Oh, thanks. I try and use more neutral cheek and eye colors when doing lipstick swatch videos. I'm wanting every lipstick to look at place on my face, so I normally do for lighter, more neutral looks. Thanks for watching today.
As many lipsticks as I try, I always seem to come back to certain brands and formulas. The Chanel Rouge Coco's fall into that category, and Mademoiselle is a perfect basic shade. That YSL is beautiful too -- that one might be one I have to try. Thanks for sharing.
It's been decades since I purchased a Chanel lipstick. I was in my mid 20s the last time I was buying Chanel makeup. Unmarried, no kids, and more money for fun stuff than I should've had. I liked them, but was disappointed. They were just ok. Now, 25 years later, these formulas are beautiful. I love the Rouge Coco formula, and might have to add another one to my collection. I LOVE YSL lipsticks. I do. I have so many of the recently discontinued Rouge Volupte Shine Oil in Sticks, I have lots of Candy Glaze and The Bolds. This reformulation of the Rouge Pur Couture is really nice. I like it a lot. I just wish they had different shades.
I haven't tried the Dior lip oils yet. I'm trying to slow down on my lip purchases because I have so much new stuff right now, but I'm a sucker for a lip oil. It was all I was wearing last summer. I'll have to put it on my list. Thanks so much for watching.
Good to see you back! Loving this series. Those reds are stunning on you. I keep picturing you with your hair up for a night out with that incredible lip. You would be a knock out!
Oh, thanks! I love a red lip so much. It gives vintage vibes and I love that. I reach for red so frequently, and try and use all the ones in my collection.
Nice group of lippies! I read a description of luxury makeup a while ago that I have adopted...it includes any brand that is a fashion or parfum house...rings true to me.
By that standard, not all super expensive makeup would be considered luxury. I'm thinking of newer brands like Natasha Denona, Pat McGrath, Lisa Eldridge and Charlotte Tilbury. For that reason, I decided to set a price point. Most of these are from older established luxe brands (Dior, Chanel, Guerlain, Gucci) but not all of them. Maybe makeup is different? Thanks so much for watching today.
I love the Hourglass component. Hopefully, they are coming out with new colors. I like CT as well. I love the Dior colors. Very pretty. You always look stunning in red. Glad to see you back. Hope you are doing well? Take care ❌️ ⭕️
thanks so much. I'm better rested than last week, and that always helps to mitigate my pain. I'm glad to be back filming because UA-cam is what I started doing over a decade ago to bring some bonus joy into my life. I'm really just here because I love makeup, especially lipstick. Thanks for watching today. These are some of my favorite lipsticks.
Love this series! I definitely gravitate towards shades like the YSL and Chanel that you showed - rosy nude? Not sure how to categorize them. So pretty! I know this series is less about specific color than formula but wow those are pretty!
Yes, I love rose toned nudes. My favorite one is a YSL Bold lipstick in the shade 1968. I think it's called Statement Nude. It's stunning, and I love the formula. If you're ever in a store that stocks YSL swatch it and at what your think. 😉
I recently picked up a Chanel rogue coco flash (which I think might be different from the rogue coco line?) in Live and found that I really liked it. I also felt it was very lip balmy and that it didn’t require a liner.
I was eyeing the Rouge Coco Flash line, but decided to try the original Rouge Coco line first. I really like the shade I have in Mademoiselle, and would love to try more. Thanks for watching today.
I adore the hourglass phantom and the charlotte kissing formulas. :) The slim packaging are my fav these days since with my aging lip lines, it really helps with application and I so so picky with how my lipsticks look
@@thelipstickgal The slim packaging is why I am leaning more on my hourglass phantom lippies rather than my YSL candy glazes. I hate when I love a formula so much on first impression then end up struggling with it 😂
Thank you for a great video! I love how thorough you are and that you analyze so many different aspects of the product. Could you please do a review of the new Westman Atelier?
I've decided to not pick up the new lippies from Westman Atelier. I was watching a video from a different creator, and noticed that throughout the video her lipstick kept getting drier and more patchy with talking. I checked the description to see what she was wearing, and I was disappointed to see it was the shade of red I was eyeing from WA. (pip) I think I'll skip the release for now and do a bit more research before spending $50.
I am finishing up K Romance by Charlotte Tilbury and I have Raspberry Radiance by Clé de Peau and they are both creamy. They're good lipsticks but I wish I'd seen your reviews before buying the Clé de Peau one because it was so expensive.
I'm sorry. I don't love the lipstick from CdP, but I don't think it's worth the now $70 price point. It was $65 when I purchased it in 2023, but it's not "amazing." At that price point, I need it to be amazing.
I splurged on the totally overpriced ESTEE LAUDER Re-Nutriv The Diamond Serum Lipstick, but have to say I love them. I wouldn’t replace my other favourites like the chantecaille or Lisa Eldridge but this new one is different from other formulas I have and am pleased that I really love it for the ridiculous price I paid 😅
I'm so glad that you like the lipstick since it cost so much. I was looking at those too, but EL hasn't been a lipstick staple in my collection for a long time. I'm ok skipping this super expensive lipstick. I'm glad you're enjoying it so much. Thanks for watching. Which Chantecaille lipstick is your favorite?
Yes it is my first ever Lauder one too, and gladly don’t have anything else like it (super thin but hydrating.. can’t describe). I love the lip chics, the latest one I bought was the starflower one from the sea turtle collection.. of course those are not long lasting at all but I just love them 😅
The last Lip Chic I had was in a shade I didn't like. I might need to try the formula again, but in a better shade for me. I'll remind myself that I don't "need" the new Estee Lauder Re-Nutrive lipstick. It has totally caught my eye though.
Someone said that the new surrat moisture lipsticks are similar to the chantecaille, but I usually find very nice shades for me in the chantecaille special editions (sometimes) that I love for the packaging too.. but everyone has different favourites 😊 but if I splurge than normally on those 😅
My makeup is sorted by colour, not by company, so had to check through all my areas but my favourite colour from the chantecaille lip chic is Ceylon, not sure if this is still available..
Charlotte T has my favorite scent!!!! So yummy (Mario is almost the same) I love love love all my Charlotte lipsticks I wish she had better shades for me …the shape is incredible it over lines my lips perfectly looks incredibly juicy and plump and it’s matte I was in awe 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
I really like both of Charlotte's bullet lipstick formulas. I find them both incredibly comfortable. I totally understand your concerns about her shade range. Most of them work for me, but I'm fortunate to have a neutral undertone and can wear almost any color. I really like the shape of the bullet, and appreciate the scent. Thanks for watching today.
🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍💄💄💄💄💄💄💄🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍💄💄💄💄💄 I’m really loving Bronx Baby Mario right now it’s even better with Natasha D 2.5 lip liner 💋💋💋 love mademoiselle on you!!! I want that shade lol
I haven't picked up any of the Mario lipsticks. There have been so many makeup releases that I can't keep up with everything. I have to choose, and sometimes I wonder if I made the wrong choice. Oh well, I'll keep reviewing things that catch my eye. Thanks for watching today.
This series is full of suspense 😂
Ooh, really? I hope you're enjoying it. I'm having fun making it. Thanks for watching today.
The makeup is awesome. It matches the full spectrum of colors.

I am more of a lipgloss kind of girl. Today, I purchased Dior lip oil in rosewood. Wowza, I love this color and formulation so much!

Loving this series. What are your undertones, if I may ask, because these deep reds just look so stunning on you! Most of the others too. :)
I'm very fortunate to have a neutral undertone. I can wear almost any shade. Some I prefer over others, but most shades of lipstick look good on me.

Sorry to be crude but I just don't understand these high end cases that look like glittery tampons...
