The absolute professionalism!! Aislinn won’t let a single thing stray her from her filming schedule. This is the hardest working woman on UA-cam.
I try my hardest 😅🖤
I agree completely. A has always been so dedicated to her craft, channel and community 🤍🤍
Aw sheeet here we go again😂🖤🌈🖤🌈
GIRL. I no lie got a call offering me for a promotion at work right as your power came back on. So glad we could share that moment together even though you filmed this to upload a few days ago 🤣 living for the orange and pink moment!! Very cute in between while it fades some more. Love your vids! ❤
Congratulations 🎊 I hope it’s everything you want it to be 🥰🖤
I'm so confused about why the person you followed would mix baking soda and vitamin c. Baking soda is an alkaline, vitamin c is an acid, so basically one neutralizes the other, just makes the vitamin c treatment weaker! The chemistry of it doesn't make any sense.
Thanks for this I did this on my hair extensions and I was always so confused why it didn't do so good 😂
Idk 🤷🏼♀️ I just thought I would give it a try🤣
Is it the reaction of the two - the foaming up - that act on the hair shaft, opening it up to allow the colour molecules drop out?
@@ByHerHand In the presence of water (ie, present in the shampoos/soaps) citric acid and sodium bicarbonate (aka baking soda) react to form sodium citrate, water, and carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide is causing bubbles in the shampoo, yielding foam. Also it is an endothermic reaction, which is why it was cold, not hot. Basically, it does just about nothing, anything coming out of the hair is probably a result of the shampoo and water.
I just came to the comments to say this!
My palettes supposed to come today! I’m so excited for it , it’s the perfect color scheme 🥹🖤 I can’t wait to go home and play with it! I hope you come out with more stuff in the near future
Yay! 🥰🌈🖤
Love how Luna is just vibing in the Monster box 💜
She loves it 🥹🖤
Omg, totally missed that! I was crocheting. For people that missed it as well, from around 12:49 you can see her chill.
Acidic vitamin c with alkaline baking soda🤔 one of those what's the point mixtures would help if you didn't want it to be too acidic but usually that's the part that helps with the removal
Also hair is naturally acidic, so alkaline products are really damaging
You should film in your living room more, it’s so aesthetic 😌🖤
Your hair right now is giving strawberry lemonade vibes!!! You rock fade outs just as well as color. ❤❤❤
I can't wait for your palette to arrive! It looks so beautiful 😍 🌈 I ordered on launch day, and it's already shipped!
now that you shared with us how your living space looks like, it feels even more like hanging out with a friend doing their thing when I watch your video. much love from Germany
I'm so glad the power came back on! Really pleased for you ❤ Glad you'll be able to do what you planned. Even if you hadn't been able to pre-record any content, we'd have understood ❤
Totally off topic but my pallet is here!!!!! Can't freaking wait to play with the colors💚💚💚
You are the epitome of professionalism and integrity.
Thanks for posting even though you’re going through a tough time without power etc . Absolute legend you are x ❤
My palette arrived today!!! Loved capturing the power coming back on.
I love your kitchen. I couldn’t stop looking at it. I love how it’s a step up kitchen 😩🥰
Was about to say you should have water but it won't be hot if you have an electric water heater but 💥 your power came back on 👏👏👏
I don't recall you mentioning any of this during the 4 hour live but maybe I spaced out a little 😂
Can't wait for my palette to arrive 🌈💞🌈💞🌈💞🌈
Yea I didn’t mention any of it 😅 I try not to repeat things 🖤🖤
I was literally cheering and elated for you when I heard the hum of the power come back on! 🖤🌈
Malibu quick fix is great for for fading and removing pastel tones!
I have a recommendation!!!! The scott cornwall decolour for permanent hair colour!!!! I've used it on my semi permanent red hair ( one of the dyes being GDY) and permanent auburn box dye and it does SUCH A GOOD JOB!!!! Espscially on warm tones. But it smells like absolute shit so just an idea 😂 I luv ur cats sm their so cuteeeee 😢 ❤ 😅
At 12:56 you scoot to the side a bit, revealing the kitty fitting barely in that box. I love it when cats do that!!! so cute! Brought a smile to my face so I just had to say that
My makeup palette showed up and I am super excited to try the colors this weekend!!! I can’t wait!!!
Yay!! 🥰🌈🖤
I am so excited for your palettes can't wait I'm a little behind on your videos I've been MIA for a while but so glad I'm back got to try this hair method too
wake up babe new aka aislinn video just dropped
the baking soda method kills my hair! i had very long hair and wanted to get purple out of it…. and then i went to the hair stylist and let them cut my hair completly off because it was soooooo dry 😅
Your house looks gorgeous, I love your videos because they make me feel less lonely when I get ready for work :)
Maybe blue shampoo could help fade the warm toned side and using contrasting pastel color to neutralize the colors that are most prominent.. possibly some more vitamin c treatments and deep conditioning treatments afterward.. if that all fails I’d do a bleach wash just on the root areas where the color is still the most vibrant. I’m no expert but a lot of these things you’ve taught me and have worked to remove every color I’ve done
i miss your tattoo vlogs so much!! but love your content
I’m excited for this!!! I really am fighting the urge to go blonde lately
So excited my pallet is coming tomorrow! The consistency of that baking soda/ vitamin c remover is seriously awesome. My hair is super dry though so prob not a good idea but man i want to do it just to play with the foam. Lol
Me sat here loving this video... My brains intrusive thoughts remembering the foundation mark on the couch 😂🙈
Baking soda is great at removing oils and dirt from hair. Many people with dandruff will add it to shampoo to better clean the hair and scalp. Conditioner really helps alleviate the dryness.
Sucks so much when power goes out. A few years back we had pretty bad wind storm so pg&e preemptively shut off power to avoid fires we legit had no power for about 6 days through pretty much 90 percent of California so I feel your pain girl.
Congratulations on the palette!! 🎉
Got my Aislinn Pallette today!! Love ya Gurl!!🩷🧡💛💚💙💜🖤
I love the peachy color.
Color zap then immediately put baking soda and dandruff shampoo immediately into your still damp hair. It straight up pulled out a year worth of iroiro neon pink staining!!
This was my confirmation I need to impulsively start fading my Pravana purple and silver hair 😂
Every time I see that step down from the kitchen (especially after your last video!) all I can think about is tripping off it and face planting😅 Also, I would think that the baking soda would just neutralize the vitamin C, since it's basic and the vitamin C is acidic, which just seems to defeat the purpose of the whole thing, right? Plus baking soda is SO drying, I've never really understood why people try to use it as a color remover
try using a permanent clear color with 20 vol, because of the ammonia it opens up the cuticle but doesnt color the hair because its clear, i saw it a few times and every time it removed tle color super nice.. dont know if you tried this technique, give it a try 😊
Yes! I’ve used that several times before. I’m gonna try that next 🩷🖤
Actually... the colour you wound up with is very ethereal and glowy!! When you want to fade it, just do a 5 or 10 minute bleach bath. My hair is pretty much the same condition as yours, and a quick bleach bath has never done enough damage to my hair to worry about
I buy lush bath bombs…. I let half go in the bath and then let the rest fizz out on my hair and rub lightly and chill in the bath. It really does work in the same way xx
Can't look at that step in the background without getting flashbacks from your fall 😂😭
Got the exact same thing with my roots staying super vibrant and the rest already faded🥲😂
The peach and pink at the end is kind of a look 👀
Love your hair! Missing the capes
I will say, I do think the rainbow root is super cute with the blonde
I use colorsilk hair dye to get the fun colors out. I get the ultra blond #05
Are you able to try color silk but in the blond you need to match your blonde you have.
I saw your colorsilk video and that you've used it before and loved it. So I figured id let ya know what I do and figured it's something you may consider to try.
Ps love your videos and your vibe!
I would HATE having something cold on my head to remove color. I am already cold enough as it is. But! I am glad it worked in the end!
I got my pallet today!!!! Now I'm gonna have some fun, and trying to improve my skills.
Love the faded pink. What brand is it? Also have you tried opposite colour wheel to get the colour out. Try a pale green on the pink x
Oh gosh those green roots! 😮
So happy I'm watching this early. So can't wait to buy the palette
Totally relatable w the transformer - we’ve had not one but two accidents were a transformer or an optic cable got damaged so we lost power/ Wi-Fi for the WHOLE day
Can you make a video doing every hair repair treatment, like k18 and Olaplex?
I'd love to see you try Katie's Direct Dye Fading method! I first saw it on the HairCrazy forum, which unfortunately is gone now but it is saved on the web archive. I think you'd probably have all the ingredients on hand already (clarifying shampoo, bleach powder, olive oil, coconut oil). I'll put the link to the page in a reply to my comment. Personally I've had really good success getting green/blue out of my hair with this technique. So it'd be fun to see you try it out!
This is specifically for direct dye removal, was developed by a hair dresser, and I didn't find it to be drying (though results may vary!). Anyways thanks for the videos :)
I'm so ready for a new vid baby! 🥳
i used to use baking soda in my hair all the time, it made it suuper dry & brittle bc the ph is so thrown off from the baking soda try an apple cider vinegar treatment to neutralize your hair ph !! it saved mine & instantly made it feel back to normal if not better than before. HIGHLY recommend 💜💜
looks so cute tbh 😇
I got my pallet today omg girl its gorgeous i love it and cant wait to play with it 🩷
Yay!! That’s so exciting 🥰🌈🖤
Yeah not having power is super stressful especially when all of the appliances are electric. You'd have some hot water for a while, but if your water heater is electric, it won't be maintaining the heat. I have well water, so our well pump stops working when the power is out...😵💫The fact that they were working on the transformer seemed promising. I know my power company has an outage map that you can look at online with estimates. I'm glad it all worked out!
That's why I don't support all electric especially electric ovens. Atleast if you have a gas stove you can warm up your house and cook your food.
Anytime I have done that on my hair. I’ve used dawn dish soap, head shoulders shampoo and, baking soda. I’ve never tried adding vitamin c too it.
thank you for doing this! i always wanted to know how she removed her color.
I know an amazing color removing trick but it only works for the ends and mids of your hair ( you might need it in the future so here it is) you boil some water first you put in that water baking powder ( for 200 ml of water I did 3 table spoons of baking powder not soda) I used it on somr extensions, my ends when I had black ends and neon roots, I used it on my best friends hair ( she had blonde hair dyed it black with box dye) it litterly got her from black brown to medium blonde almost back to the before ( try it on a test strand before your whole hair because I haven't used it on very damaged hair but my hair didnt change at all after it) but recently my fav hair color removing trick has been doing 1 shampoo cap for 2 hours heat and then following it up with 3 vitamin c treatments I've been changing my hair every 1-2 weeks from this trick I would do it 1 or 2 times depends on color
Lol i actually like this setup. It gives me vintage UA-cam vibes 😂
Got my pallette today! Love it! 🖤🌈🖤🌈🖤🌈
Awe yay!! 🌈🖤
You are the most funniest chillest person to be around you are a goddess Queen is black a favorite color or you have more favorite colors
Not sure the outcome yet as I have only got to the point where you mentioned baking soda and my heart dropped. Praying for your hair! I will personally never use baking soda on my hair again. It felt so fried after
Eta: Congratulations on getting your power back! And sorry about your hair. Hopefully the hair mask works to re hydrate 💜
Baking soda is very bad for your hair because it's alkaline and our hair craves things more towards the acidic side.
Yup 😭
Have you tried Redken Hair Cleansing Cream Shampoo? I got the small trial size and it works really good at getting well water out of my hair and fades my color pretty fast. Also, my husband made me a food grade mineral oil and food grade beeswax blend and it makes my hair feel amazing when it’s too dry.
You are so beautiful ❤️ I love your videos. Do you think color oops will tone down a burgundy/red permanent dye to a point where I can do a brighter copper tone on my hair? I'm lost in my current hair journey lol.
Yes! It should work well for that 🖤🖤
@AkaAislinn thank you so much! I just wanted some reassurance as I've never used color oops before. ❤
We've lost power soooo much this year in southern oklahoma!
Hey Aislinn! Good to see your pretty face! 😍 how are you from the tumble you had?
I’m fine! The next day I was sore but other than that all good! 🥰🥰
@@AkaAislinn I'm so glad!
The yellow it oxidizes to is the color in the dish soap 🧼✨🖤
Not me watching this and then my pallet just showed up!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m still laughing at your face imprint on the sofa 😂 sorry! ❤
Same 🤣
Your face in the thumbnail: *chef’s kiss*
Get some Olaplex and a bond building clay lightener and go hard with ten volume!!!!!
Try some Malibu CPR to remove the color? Love you ❤
It’s so expensive 😭 vitamin c is cheaper 🖤🖤
At least the end product is pretty! Looks like rainbow sherbet!
Hello. Have you ever thought of using the color wheel to get the color that you need or you feel like thats too many colors to get rid of later?
Colour B4 works great on direct dye. I miss pravana color corrector.
Me too! 🖤
I look forward to your videos so much
I was also stressed and coloring my hair at the same time as watching this so it was perfect 😂
I know it's not what you wanted, but you do look like a gorgeous sunrise. ❤
The citrus in the vitamin c reacts with the baking soda to make it foam
I just reqatched your pinwheel hair video. I guess the Ex girl from GDY stained your hair pink... Too bad, I really enjoyed their new formulas.
On a sidenote, do you know the channel of Abbey Yung? She does a lot of hair content, especially hair health. Since your hair is quite dry from this method, maybe you can look into her stuff, it helped me a lot with my hair health and also saving some coin! She has a few drugstore haircare videos. :)
Yh, ex girl stains so badly even with direct bleach it just don't fade that much 😂
@@urfavsh1teditor Well shit. I guess another pink to put on the list, right next to iroiro pink
@AnotherOpinion1997 yep except ex girl fades to an uglier colour. Iroiros a pain to remove but it's pretty much always a pretty colour ✨️ 💛
Baking soda is probably one of the worst things you can put on your hair . Probably even worse than doing a bleach bath or using Effacor. I use Effacor on my daughter and it as soon I get on its almost ready to wash out . I know you have used it too . I don't even bother using anything else its so fast so I figure its doing the least damage especially when I need it back to blonde quicky. I never had mych luck with vitamin C .
You’re so beautiful 😻
Thank you 🖤😭
Love your video's 🖤🌈
One day you and Guy Tang should collab, between the two of you your hair would outrageous!!!! 🔥😉
At least the pink is in the front like a money piece so if it still is there when you get your extensions I think it would look okay 😊
Have fun on your trip Aislinn! 🫶🏻💕💚 ✨
I’m bringing you guys with me 🥰🥰
@@AkaAislinnomg!! that’s the best idea! I had so much fun in your video of you going to Disneyland. ✨👽✨
Maybe when you bleach your roots next time you can drag it a bit more to help with the bright colors left
Yea, unfortunately I think that’s what I’m gonna have to do 😭🖤
The chameleon of hair colors💗🦄💚💛💙🤎💜
I may be late, but I'm so excited that you've started tatting your face. :) Love the change of scenery even though it wasn't voluntary.
I am on the blue hair train atm, i only bleached my roots for a year, the rest i tried to use color theory. But right now, my purple fainted to blue to teal...
If u use the vitamin c tablets that come in a tube that dissolve in water they expand like that
You are so freakin cute!! 🩷🩷
Im dying to achieve copper hair. Im a natural level 7 but I'm scared 😂 I used to dye my hair all the time but now idk if i have the mental capacity to keep up with color
It’s a lot of maintenance😅
@@AkaAislinn The prettiness is almost worth itttt lol
