I grew up with a lot of music. A lot of my rock influence was from my dad, and a tiny bit of metal. I never knew nu-metal was a genre but so far all the songs in the playlist are sO good and I miss the 90s 2000s stuff. So much good shit.
Your dad was cool like I was haha. I taught my kids about Nu-Metal since they were ten and gave them a handful of songs that aren't trash. Like Nu-metal bands you never heard of and sounds like Korn, linking park, etc. My son's first impression was like wow, duuuuudeeee. That was sick. Show me more, dad. I knew at some point he thought I was outta cool. Or I didn't have it in me. LOL. Not to mention he thought I didn't know how to skate. Lmaoo. I may be old, but I did a lot son. Don't get me started. haha
