We living a confusing life,we constantly on edge. Dont know when it will go off. Stuff constantly on charge. Voting ANC. They have still work to do. Real policies for the people 💯
Hey Family, y'all look like good. I am so happy to see you both and I still haven't heard any shout out's to the North Carolina Family 🙂. Sending my warm regards to the family wish was there but I'm planning on coming sometime after winter. Take Care Fam ❤
Unfortunately elections wont change a thing in SA, for meaningfull change to happen we need our black leaders leaders to unite and change economic ownership patterns in SA in favour of Africans. Now our black leaders leading us into a divided struggle, others want open borders, lgbt rights, deporting illegal immigrants, equal rights etc whilst those are important but for us black people those are Secondary struggles. The primary struggle is Land and the economy!!! Thats what unites us.
The party elects their candidates before hand and present them to the public, when you vote for the party you already know who stand to be your President and Deputy/ Vice, and the make up of Government is of all the parties that gotten votes not sure of the minimum percentage to obtain one seat, however the one party in majority is the one that runs and makes appointments in terms of heads of portfolios/ministries. with that said each party that has a seat is responsible to advance the mandate/policies of its voters in the sense of pushing for policies that align with em, also each and every policy is put to vote in the parliament where every party can vote for or against, what's more interesting is that during votes every seat counts not that when you have the majority you will automatically get the decision, you can go beyond party lines with your vote as a Member of parliament. Coalition government works when there is no party that got 50.1% so they'll form a coalition just to meet the threshold but it has proven to not work given the state of Joburg Metro, Tshwane metro, Ekurhuleni Metro, these metros were bad under the ANC but the coalition brought them to the ground, the Joburg is looking better now because of the Provincial governance that is of the ANC. Tshwane was a coalition in 2016 made up of EFF & DA, they messed everything up, the DA got a chance to run alone they messed it up even further same thing they almost did with Joburg.
Cyril as the chairperson of his party the ANC will automatically be elected as president just like Malema and the DA dude. But the presidency is confirmed in parliament after nominations

So, we vote for a party. Then when Parliament opens, Parliament then elects the President. Obviously, the party with majority votes votes for their Party Leader as President of the country. I give the ANC 45% in these elections and I am good with that because they will no longer take decisions willy nilly. This time around, they will have to negotiate everything with the parties that they will be in coalition with.
Most likely it will be way lower than 45% if they don’t cheat. Remember that most of KZN and some IFP are voting MK, plus a lot in GP and some in all the provinces, but KZN alone will bring them down significantly. Opera News has been running a poll for a few days and CR is at 10%, Zuma 41%, Magashule 30, Zungula about 8%. No one likes Cyril.

Make sense. But it also slows you down. Instead of doing two properties a day you could do 3 or 4...make up the money spent on petrol and make a bigger profit

If a Party wants to rule they need a 2/3 majority.. Meaning they need over 60% of the vote.. If they don't get over 60% then they must try form a coalition that can make up 2/3 of the vote. This is the first Democratic election where that is a likelyhood.. ANC has been dominant in the past, however, for very obvious reasons it's things have changed in 2024.
