@@lisaerez if I have this right, if your template is the same for every product and only the data being output is different and based upon the link to that product, you should just need to setup the template conditions to apply to single for your custom post type and that should then filter the data to show the relevant product info.

Question about Page vs. Loop - Around 25:40 you create a page that displays your properties with a portfolio widget. At 54:20 you create a loop for the properties. The first displays properties via page/portfolio, the second displays properties via page/loop Layout > Skin (Classic, Cards, Custom). Great tutorial- very clear. One thing I don't understand is why you have one page with 'Properties For Sale' (25:52) and another with 'Properties' (58:16). Don't they serve the same purpose (to show the properties)?

HI There, After you set up the listings are you able to use short code to display listings on different website pages? Also, Are you able to create a search feature so visitors can search by size, location, price, amenities, etc...?
❤❤❤❤❤ Very much appreciated. I love how much careful you are about clarifying why and how to set up everything, well detailed information. Speedy work! You have a great way of teaching 😊 Thank you!
Terrific video as usual Paul. One question is how can you create search parameters. People want to look for maximum price, minimum bedrooms and so on. Can't quite work out how to do this.
Take a look at FacetWP as that should provide you with a ton of filtering options. My last couple of ACF tutorials have featured it, so you may want to check those out to see how it all works :0)
Hi Just wanted to say thanks for uploading your content. Please keep it up you have taught me so much over the past few weeks and I'm extremely greatfull. I have used your Elementor pro affiliate link and any products I purchase in the future I will always check to see if you have a link for them maybe you should put a page on your website with all your links so people can quickly check. all the best.

Hi Paul. Excellent Video. Question if I can... I have made a site full of custom post types, but now the client wants to categorise these. that is fine, but is there to make a custom "category" page. For example, using your version in this video... Lets say each house had a sub category of Datached, Semi Detached, Terrace etc. And I wanted to create a category page that ONLY showed the categories (similar to how woocommerce shows sub categories) How would i use all the plugins in your video to create that custom category template?
HI Paul, Thanks for this tute and for all your other tuturials which are just great. I am having an issue which I have racked my brains for ages and i have re-done and followed your tute at least twice. On the Portforio page my Rental taxonomy shows correctly. But when I click the image to display the underlying listing - it shows a 404 page not found error. I have installed elementor Pro and ACF pro. Appreciate your help.
hello, thanx for the video,I have one question,is there a way on the filtering to add lets say location categories on the filtering instead of the type of apartments,or add more filters in general ?is there a plugin you would suggest to do this for real estate ?this tutorial was awesome
You could look at something like FacetWP to create multi-level filtering. If you take a look at my recent tutorial on building a food blog you can see it in action there (check out the timestamps in the description to jump to the relevant part if you don't want to watch the whole video).
Hey Paul, the gallery option if you don't have ACF Pro is there another way to do it by building in the gallery option from elementor to the single post template? You would then have to add the images manually. Is that corrects? Thank you.
Great Video! I have built something similar very recently using the same technique. Do you have a Searching / filtering video as that's the only part you haven't covered and I am unable to find a decent video on it.
Hey Paul If you know off the bat I have a quick question - If I have a loop template setup with (post title) for example and want that title to use the link / http field type from a acf, where would I assign that in Elementor?
You're my hero Paul ! Though it's the end of my job as a webdeveloper. ;-) One question though : why putting the Garage Yes/No as checkbox. Option would be a better choice. Or just one checkbox, not two. Once again, brilliant demo. Elementor should hire you as evangelist.
Great tutorial so far! When I get to part to add Single, I have option 'Single', 'Single Post' and 'Single Page' - none have an option to choose property posts type! There is only an option to choose type of template (none of which is a property post) and a second option to name the template...... Help!
Same here. Can't choose the post type. Have you found a solution or workaround? Would really appreciate it. Thanks

Great tutorial as always, Paul. Especially for the beginners and intermediate developers, like a cheatsheet of a kind. However, it will be useful to take into consideration to take this "game" into the higher level for advanced devs like I am. For instance add a couple more CPTs, use relationships between them, displaying related posts between CPTs, advanced search forms, frontend submission ...etc. Currently working on Toolset+Elementor listing directory and it will be very nice to compare how advanced things can be achieved with both. Thanks, again, for the great content you provide on your channel.
It's a very nice tutorial and can you please add some more advance features on it like creating advance search form,Agent information with contact form on each property listing and creating labels on featured images of property listing like for sale, new, premium etc.
Thank you for this great video. Why did you choose the pound sign in the Price custom field if you are hardcoding it inside Elementor? Shouldn't Elementor read and display the pound sign from the custom filed?
The £ sign used in the back end of our custom fields was just used to show what was being entered and wasn't stored as part of the data through ACF. Setting the field to be numeric won't allow (AFAIK) additional characters that are not numeric.
I love to watch your videos, I try to repeat all your steps, but When I create a new card for my list, ACF pro cannot show taxonomy for my to link data from AFC to Elementor pro. I bought both of AFC pro and Elementor Pro. There is any caution or notion to escape from error like that
Excellent video, thanks for making great content. Is there a way to add a dynamic video filed, i.e. each post/listing will have a different video feeding from a Vimeo?
Great video thanks. My question is about using Repeater fields or any way to show the amenities of the flat as I check the different ones in the backend? For example, if I check "WiFi and electricity" under "Included in the price", those ones appear on the website. Thanks
Great job! I absolutely love your videos. By any chance, could you create a new video showcasing the incredible new features of Advanced Custom Fields Pro and Elementor Pro? I'm new to this and planning to build a website, but I'm unsure if Elementor Pro is a comprehensive theme builder. Thank you!
Thank yo so much for this tutorial. I followed the steps and I was able to build my real estate property listings. Thanks again. I am in the process of building a search box for the same site and I was wondering if and how I could use the same plugins to do just that? Do you have a tutorial on this as well??? Your prompt response will be appreciated
Just curious... what product did you use to create the introduction sequence of this video showing the animation of the webpages and supplementary information... it's magnificent!
Excellent video and just step-by-stepped it for 2 real estate sites. Do you know any way to pull in data from the MLS in USA to populate the fields in ACF? All of the IDX plugins format their own templates - not very pretty. thanks !
Hello, thank you for this video it really helps. However, I am facing a problem here, when I go to elementor to create a single post type my CPT UI (in your video was "property" it just not show) there's only page and 404... (Is in the 31:10 time of the video) Do you have any idea about this kind of error? Please if you could help I'll be glad... Thanks
Paul, thank you for this. I've learned a lot, BUT...I am unable to complete this tutorial, and it may need to be updated. I've repeated the entire tutorial twice, step by step, but I am blocked at 27:10. Either I missed a step three times, or the tutorial is incompatible with the latest versions the plugins. I'm not the only one with this problem. Another user noted this same issue in the comments 5 months ago. I've spent 2 days on this. Not writing to complain, really. I'm grateful for your excellent tutorials. I just want to help others by alerting them to the problem on this one, before they're frustrated like me. So... At 27:10 , where you select post type>properties, "properties" isn't showing up in my post type drop down, so I can't select it, even though I have created the properties post type. At 30:40, where you select "Single," on my screen there are more choices offered than your screen shows. I can choose "Single" or "Single Post" or "Single Page" there, but your screen doesn't show those choices. No matter which one I choose, on the next step, "Property" does not show up in the post type pull down even though I have created that post type using the Custom Post Type UI, and the "Property" post type does show on the list of registered post types when I go to CPT UI>Registered Types.
Hi Paul, another very helpful movie. I wondered if you had a solution for ACF's Flexible Content. Since Elementor Pro is not compatible and it's an essential feature for allowing clients to add new page structure or layouts from the admin area.
Hey Paul - Great Stuff !!- Did they remove the (Loop) Custom Post Type Template? I know they changed a few things over the upgrade but now it is not an option.
Are you referring to the Loop tab in the video in the theme builder / templates section? If so, that's not part of the default Elementor Pro setup; that's from the Ele Custom Skins plugin.
Hello Great Tutorial! Can you please show how to add search form for properties on home page with fields like location, price range slider etc? also it would be nice if you show hot to add property filters (like no. of bedrooms, amenities etc) on search result page and select filter options and search again. That would complete the whole project.
Prasad Diwan all that has now been covered in the Advanced Real Estate website tutorial on the channel. If you do a quick search on the channel you’ll find it and the description has full time stamps so you can jump to the parts you want to know about. 👍
I'm trying to style the field names in bold like you've done at 41:53. But It's not working for me. Have also tried and tags, but no luck. Anyone got any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Very clear explanation of custom fields. I learned a lot. In many businesses like real estate there are sources of items for sale by various companies. For example real estate offices here in the US usually belong to a multiple listing service that aggregates all the listings from all the offices ... and allows each office to down load ALL the listings from ALL the offices. Can you do a video on how this kind of data feed can be integrated with custom fields so that I can create websites where the data is received from a data feed instead of being manually entered? I know there are plugins for integrating with MLS services ... but I don't have the names of any of them handy.
That would pretty specialised and not too sure if I could actually have access to the data source to test things out. I may look into it in the future if there was enough call for it, but fear it may be a little too niche for me to cover.
@@WPTuts thanks for the reply ... I just wanted to use the real estate MLS data feed as an example. More generally I am looking for a tool that will let me pull in the dynamic data from a database ... other than the WP database
@@24SevenMarketing that will generally require some kind of proprietary plugin to get the 2 systems talking to each other. I'm sure there are options for many data feeds out there, but it's not something I've ever really needed to use I'm afraid.
@@WPTuts thanks again for replying ... I'm just thinking that if there is a tool kit out there that could provide a set of tool to connect wordpress to a database it would open up a huge numbers of opportunities. Imagine having a Craigslist type site with the power of Wordpress and Elementor available to make a really good looking site. Or any kind of site where you have a list generated by input from users. I've built some simple sites with PHP and HTML but making any changes to those sites with HARD CODED HTML was always way too much of a pain and those sites quickly got forgotten. I was drawn into using Wordperss in its earliest days because it freed me up from having to deal with so much HTLM and PHP coding... but I never got deep enough into it to where I felt comfortable fooling around with the core Wordpress code. Now in the last couple years seeing all the improvements in Wordpress with the development of some really powerful page builder plugins like Elementor my mind keeps wandering back to building better looking database driven websites. If you come across anything you think could help me with this please let me know. After page builders and custom posts I think the next big advance with Wordperss will be creating plugins to allow the data to be drawn from a database other than the core WP database.
This is a great tutorial, thank you!! I just have one question - As you show in the video, we can have types of properties, and we create a template post for the residential properties (which include bedrooms). But if I am going to add a commercial property, how do I link it to a different template post that doesnt have the dynamic field of bedrooms. I hope it makes sense!! thank you so much for your amazing tutorials!!
Or in this case I would need to create a new CPT and not have everything under properties but rather one for residential properties and another one for commercial properties?
I'm going to need this soon. I was looking at the Real Estate theme yesterday that Elementor has but couldn't see how you created the property posts. So I will have a go at this.
I watch you're videos about real estate website for some time, and i try to make one of my own right now. I am an real estate agent in Romania and i try to list my properties on my own site. I have a problem right now in the Themplates - Theme Builder - Single, as i was making my website in the same time with you i realized that is a difference. I didn't find the Featured Image to select for the background Post. Can you please explain to me what i make different?
If one of the content groups in the ACF plugin is of the Checkbox type, used to list different services offered by a business, how can I use Elementor to list those services, with each item having an icon? It can be displayed either vertically or horizontally, and it doesn't matter if the same icon is used for all services.
Love watching your content. One question I have is, how can I set up pay per lead payment. For example when customer is interested in client services and client would like to receive customer details, they have to make payment. How can I set that up? I done so much research and couldn't find it. I thought I might need to play around with JavaScript or PHP. Can you advise please?
Paul, this is so helpful and thorough. I am struggling with how to add a further feature: Downloadable files for each property (eg. floor plan, brochure, energy efficiency rating, etc). Adding one document would be easy, using ACF and say an Elementor Icon Box widget (file icon with heading). But how could I show 2 or more downloadables, effectively dynamically generating an Icon List ?
@@WPTuts Yes, definitely ACF repeater region. But I can't get my head around how to setup repeating fields for icon, file and name in the Single template.
Thank you Paul! I love it how you are showing there are more ways than one to achieve something. However, I would love it if you'd also pick up another tool you've got hidden in your toolbox, Dynamic Content for Elementor, and show some of the dynamics of that plugin. It has had some interesting updates with additional features and I can't get the hang of it without your guidance 🥺
Funnily enough I was looking at some of the option it has yesterday. I will be pivoting the channel a little over the coming months to inlcude a lot more intermediate to advanced topics, including using more dynamic tools to create more advanced websites. So, I can imagine that will also include Dynamic Content for Elementor as it does offer some great tools (although, the documentation is still pretty lacking).
WPTuts thank you, it is exactly that, the lack of documentation that is so frustrating. They do respond quickly to e-mails, but without a treasure map and also a proper guide for this gem it is too daunting to use. JetEngine for instance has plenty of documentation, but if it wasn't for AJ Toker and your explanation I'd still be 🤯 crawling in the dark. Dynamic.oo has announced coming up with support for the ACF Repeater, maybe when they do, that will be a reason for you to do another video.
@@Elsteck yeah, the jet plugins have a lot of documentation, but I don't feel it says much. It's more of an overview of how various aspects are intended to be used, but not HOW to use them in many cases. Hopefully that is something that will change and the same with Dynamic.ooo plugin. Hmm, more options for ACF Repeater fields would be great. Anywhere Elementor makes it pretty easy too. :)
Hi there and thanks for the tut! Would it be possible to have the link of the website you created? It'd be cool to navigate it and see how it came out. Thank you!
Unfortunately, it was developed on a local test server for speed. Maybe in the future I'll set some of the demos up online so you can see the end results :)
Paul congratulations for the video follow you because I have learned a lot and I am trying to set up a directory of a city and I think it will make a big difference but I would like to know how to put for example all companies to appear on Google Maps together in different addresses if you can help me I really appreciate it.
For the CPT, you could add property location as you did with property type? Or would it be best to allocate property location under custom field taxonomy? Thanks Paul!
Personally, I would set this up through a custom taxonomy as it makes filtering easier. This weeks new tutorial will show you how to do that and also how to filter it.
This is an amazing tutorial, so easy to follow, and I'\m getting excited as to what I can do with it! But, I can't completely wrap my brain around the loop section close to the end of the video. Can someone dumb this down for me as to how it applies and how I can apply it? I was doing so well until this point! I'm building a similar website for my company and i really want to understand everything here!
Thank you for the video. Is it possible to set conditions based on the value of the custom field while creating a single post template? For example, i am creating a real estate website and the templates will differ a bit according to property types i.e House vs office vs land
Hello again! I have 2 questions. A. I use the gutenberg editor and I tried to edit with elementor builder a business listing page but when it zones to edit the text widget unfortunately, don't have the option. There are only the style and advanced tabs on the edit area in elementor. Not the *content" one.. So the only solution is to download the old editor, write my content text so as to manage to edit the text then within elementor ui? Or use the elementor block for Gutenberg plugin? B. Is would also be a good idea to create videos about the mobile responsiveness of such a wonderful design that you create like with this video here.
Hello Paul thanks for this great video, it really helped a lot but i have a question, is there a way to link the Listings to woocommerce so as to make the customer purchase directly from the custom single page? Thanks
Off the top of my head, I'm not sure there would be an automated way of linking the 2. However, there would be no real problem manually inserting the page URL via a custom field that you then used to populate the purchase button inside your template. You could also use dynamic conditions to not show the button if no WooCommerce link was included in a post.
Hello, thank you for this nice tutorial. In Templates i've single post & single page and not "single". "Select Post Type" don't appear also. How can i do it ??
Amazing and insightful. We have a couple of holiday property websites we are looking to rebuild, they all use Divi and far to many plugins to basically do what you have just demonstrated. We are possibly going to use a Real Estate Theme with Elementor only because we need an advanced search bar. Currently we use Search WP however we need 3 options like... Area > Guests > Pets > Search Button. Is there any option in doing this with what you've demonstrated above? I love the idea of only needing to rely on Elementor, not another theme to add addition functions, half we don't need, and a more advance search.
@@Fabulousnorfolk they certainly are and I can totally understand why. It's a key area of listing sites and would be great to have full control. I'll definitely be on the look out for something viable and will also do some content on adding filters in to ACF listings too.
@@timrob1 We have seen this before however we are in need of a search bar with a couple of search parameters, fields that when combined bring a focused result. Search & Filter Pro dosen't offer this from what I can see and it also isn't great looking. Our search continues :)
It would take a little tweaking for the design to be fully responsive, but no more than any other page to be honest. I didn't go over the responsive elements as the video was more geared to intermediate level users who are more than comfortable with editing the page through Elementor. 😀

Hi Paul, love this video. I am building a website for a dog rescue charity and this has helped me immensely. I have a question - if I want to include video in some posts what is the best way to do that. Also some dogs have one image and some have 5 what is the best way to display these on my Elementor template. I am going to purchase ACF Pro to be able to have the gallery option. Also is there a free Filter plugin, didn’t want to spend $99 per year for that. Thank you for the videos, always clear and helpful.
Hi Tracy, if the cost of the filter plugin is an issue then it's worth taking a look at searchandfilter.com/ which is only $20 for a single license and should provide you with key filtering options required. You should be able to create a custom field to drop in the URL for a UA-cam or Vimeo video and then use Elementor's video widget and the dynamic option for the URL and link that to your ACF video URL field. As for the images, I would simply setup either a gallery widget or a carousel widget and then use the dynamic options in the relevant widget to pull in your images from the ACF gallery field. Then just style accordingly to make sure it looks good for a single image or multiple images.
How do ACF and JetEngine compare to the plugin "WP Ultimate CSV Importer"? It also offers custom fields, but you create them via a CSV from an excel spreadsheet. Is there a catch? compatible with Elementor Pro?
i'm having another issue -- everything you are doing makes total sense and i'm following along easy (thank you) BUT my CPT info doesn't pull in elementor. When i got to set up my single post I don't have an option to select it. It's not recognizing that i have set up other Custom Post types at all. I'm super stuck now.

I have used your Elementor pro affiliate link and any products I purchase in the future I will always check to see if you have a link for them maybe you should put a page on your website with all your links so people can quickly check. all the best.
Great to hear!
I am working on a new site for the channel and that does include a section for the resources I recommend. :0)
Very useful video Paul ! How can we make filters about those posts fields? Is there a way to do that?
David Sots there’s an updated version of this tutorial that was released recently on the channel that will show you how to add search and filtering to a real estate site.
Take a look at that and it will show you all the additional tools and steps to add that in.
@@WPTuts Thank you very much for your answer. I saw the video
Hi Paul. Excellent Video. Question if I can...
I have made a site full of custom post types, but now the client wants to categorise these. that is fine, but is there to make a custom "category" page. For example, using your version in this video...
Lets say each house had a sub category of Datached, Semi Detached, Terrace etc. And I wanted to create a category page that ONLY showed the categories (similar to how woocommerce shows sub categories)
How would i use all the plugins in your video to create that custom category template?
Love watching this.. But Fred was doing Archive Page not Loop.. What is the better? 🤔
Hi WPTuts :), my I Ask. On new Elementor 3.2.2 there is no single post type in 30:49 what should I choose ?
That's a really good portfolio gallery. Amazing tutorial, so much good info and detail. Thank you.
HI Paul,
Thanks for this tute and for all your other tuturials which are just great.

Good luck and don't forget to share the results. 👍😀

Great videos keep up the great work. Just bought Elementor Pro "Expert" package with your link
Awesome! Thank you Clive and thank you for the great feedback on the video. 👍
You're my hero Paul ! Though it's the end of my job as a webdeveloper. ;-)
One question though : why putting the Garage Yes/No as checkbox.

As the dynamic content grows in the channel, I'll be doing more complex types of projects that will certainly include more advanced scenarios. 👍😬😎
There is any caution or notion to escape from error like that
Cool video! Thank you! Just a quick question. How can you sort the query results by a custom field (i.e. by Price) ?
Excellent video, thanks for making great content. Is there a way to add a dynamic video filed, i.e. each post/listing will have a different video feeding from a Vimeo?
Great video thanks. My question is about using Repeater fields or any way to show the amenities of the flat as I check the different ones in the backend? For example, if I check "WiFi and electricity" under "Included in the price", those ones appear on the website. Thanks
@wptuts Love the video! Just wondering if there is a video on how to implement MLS or IDX with elementor for wordpress?
Very nice & detailed video. Great job!
Thanks John 👍
It helps me a lot. Love from Bangladesh.
Excellent video and just step-by-stepped it for 2 real estate sites. Do you know any way to pull in data from the MLS in USA to populate the fields in ACF? All of the IDX plugins format their own templates - not very pretty. thanks !
I'm afraid I've not tried pulling in data from external sources into ACF.
Hello, thank you for this video it really helps. However, I am facing a problem here, when I go to elementor to create a single post type my CPT UI (in your video was "property" it just not show) there's only page and 404... (Is in the 31:10 time of the video)
Do you have any idea about this kind of error?
Please if you could help I'll be glad... Thanks
Great video, what plug-in do you recommend to create a filter? (For sale, rent, city, price, etc.)
Paul, can you advise whether custom post types, acf & elementor can be used to create a leader board?
Perfect! Could you maybe tell what how I can sort my oblect by price?
@@WPTuts My bad - I don't know how I overlooked that! Thanx a bunch! We have been sucking on your channel much appreciated!

Very informative. Be interested in how to install idx for properties in USA and ADA complaint widget
Great video, thank you!
excellent content, thank u very much
If one of the content groups in the ACF plugin is of the Checkbox type, used to list different services offered by a business, how can I use Elementor to list those services, with each item having an icon? It can be displayed either vertically or horizontally, and it doesn't matter if the same icon is used for all services.
Thank you for your time and effort
Love watching your content. One question I have is, how can I set up pay per lead payment. For example when customer is interested in client services and client would like to receive customer details, they have to make payment. How can I set that up? I done so much research and couldn't find it. I thought I might need to play around with JavaScript or PHP. Can you advise please?

How do you add in a comma to a number (price)
Paul, this is so helpful and thorough. I am struggling with how to add a further feature: Downloadable files for each property (eg. floor plan, brochure, energy efficiency rating, etc). Adding one document would be easy, using ACF and say an Elementor Icon Box widget (file icon with heading). But how could I show 2 or more downloadables, effectively dynamically generating an Icon List ?
Why not use something like the repeater region in ACF and set that up with fields for icon, file and name?
@@WPTuts Yes, definitely ACF repeater region. But I can't get my head around how to setup repeating fields for icon, file and name in the Single template.
Simon Clay do a search on the channel as I’ve covered Repeater Regions a couple of times and they may help shed some light on how to use them. 👍

I've not tested it myself but it may solve that problem for you. 👍

I'm currently looking in to viable search tools for WordPress, so will hopefully have a follow up guide on how to filter your data soon. :0)

As ever Paul a great video. However, what does it look like on a tablet and mobile?
