I'm sold! I was going through my head if i should just buy an actual super 8 camera but looking at costs and all the other stuff it makes more sense to get this pack. I really appreciate you guys taking the time and effort in creating this because this will help me with my creative ideas. I have a super 8 film pack already but its definitely not as advance as this one and I love that you guys showed how it all works and the cool in camera tips at the end too. Thank you!
I follow your work since 3 years now. I can only thank you for all the videos and content you make. You and Blase Pivovar are the reason I have so much fun working with fuji. A huge thank you for everything. Don't stop creating content no matter what.

This is awesome! I recently bought the pack and love it! I had a question about the workflow though! I know Evan had mentioned using a fresh project, applying the powergrades, then exporting those clips. But is there a way to just simply the import the powergrade drx. files into a current project and apply them? I find that when I import them into a current project, applying the grade just makes the clip black and doesn't do anything. I actually had left them has a powergrade folder from a previous project and they still wouldn't work in the new project, even though they were technically in the project before I even started editing... This would be immensely helpful for my workflow as I'm not always sure what clips I want to apply the super 8 until I'm far along and deep into an edit and color grading process. This would be extremely helpful. I feel like I've done it before but forgot how I did it, it seems to be buggy at times. I'd appreciate any insight on this! Thanks!
Hey I'm really sorry I haven't had a chance to respond to this yet, family funeral recently and haven't been up on youtube comments, would you shoot me an email?!
@lukeorionphoto hey Luke this is just a simple install problem is all. As long as everything is installed correctly and instructions are followed there should be no issues!
Any tips on the best types of videography to pair with this to give the best Super 8 feel? Like is shooting at lower vs. higher aperture better? EDIT: Just saw you literally explain this at 34:30
hey! i'm following the tutorial, everything goes smoothly until the powergrade import step.. for some reason Davinci is not able to "import stills" any idea why?
I bought this product. I've been testing it in several videos, but I would like to remove the movement effect it has. That is, that little shake that the videos have when the effect is applied. Do you know which node I have to touch to deactivate it?
hey thanks a lot!! sorry for the delay. You can somewhat easily dive into the "locked" nodes in the color tab and find the "camera shake" effect. If you need detailed help emailing is the fastest way for support!
Hey, i just bought your fake super 8 film lab power grades, but i ended up cannot use it. My footage turns black everytime i apply the power grades. Can you help me to figure it out?
that's just an installation issue:) if you be sure to follow every step of our instructions this will not happen, I promise! Anytime this happens that is always 100% the solution:)
I would follow the same tips as any other time you need a bit of extra help with speeding up davinci! Something like this: ua-cam.com/video/wwkdiXFXksw/v-deo.html. I would search youtube for "make davinci resolve faster"
can u pls help me i followed altrough and i get the black screen when i apply it is this happening cause i didnt select the 18 frames cause u really want my footage to keep 29 fps
there's a couple ways to do that if you wanted. you can disable the matte but keep the grain+grade or you could export it with the matte and then re-import and crop then rexport. I'm sure there are other ideas too.

Should all videos have this super 8 effect be exported at 18fps? or can I export it at 24fps?

Hello! You did not install correctly:) be careful in the steps for mattes and grain.
@@johnstamw i followed the steps and imported them in the bin folder called mattes and grain
@nik8542 make sure to “add to media as matte” that is the common mistake
@@johnstamw but i dont have the option for that when i right click
can i remove the sprocket holes ?
