm currently testing a few options out and will be covering those in future videos. You could also take a look at PAFE and Dynamic Content for Elementor which I believe has frontend forms as an option. 👍

Hi Paul, Thanks for sharing your knowledge! superb! I have a question, I noticed the wp user frontend is compatible with ACF; how about if I use jet engine instead of ACF? Thank you so much
I'm pretty sure it only works with ACF. However, take a look at Piotnet Add-ons for Elementor as that also offers front end form submission and works with ACF, JetEngine, etc. Take a look at my recent video on using it. 👍
Hi, I have carefully followed the tutorial and I have found that when I create a form to insert advertisements from the front end with User Frontend, the Taxonomies fields do not appear, so I cannot associate the advertisement to the right category. Where did I go wrong?
[SOLVED] So nice again. This channel is a goldmine. Except I got stuck at 00:40 . The shortcode is not interpreted (not shown at all either), even though I added and activated the "FacetWP for elementor" plugin too. And pasted the code in the text tab of the editor. Any idea ?
Make sure to enable the FacetWP in the page ! You need to select the loop "Archive Posts", and in the left hand section enable FacetWP. Otherwise it will not work.
ACF Pro seems to bug when it comes to URL and LINK fields. They do not come up in the Elementor Dynamic Tag key choices even to this date. Have you experienced this too?
I need to show a page where the posts that are close to the location of a visitor are shown, I have a cpt with services and in them I have a location field, it is a field made with acf, so I want it to show all the posts but organized by those closest to the customer’s location, What plugin do you recommend for it?, do you have any video where you do something similar?
Thanks for a nice tutorial! Is there a way to get the email and web dynamic data on the single business template clickable like in the jetengine tutorial? Maybe I missed that.
Fantastic video Paul. The CPT submission was an important piece I was trying to accomplish with JetEngine, this setup seems much more viable. One piece I'd like you to expand on is what about members being able to edit submissions they made?
@@WPTuts Awesome, that is a big piece I really need to incorporate. Letting clients/visitors sign up to submit a listing and then also to be able to edit to update information after they've already made a submission.
Unfortunately JetSmartFilters doesn't currently work with ACF. FacetWP supports ACF and I'm currently trying to demonstrate a range of different ways to achieve certain results. There always overlapping ways and tools, so just a combination that is a great option but not the only way. 😁
Dear Paul! I have a question by watching this excellent tutorial. The thing I noticed when I tried to display my created listings into a new page with posts widget of elementor pro (as you suggest from 15:20'), is that this widget only shows me the restaurant listings and not the hotel ones that I have also created in my site. So I tried another way for this: I used the portfolio widget of elementor pro, instead and in the Query section->Source: Listings | Include by Term: Listing categories and from there I chose: "Hotels" and that just solved my problem of showing. [Because this term is items in a taxonomy I created. I do not know if there is any other way to proceed with the way you suggest (post widget) but for me, the first one did not work, so I decided to go with this one. Lastly, is there a good alternatively of facetwp? It is a bit an expensive option for some, maybe. Other than that, excellent help as always!

@@24SevenMarketing once you get comfortable with the principles of custom post types, custom fields, taxonomies, etc., using any of the popular tools becomes a lot easier.
Each has a learning curve, but your supplimenting that with an understanding of the core principles.
So, swapping between the likes of ACF and JetEngine becomes a lot easier. 👍
Such useful info in one video. hats off! 🙌
Well Done / Explained - Would be cool to get more into FacetsWP a bit.
This was awesome and powerful. Thank you
Really solid tut. More advanced videos like this please :-)
Hi Paul,
Great tutorial.
@@howtosetupawebsitewithmark6870 great to hear it sorted the issue out for you. 😁🤘
Thnx Paul for this Great Tut, i have a Question: how can i make the Form a Multi Steps form?
Very helpful video! Thank you
Thank you for an excellent tutorial. Please do an in-depth tutorial on FacetWP!
Great Tut. Wondering how would you add a business"Nearest Me" result in the search, based on your current location. GeoLocation?
Seems like FaceWP has an add-on that could do the trick : vimeo.com/236259353
Great job, this helps me a bunch. If you want another topic: ACF PRO & WPML.. I am struggling a bit here
Thanks Paul, please consider a detailed video on WP User Frontend Pro (howto select and edit a custom post in frontend).
Thanks for the wonderful video ❤
My pleasure. 👍
Cheers
Thanks alot sir, I really appreciate your time and energy. it was so helpful to me and my world.
Thank you so much for sharing this valuable insight. I have a question related to site speed. For the amount of plugins installed, do you think it will make the site slower?
Hey Paul, does facets can be used for proximity search? If, can you show how? Cheers, Denis
It shows me like below:
✔ WC, tv, balcony, patio, parking area, etc.... As you can see I want the tick (✔ ) to be displayed on each amenity separately!
Hello Paul, my go-to-guy! would love more in-depth review of the user front-end, bought it based on your tut but their videos are lacking

@@WPTuts Thank you!
@@davidmarek72 if you do a search on the channel, I did find a solution to this and created a video on it. Just search for multi pin map and it should come up.
@@WPTuts Got it, thanks! All I need now is a proximity widget and that will be every box ticked!
Great video. Would like a detailed FacetWP video
wow! this is so helpful! thank you!
Thanks for all the geat vids of you! I watched a lot of them in th recent time! I have a question:
I'm looking for a plugin that allows visitors of the website to register first and then create your company within their account, which will then be displayed in the company directory.
Thanks Paul!
I've followed the video and now have a working Business Directory, AMAZING! Thank you so much for your effort :)
I'm looking to take this a step further and allow the businesses that create listings the ability to have their own profile and edit their listings.
Would you be able to include ratings/reviews for the listings, and if so do you have a recommendation for that? Thank you!
hi Paul WP User Frontend Pro or ACF Frontend better? both recommended by u
This tutorial Save my project. I really love you ❤
Great to hear it's helped you out. :0)
Hi there and thanks for the videos! Why use taxonomies instead of metafields though in regards to filtering with facetWP? Thank you
I think Taxonomies are a more logical way of organisation.
But you can use whichever method you'd prefer. 👍
Do you have a video about creating city pages with E Pro and something else (free versions)?
Hi Paul, thanks for bringing clarity to the world of Wordpress through your amazing tutorials. Please, any chance you can do a tutorial on WP Frontend Pro? Standalone use with Elementor and also with ACF. Thanks again!
Absolutely, I'll be covering WPUFP in more detail in the near future along with some other plugins that do similar things to provide options at various different price points.
Love is explanation ❤. But is there a way to create custom archive template to display those business by type and location instead of using Facet plugin?
Hello, when i create the filters in facet and then try to use the filter (the toggle one), once y press toggle it show no filters below, do you know what coud be the reason?, i already try everything :(
Thanks in advance i would really apreciate it!
After I created the loop it won't let me tweak the page... where did you tweak it also on elementor publish settings conditions there is no entire site option?
Thanks for another great tutorial :-) Quick question regarding FacetWP, is it possible to filter using an icon with text beside it versus the checkbox option...?
Hello Paul, I'm a big fan of your Tuts (in France, so sorry for my language) !!!
Your videos help me all days for my project, thank you very much 😃😉😇
I am blocked in my wp dev because i need to add woocommerce products in my business listing (my business partners sell their products in my website). How can i link products with business listing ? Have you got an other tutorial for that or some advices ?
Great video! Thanks so much! Quick question: can Elementor Custom Loop be used to create custom product displays for WooCommerce?
Hmmm, if you can access the WooCommerce data you could use Ele Custom Skins to build the loop.
There is a pro version in development that will provide access to more dynamic data. Hopefully that will include Woo fields too. 👍
Can facetwp filter posts/pages by acf choice field type (both single and multiple choices)? thanks!
Wich licence did you use for "WP User Frontend Pro"? Personal should be fine, right?
Hey Paul, is there a way to add an „Open now“ filter for the business with facetWP?
Hi WP Tuts! How does Geodirectoy compare to ACF and Jet Engine? I currently have the license for Geodirectory and find it very confusing. Thank you!
WPTuts thank you!
@@StephenMichaelMeyer my pleasure.
hello , thanks for this tutorial i just want to ask how do u approach like create fronted dashboard where the user can log-in and see all the listings that he/she create, and also perform [CRUD] Create,Read,Update,Delete.
Is there an easy way for wordpress to create the person who submits the listing a user, so that they can edit this themselves?
hI Paul, would love to see more of what WP User Frontend Pro can do. Its settings look busy with lots of stuff. TIA. :)
@@WPTuts Thanks alot for your response. It shows how dedicated and responsible you are! Sure I will check your Piotnet video. Cheers
Hi, I have carefully followed the tutorial and I have found that when I create a form to insert advertisements from the front end with User Frontend, the Taxonomies fields do not appear, so I cannot associate the advertisement to the right category.
Where did I go wrong?
Hi that happens to me too! Did you found the way to solve it?
Great vid as always..... Everything is easy!
Unfortunately not with the Elementor form widget. There no option for dynamic values in the to field.
Also, can business owners, who listed their business, adit the listing afterward?
Excellent Video....i like sir
Fantastic video Paul. The CPT submission was an important piece I was trying to accomplish with JetEngine, this setup seems much more viable. One piece I'd like you to expand on is what about members being able to edit submissions they made?
I'll be looking into the Frontend submission plugin in more detail and that will definitely include information about managing the content. 👍
@@WPTuts Awesome, that is a big piece I really need to incorporate. Letting clients/visitors sign up to submit a listing and then also to be able to edit to update information after they've already made a submission.
Hey pez reloaded, were you able to get WP Frontend Pro to work with JetEngine, or does it only work with ACF?
@@roblilley2343 I haven't tried using WP Frontend pro yet.
@@roblilley2343 BTW WP User Frontend Pro has a LTD on Appsumo right now.
Thanks, great video as always.
Hi Paul.. great video... Just wondering why you went with FacetWp rather than crocoblocks plugins? Cheers
So I tried another way for this:
I used the portfolio widget of elementor pro, instead and in the Query section->Source: Listings | Include by Term: Listing categories and from there I chose: "Hotels" and that just solved my problem of showing.
