@@TheReaIThunder The V2 is _way_ easier than the V1 since it's less bandaged. Basically, you're probably attempting them in the right order.

Here's some info on the puppet cubes, because these cubes are absolutely wonderful and people need to know more about em.
1. It's a 3x3 shape mod. I know it sounds weird but it actually is!
2. The first puppet cube you unboxed is actually not that hard. (Spoilers for solving it, don't read if you want to figure it out completely on your own) You just need to try a lot of different algs before it finally works, and it's lots of trial and error to get it back to cube shape. After that you can easily solve cross and the corners are already done. Then you can solve the middle layer with commutators. Lastly you need to use MU algs for the ll and you're done. When doing ll all corners are already solved so MU algs are always possible.
3. The second puppet cube is harddddddddddd. I can't tell you exactly how hard because I haven't solved it yet...
They're 5 bucks each, so if anybody doesn't have them yet and wants a challenging puzzle, go for it!!

I believe the basketball's centers were filled in like that so those pieces would be symmetrical, otherwise you'd have to solve them at certain rotations.
Which gives credence to your point about the lines not being designed to be 100% where they originally were
If you didn't notice, the puppet cube is basically a shape mod of a 3x3 plus a few extra pieces.
One thing I love about J perm is that he gets straight to the point

I have both the Dayan 3x3 and the Moyu Meilong 3x3, and you're right, they both are pretty oddly similar.
