Sorry about the weird tremlolo effect during the intro on P=S
If you notice a few hints of instrumental here and there, they were left intentionally
Iowa kinda puts me to sleep without the instrumental track lol

You’ll never be able to convince me that this isn’t the heaviest album ever recorded. I don’t care about pig squeals, or any guttural death metal music. Iowa was as raw as it gets. His voice is fucking unreal.
well mate, do u heard about Pantera?...
Try to check their albums like Vulgar Display of Power, Far Beyond Driven or, especially - The Great Southern Trendkill.
And then listen to Iowa again .
p.s. c'mon, I kinda fan of knot too, but without Pantera there would be no knot.
@@SERYPHOTOUS I’m from the same city as Pantera. I’ve been listening to them for 30 years. Whether or not Slipknot would exist without Pantera is not in question. It is my opinion that Iowa is the heaviest album ever recorded. Pantera arguably do not have an album atmospherically heavier than Iowa.
@@SERYPHOTOUS bro please dont compare Pantera with IOWA album -_- .. you should compare pantera with pantera
it's okay bro I know they're different kinds of fish 😉
@@SERYPHOTOUS So why are you even comparing the two??? They're totally different from eachtother and not even in the same subgenre... You're trying to prove a point here but atleast try to make it somewhat logical instead of grabbing random bands out of the air. Besides Pantera's albums were definitely not heavier than Iowa ever was..
Iowa is a terrifying song. Hearing him literally cut himself and moan in pain, saying shit in between the words for the song. This is their darkest song, I don’t care what anyone says.
daddy - korn 😊
It sounds like as if you were damaging a boss and he screamed like corey
He did that song in two takes while he stripped naked. Plus he was drunk as hell when he recorded it. After he was done Clown looked him right in the eye and said “Taylor, what the fuck is wrong with you, man?” And they say Clown is the craziest member of the band.
@@SERYPHOTOUS"Their darkest song"
@@SERYPHOTOUSyou’re hilarious
Corey Taylor's IOWA voice was so damn good. So fucking good.
Only on the ears.
It was the best.
if you put (515) on loop for the Halloween trick or treaters, you weed out the weak and only reward the bravest of kids
me?
@@515hiato oh god, it's you
I did that one time
Yes, I tried making an actually SPOOKY spooky Halloween playlist, turns out it’s just (515)🤣
How is it possible?!.. The WHOLE album?!!..
AI separation via something like Demucs. Unlike pre 2020, most instrumentals/vocals only posted online are not official master tracks.
In my opinion, the vocal track on its own with this AI separation isn't worth it. The mix of bass, drums and vocals is usually worth it as anything else like guitar etc. in the "other" track is the most overpowering. Although I may be biased in that as I care the least about guitars 😅
they record everything separatly when they make the album, I thought
@@sweetnesscanwin589 It depends. I imagine a some band's early stuff (especially demos) were recorded as one singular recording and never existed as separate tracks. Thankfully Slipknot had Ross Robinson with a proper studio setup so (in theory) everything from self-titled onwards was recorded and existed as separate tracks. Wait and Bleed and Left Behind are two tracks which I can say with 100% confidence were recorded separately.
Self inflicted torture. That's the possibility
@@sweetnesscanwin589 I think just the instrumentals are recorded first then the vocals. All Hope Is Gone is done like you said, all separate. Back then I'm sure you know everything was on tape, but I'm sure there was some sort of stem recordings like nowadays. Idk nothing at all about recording on tape but ST/Iowa were, I'm sure computers were involved too.
41:53 - I always knew the metabolic scream was insane but hearing it by itself and how it fades out with the reverb / echo is nuts :D
My god, iowa... CLEAR iowa. I wanted it so long to hear....Where you can CLEARLY hear the vocals with all fucked up shit as well.
It's only like a 5-6 months ago I searched in YT for an Iowa's vocal track only but find a one with poor shit quality.
And just a month after you come out and release a FULL ALBUM vocals. It's quite amazing, man, thank you for what you did.
You can hear the amount of strain he puts on his voice to go through with the IOWA screams
Not only his voice made the whole album heavy. They lyrics played a huge part. The guitars were not only heavy by music sheets but they were heavy in meaning like you can feel the darkened depressing environment they came from. The drums were on point as they were telling you how dark our music is. The bass as well. 9 people who were in their most darkest days delivered to us what they were dealing with, how they were living their lives, how agony, hate, depression, anxiety.. etc was controlling them. Slipknot and Iowa were not only albums. They were the answer to who’s slipknot and what’s their background. More of, this [first two albums] is us. The pure definition of us
All thanks to Paul & Joey. Jim & Mick helped too but P&J came up with those riffs, especially Paul. Dude wrote killer riffs
Man Ross push them to the limits! When I hears iowa song...good Corey
Holy shit, Here I thought the intro to Gently wouldn't be as creepy, but I was wrong, just hearing the whispering, moaning and groaning from Corey really sets the creepy atmosphere, it kinda sucks that you barely even hear it (besides the whispering) but you could really hear it with just the vocals, Great job on the video man!
No kidding. What the hell was he doing? Was he cutting himself and throwing up then too or just during the final track?
They should've kept some of that and made it more audible.
@@sammitchell3657 From my knowledge, I believe it was only during the Iowa track. If you listen closely, his screaming in the other songs, it sounds desperate by the end of each scream, that would mostly be his technique to sound like that
Just as a side note, most of the time during production little details like that are intentionally left in the back of the mix. You may not notice it, but your subconscious does.
@@sammitchell3657I know he cuts himself only in the last track but if you listen closely at 21:21 that scream at the end wasn’t like normal bro
When I first listened to this record when it came out I thought it was the darkest and scariest record I ever heard. But as time went by the initial shock wore off a bit. But hearing the isolated track of Corey scream and moan while cutting himself up during the title track Iowa brings back some of the fear of “what am I getting into?”
27:29 Lol I’m headbanging to this even without the instrumentals
51:24 my mom after i talk back to her
Corey sounds like a psychopath in Skin Ticket
That metabolic scream holy crap
His voice is so pure
I never realised how good the opening scream of New Abortion actually is
I`ve been waiting for years for something like this, especially 515, you are my hero, i fucking love you man
i still cant believe how well these tracks were isolated!!
14:47 shit. Corey's vocals 🤯
I used that scream for my video thank u lol
21:20 this too 👀
Well I don't need sleep meditation tapes anymore!
Painful,hideous,gruesome vocals
I love it
This is incredible. Great job!
This is so peaceful!! Thank you! 😎
That scream on Metabolic is legendary. It's hard to believe that came out of a human being.
21:11 SHEESH
Awesome video dude!!! Metabolic is by far his best vocal performance (IMO of course). It’s just pure rage and agony and you can hear it isolated especially. No vocal technique, just barking words at you. Chef’s kiss
I fr go to sleep with this thank you
18:23 wuau si que se siente la oscuridad el infierno que vivieron los miembros con este album , increible por eso es mi album favorito
Holy shit dude great work thank you for this
I wish we could get legit high quality from the master recording
maybe we'll get an exclusive death bed release
Thanks for this dude !
I like how you can sometimes hear corey throwing up more clearly.
Amazing. Well done.
48:09 crazy screams
Will you do the subliminal verses? Like this
yeah I'll get around to it soon
AWSOME
beast 🔥
My throat hurts just by listen skin ticket

Good Part
This album was real fresh
Bro this is fire🔥 🔥🔥🔥, btw can you upload one of me inside?, cause it isn’t included in s/t
it's in the video at 33:15, timestamps are in the description
@@viralhysteria no dude, I was talking about self titled, cause me inside isn’t included, also with get this
@@paparancia5667 read my comment again, dude. the song is exactly where it's supposed to be; on the self-titled upload, at 33:15. tracks are in the same exact order on the video as the album.

@@viralhysteria oohh, i already noticed, sorry dude, thanks.
Impressive
50:10 I’ve always wanted to know all of the screams in this part but even with the vocals isolated I can barely understand them lol. Only ones I can understand are “You f***er “F*** you” “MotherF***er” “Come here” “No wonder you were such a f***ing b***h” what I’m hearing could be wrong still but I’ve always wanted to know since most lyric videos and official lyrics avoid this part of the song probably because it’s so difficult to understand.
Can you try this with Korn's 1994 self-titled?
Would be interesting and quite disturbing to hear a song called "Daddy" with only J.D's voice crying in pain. It might be darker than Iowa's title.
you can listen to daddy here

wwwoaahhh... you already made it! thank you one more time ) but will you post in on YT?
@@SERYPHOTOUS no point in posting it to UA-cam if you can listen to it on whyp, just a waste of my time for no real added benfit. plus with whyp you can download it directly. if I felt like I needed to make a video, I wouldn't have done it at all.
49:24 bro his voice is unreal
can you release just 515's vocals?
28:32 gah dammmmmmm
Are you going to do Stone Sour albums as well?
not particularly a likely outcome atm. I've honestly never even heard any of them #fakecoreyfan
Well, the self-titled one has sick Iowa screams, so you should definitely check out at least that one.
@@viralhysteriacan you do GET INSIDE only? It’s the only heavy song by stone sour I know lol and the only song I know by them only because it shows Corey’s scream side the most in stone sour

And then people Think Deathcore vocalists are Brutal... Everyone sounds hard usingTechniques.. Do Raw Screaming like this and then call yourself Brutal. So sick of that Will Ramos/Dicky Allen/Alex Terrible Bullshit.
yeah I really can't stand the rumble grumble type vocals, sounds like they're drowning underwater lol
@@viralhysteria drowning underwater lol
Че?
I mean, alex and will screams are way more depth and "brutal" than coreys, but I prefer coreys more bc he is more melodic and you can understand what he is saying.
casual haters everywhere. Just enjoy the music for god sakes
Fun fact for those who don't know this is sid doing vocals on the 515 track he wanted to do his parts in the album cause his dad was very sick and before he could his dad passed away and he went into the booth and let all emotions out on the 515 track
not his dad. that was his grandpa.
Хахаха. Iowa это 15% всего альбома
Corey at his peak. No tricks or stupid vocal techniques; this is pure anger, fury and madness. Hail the true SLIPKNOT.
He was going all out during Heretic Anthem. Holy shit.
bro wdym, corey would've gone voiceless if he kept screaming this bad without technique, he used a lot of tricks and layers to make his voice sound more powerful in the production(not a bad thing at all tho). He is probably at his peak right now, not back then when he couldn't sing two of these songs live.
That's why he almost lost his voice
"Stupid vocal techniques." Longevity is important. He wouldn't be performing today if it weren't for learning technique.
@@dantelan-i-er5466 plus he sounds really REALLY brutal and good live with a heathy technique
