We started in the GTA, graduated and then moved to Edmonton where we lived for several years. We bought a house before even before becoming permanent residents. We decided to move back to Ontario in 2016. We sold the house and everything. Moved to London Ontario and haven't been happier. We own a house in Ontario so not everywhere in Ontario is super expensive. Having a house is only one aspect of living in Alberta but taking into consideration other aspects, Alberta wasn't for us especially with kids. At the end, it boils down to what is most important to you that will make you happy in any region compared to another.

I travel for work as a travel nurse. Am two hours away from grand prairie. I love it out here working and being at peace. Never look back at Ontario. Canada yours to discover. I smile every time i see our people in these small towns You have to get out of your comfort zoon and explore. Just proud of her and anyone who take the leap.

I currently live in Toronto and have just accepted a job in Grande Prairie. I will be moving there in July and have found this page very helpful in making my decision. I was born in Jamaica but have lived in Canada almost all my life but it was reassuring to see Jamaicans loving the city and it help finalize the acceptance of the job. Hope to run into in town and pick your brains at some point.

Hey Demz, this was an interesting video. Its indeed good to get varying perspective about life in Canada, big city vs small city etc. More & more I feel like Grande Prairie has a vibe & its definitely worth living there to establish a good foundation. Love your content as always, nuff respect to you & the family.

We moved from Vancouver BC a couple years ago now. Noticed a lot of growth and movement here. One problem with GP is it relies heavily on the property taxation to fund everything which makes housing costs rise including rents. Our property tax cost is 3x more than it was in BC and no home owner grant here. Utilities costs are also a lot more.

I lived in Edmonton for almost 11 yrs while it has its perks, I never considered it home, maybe GP is different. Moved back to Ontario in 2019 and have no regrets. It was the best choice for me and my household but to each his own.

@@DiAndersonsHey Demz, keeping up with your vlogs. I like the perspective. I once lived in a very small town in Ontario for 12 years, population 3000., then I moved to Markham a city outside Toronto. Population 340 thousand. I am in the GTA, but don't tell me I am in Toronto. Different identity, I live in York Region. Your guest was living in Halton Region. However for her to keep saying Ont, Ont and equating it with GP is a bit off. Oakville is over 200 thousand, next door is Burlington close to 200. I think though, you have to go get your footing in a small town then do what you want to do next. Especially professional, because jobs are always available for us.

I currently live in Toronto, I lived in Edmonton over 5 years ago and to be honest I'm moving back to Edmonton. I just found more balance in my life. Toronto is nice but it's very costly and crowded. I am considering relocatiing back to Edmonton for a few rewsons. 1) the Healthcare is better, 2) Houses are cheaper and you get more for your money, 3) My daughter was more happy in school
