I'm so jealous! I'm 46 and grew up watching The Love Boat, then rediscovered the reruns about a decade ago. It's one of my favorite shows and I hope I can go on one of these cruises one day!
What a lovely video, thank you for sharing your trip and your experience on board was great 👍! I still watch The Love Boat show on METV, so glad to happen upon your channel! Thank you ❤🚢!
Greetings from Kangaroo-land, Sandy. I still get a kick out of "The Love Boat" reruns. Way back in 1977, I was on one of my many road trips throughout the USA and my buddy and I ended up on a smaller ship (flying the Panamanian flag but with an all-British crew) cruising down the west coast of Mexico from the Port of Los Angeles. I got word from the crew that the "Pacific Princess" was on our tail. I was very tempted to jump ship at Puerta Vallarta and wait... but I went back to the bar instead. So, a few years later I am on a plane flying back to Sydney from LAX and the original cast of The Love Boat (plus guest stars) were on the same flight to film the "Love Boat Down Under" episode. They were very nice as they wandered around the cabin, stretching their legs and saying "hello" to whoever was awake... and I remember being very impressed seeing Lloyd Bridges, who was not a young man at the time, doing deep knee bends and squats at the airport when we stopped off and took a break at Honolulu. Glad to hear you enjoyed your latter-day Love Boat cruise, Sandy, and it's good to see that the Aussie contingent (Air Supply) was there for your dining and dancing pleasure. I should go on one of those cruises... if only to dance the "funky chicken". Cheers, ~Jack
What a great story! Thanks for sharing. If you are interested, there will be another Love Boat Cruise on the Regal Princess on November 15th. Sorry, no funky chicken.
