Lots of reels are different and most times it's ok as long as they are in the right position. I always try and put them back the way they came in to avoid any issues.

I rescently bought a Daiwa Exceler lt 2500 xh and they say somethig about an ATD(automatic tournament drag) drag sistem. It seems it use a special grease. I wonder if you know somethig about this drag sistem and what kind of grease should be used on those drags. Nice video. Good luck
Sonnyy sorry mate I never saw your comment. I service mine when the drag starts to get sticky. I don’t have to do it much now I’m using Quantum reels as they have great waterproof drags.
Ryan Moody Fishing yeah l find that the oil in Australian climate just dries up fast as the grease stays on the gears so l never put oil inside my reels
I clean all my reels in kero its nothing to be scared about great for doing your parts and bearings .

If you are unsure you can get reel grease from the tackle shop.

man rod no sure on that one mate. Best talk to the manufacturer.
I have used light sewing machine oil it works ok ,
but better to get some carbon fiber sheets and make your own washers .

Yes but most times the inside should be oiled so don't use too much.

Can I use the butter grease on my reel on the drag washers?
No Randy, it would break down too quick. Animal fats not ideal.
