Mcu earning money isn’t DUE to its use of cgi (which was infamously underdeveloped) but to other things. Snyder is using the same mistake he did with “Suckerpunch” in that Moon doesn’t have a large following but has very unrealistic levels of cgi. And sucker punch did horribly in theaters. ALL of the comments in her hyping this up is from people who have an underwhelming education and are on ADHD medication. This story, while it has potential, is a D+ story with so many contrived points and plot holes, with a plank of wood quest reward characters. No real character arc, a huge hypocritical plot. 90% of this had no reason to happen. Did they free a captured general to get captured again? Even tho they got out, rebel guy cuts thru a group of soldiers, i mean a Battalion, that just for whatever reason DON'T turn sideways. To die taking out a single gunner on a ship that happened to have the controls...HUGE ship, little cockpit. The screen presence of the main character. Makes me feel like i got a real shot at acting, have never done little more than a school play 38+ years ago. Its a movie for people who hate all that story getting in the way for sure. Its like star wars alright, the last 3 movies for sure.

I’m glad Snyder getting more love on Netflix. He seems like a chill guy outside of being a good at what he does, I’m still mad about DC just leaving him out to dry and making him a scapegoat for all the hate their movies we’re getting.
You know when Netflix makes a decision it is a bad decision cause this one is, DC was smart in getting rid of him he was the reason why their movies were bad
The hate was pretty warranted - he made 2 incredibly divisive movies - no studio wants a dude who needs 8 hours of footage to get “the true vision” while simultaneously getting the characters wrong
Can’t wait to see this. I wished Mr. Snyder would tackle a Masters of the Universe film. I think he could do great in that magical/technological universe.
He would be very interesting but people would complain that it's too dark, too violent, too edgy, not lighthearted and funny enough etc.... The thing is most people see Justice League, Superman, He-Man, G.I Joe etc...like IP's that must target kids and be family oriented at first. I must say that while I prefer by far Zack Snyder's vision about the DC Universe, I also understand why some people disliked it 🤷🏾♂️.
As someone who loves both fantasy and science fiction, I have to say that this honestly looks FREAKING AWESOME!!! I can't wait to watch this extravaganza!
He helped write it, and he directed it. Which means that once again it'll be void of any sense of humour. The general movie tends to flock in droves more to things that aren't relentlessly dour

I am particularly interested to see how Snyder interprets the science fiction genre. He has a unique vision and style, and I am sure that he will create something truly unique.
I am also curious to see how Snyder develops the characters in Rebel Moon. He has a knack for creating characters that are both relatable and complex. I am sure that the characters in Rebel Moon will be just as memorable as the characters in his other films.
And, I am very excited for Rebel Moon. I think it has the potential to be one of the best science fiction films of the year.
Yes I’m ready
This looked awesome, and it's only Part 1 of 2. I can see why Zack Snyder said its a new universe.

Francis was a superb actor man!
This looks EPIC! A film made for the big screen! Netflix should give this film a theatrical run!
Some times ago Netflix had a movie they wanted in theaters. But if they do that, the law in some countries like in France would prevent them to have it on their platform before something like 1 or 2 years. So they decided to not put if in theatres to have it on their platform instead. Not talking about this movie but another one
@RG-ph1cn : “Rebel Moon” is Disney’s attempt at a space opera, after specifically destroying Star Wars. Please boycott. Pass it on.
The visuals look absolutely stunning. This trailer clearly is cut more as an action feature but the sheer size of this story and character development I know it will have will have this film being something really special ! The cast is also so likable and talented , Cinema incoming !
And this have much smaller budget than The Marvels, but looks 10x better.
The visuals look absolutely stunning on every Zak Snyder movie. His scripts suck hard tho.
Shut Up, This movie is gonna suck nuts, Zack Snyder is only worth a shite if he's doing DC Universe, Everything else he's does is for morons to enjoy
@@GoldeneBremmwell, he ain't the screenplayer for most of his movies.

@@ConstantineAlexanderSoelaiman But he wrote this. Look at the end of trailer. Story by Snyder, screenplay by Snyder and 2 others, and directed by Snyder. This is without a doubt his movie through and through. I know he gets criticized for scripts he didn't even write, like Man of Steel. But if Rebel Moon isn't good people can't blame it on someone else's writing this time.
You already know this is going to be a visual masterpiece. Snyder knows what hes doing.
I like how the first characters we meet are played by new faces most audiences haven't seen before. It helps set the world up.
No new faces here? WTF are you talking about? ❤Sofia Boutela's been in LOTS of movies, you ignorant fool! The others are extras, so, of course they haven't been seen before

How? Actors don't determine worldbuilding. That logic does not even begin to make sense.
I wish it was playing in my local theater.
I just wish this got a full theatrical release, would love to see this on the big screen.
*SPOILERS*
So a whole legendary battleship is destroyed by a singular man with a piece of metal. Good movie. 10/10. Everything makes sense, slow mo is just fabulous. And let's not forget the most unexpected plot-twists - soldiers trying to rape a "servant" and secret "hero" in hiding kills all of them, betrayal of a bounty hunter,... etc. NEVER SEEN BEFORE.
How tf is this not getting a mega blockbuster theatrical release?! This movie deserves to be seen on the biggest screens!!
It'll be released in theaters in select cities
It looks really niche. The over abundance of cgi doesn’t sell well these days either.
@@VonJay Are you joking? Despite its lack of quality, MCU is top of t he game in revenues still.
@@marken816 the mcu actually has decades upon decades of following. It also had one of the most bankable concepts in storytelling history in a caper about the infinity stones. No studio is going to risk funding this or put this on a wide release outside of streaming. Lord of the rings for instance has a humongous following, and used practical effects, miniatures and cgi like icing on the cake. The characters actually look like they’re in those environments and the non human characters were mostly in costumes with prosthetics and makeup. This is important because it aids in the suspension of disbelief.
@@marken816MCU just opened a 270 million movie with under 50 million. That's less than half of what Five nights at Freddie's opened with, and that movie only cost 20 million. It’s nice to finally see a fresh Sci-fi space opera!!! Super excited about this!
Remember how George Lucas originally wanted to do a Flash Gordon film but couldn’t secure the rights? Inspired him to create something of his own…Star Wars!! Now Zach is denied the chance to work on Star Wars and what does he do…he creates his own space opera!! That’s poetic Justice!!
We need more creators out there who rather than milking a dying franchise are willing to craft something of their own. Something inspired by the Franchise but with a unique spin! Instead of just complaining about the problem of an established franchise it’s nice to see someone offering an alternative!!
I’m glad Snyder getting more love on Netflix. He seems like a chill guy outside of being a good at what he does, I’m still mad about DC just leaving him out to dry and making him a scapegoat for all the hate their movies we’re getting.
He is a pretentious hack, who almost destroyed DC.
Agreed but just have faith it will return in some capacity.
You know when Netflix makes a decision it is a bad decision cause this one is, DC was smart in getting rid of him he was the reason why their movies were bad

A long time ago in a Snyderverse far far away... REBEL DUNE!
Combination of horrible boring movies, great.
