I am a Muslim but trust me, i am investing my time and effort to understand things that i have not understood before by this man.And i have a great deal of respect for him
doesnt matter from what religion you represent, this mans wisdom comes in such a humble way every one can absorb it like sponge. He's very wise and if i could learn more from a Jew, why NOT!
Since very young I have learned about many religions and I was raised as a Christian. Rabbi Dr. Abraham thank you for your words they are helping me through some tough periods in my life.
Your words are truth....children are important to listen to...not just to be shoveled off....unheard...unseen..Children are closer to God and need guidance and empathy....if you don't see were your child emotions are ...how can you truly teach them to understand life??????.. Thank you elder for your words of wisdom...Peace be with you...😇🙏❤
You are completely right. I learn from you every time. I am white, but when I want to really understand black person, I put my self in his shoes. You can learn great deal this way. God make you 120 years old healthy and sound mind and peace of god be with you. Amen.
May God bless you . You are gifted person. I have never seen anyone to describe a subject with few sentences and say it so beautifully. I am muslim. I think you got this gift from your grand father I mean prophet Abraham. You are truly man of God. .

Room's in my lifer priests the psychiatrist the doctor. that note The Big book they caring enough about people thank you God 💜🙏🇺🇸
Steve Sunset for being empathic you would probably not have written such insensitive words... you think you're empathic but nothing more than a selfish child 👶
what? can't wait to see it, i've been searching my lifetime for people like us. I also have special powers, which my humbleness wouldn't allow me to answer in public.
Steve Sunset I'm also an Empath, you can learn skills on how to not let others drain your energy, if you learn how to work with it, than it becomes a gift.
Rabbi Abraham words on Empathy reflect true Christianity. Did Christ not wear our sins when was crucified. Then when he rose from the dead he dressed us in salvation.
Is he live? I live in Azerbaijan and we have Jewish community here, it is called "Girmizi Gasabah", which means "red town" and I live very close to that place. Maybe if he someday comes to this town, I really want to talk with him.
phillip k dick writes about empathy as the primary creed of a fictional religion , mercerism , empathy is a good byproduct of our evolutionary altruism as long it is placed in the right direction
I appreciate this video and your wisdom, Abraham. But I do have to ask about a problem I have been having, which unfortunately has to do with something the Jewish faith tends to feel is okay. I'm upset because I don't feel it was fair for me to be circumcised without my consent when I was an infant. My life and body were risked without my consent, not to mention my most intimate part permanently altered. However, no one seems to empathize with me. My own parents even kicked me out when I discussed how I feel about it with them. Do you empathize with me? Or would you rather side with your faith, which says I should just be grateful for what was done to me, even though it was a clear violation of my right to choose and to bodily integrity?
I have a message that I’m sharing where I can, some may not want to hear this, but I ask that we stay polite and seek truth together. 😊 ..... Love is an action. Feed the hungry, house the homeless, father the orphan, and protect the defenseless and vulnerable. Read the Word for yourself, not only relying on others for guidance. Pray for guidance.Yahushua/Yeshua - His Hebrew name who is usually called (Jesus) taught to keep the whole Word. Including the Law/Torah. Matthew 5:17 “Do not presume that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill. 18 For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not [g]the smallest letter or stroke of a letter shall pass from the Law, until all is accomplished! 19 Therefore, whoever nullifies one of the least of these commandments, and teaches [h]others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever [i]keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." Read 1 John. John tells us that sin is lawlessness, and that we must keep the commandments. Trust in the atonement of Yahushua/Yeshua who is usually called Jesus, and keep God (YHWH)'s whole Word/commandments. Revelation 12:17 So the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. Revelation 14:12 Here is the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus. Dear Rabbi, if I understood you correctly, then we can NEVER REALLY empathize with anyone (not even a great "Rebbe" can)! Since we aren't allowed to judge a person, until we stand in his place, we can't EVER judge anyone, because no-one will ever stand in someone else's place ever. This means though, that neither can we feel the other person exactly as he is at any moment in his live, because we NEVER stand in his place. So how is anyone supposed to empathize with anyone. (putting on someone's clothing - figuratively - won't help, as it's anyway impossible to do).
It's possible but I see what you're saying. I say it's possible because the person being empathized with has to be completely open and honest with their issues in order for 1 to then be able to "PUT THEMSELVES IN SOMEONE'S SHOES". Meanwhile, the person doing the empathizing has to be conscious of any physical expressions made and actively listen with an open mind simultaneously. Other than that, you'll just be wearing an incomplete outfit or shoes that dont fit which represents "Misunderstanding".

Man ur words are so deep and am a Muslim much love from Algeria
I could listen to his words of wisdom all day, every day. A genuinely humble and good man.
I think there is treasure here! After struggling through 67 years of condemnation and hellfire sermons , I have left that building.
im still scared of hell. if hell does not exist then saying it does is a kind of emotional abuse.
Hell is real, but if you're a child of G-d then you need not fear it.
@@adamatomic41 everyone must fear Gehennom as their punishment.
This is very hard to do. Most of the time we see things in life only through our own eyes.
Have so much respect for you Rabbi. Thank you.
I love this format of bite sized nuggets of wisdom. Take one of these “pills” right before bed. It should help. It does...thank you rabbi
Great respect for this man because of all of his stories and views
One man can make such a difference to the world. This man is a lesson to us all and I am grateful to have encountered his work.

For me, this is so easy.... And such a curse. An Empath, in this uncaring world.
u need to learn to care for urself first and foremost!!
Steve Sunset for being empathic you would probably not have written such insensitive words... you think you're empathic but nothing more than a selfish child 👶
Steve Sunset ure seriously not sounding very empathetic at this point lol

Religion has nothing to do with it ! Its wisdom, life lessons, nature and love.
I thought Dr. Twerski was NOT a Rabbi, but a most excellent teacher!
Rabbi and psychiatrist
Doesn't Rabbi mean teacher?
Good!
Thank you I watch all your videos
The only thing that comes to close to matching your everlasting wisdom is your ever growing beard, they both have their own beauty

@jmm1233 And this is the sticky part, what is the "right" direction.... Not always an easy decision.
This is part of human EQ (emotional intelligence)
Nice phrase. Definitely something not notable in your system.

He is way too smart for a clergyman
So if a young boy puts on his moms cloths he's empathizing with her ....ok got it .
