Some UA-camrs said this should be $25. I can confirm that I just got mine and it is a $75 toy.

Yep! This should be priced around $75-80, BUT Hasbro is a business and placed their bet the community would accept a $99 price point. Their gamble paid off and now the bar has been set for the Stinger, Vamp 2, etc.
Yeah it’s definitely worth the asking price. I’m not sure how people think it should or would cost less.

If the Python Patrol Tiger Sting or the Cobra Stinger shows up at Target. There are army building and or modification options. If they follow suit like the trouble bubble going to Target. Hopefully soon.

Great review! I just got my first one in today and wanted to open it with my boys and assemble it, etc before I watched any reviews. We love it and figured as much. It’s just the right size to not take up too much space, I wouldn’t want it to be much bigger. As great as the Vamp is, I think Clutch is an absolute home run. They did great on this set, imo. My only complaints are minor, my shotgun was bent/gummy but I think I’ve got it back to form and the 50 cal turret kinda bugs me a little because it seems to not keep the magazines in place all of the time, no big deal though.

Hasbro actually had the license from GM for the Humvee in the early ‘00’s. They made a 1/6 scale recon Humvee for Classic Collection Joes in late ‘03-early ‘04, a series of Humvees for the RAH line, and a 1/6 scale Hummer for Tonka that was sold in Sam’s Club during Christmas ‘04. I have 2 of the 1/6 scale Humvees, 2 of the RAH Humvees, and the Tonka Hummer. I don’t know if Hasbro kept the license after GM’s bankruptcy and reorganization. Also, I think the new GM divested itself of its ownership in AM General. I hope Hasbro can work something out with whoever owns the Humvee rights. Anyway, thanks for another great review and the comparisons. Now I definitely have to get that Humvee for my collection.
Just got mine today haven’t opened them yet. Ordered 2. Packed well and love the window view of clutch like old school Gi joes. Wish hasbro would atleast give some kinda coupons or something when u order directly from hasbro. Thier marketing team seems to really lack that kinda thing. BBTs always sends a postcard thingie for other toys

For the tire installation, you need to look at the tread pattern on the wheels and match them up with the blueprint instructions. The tread patterns are different and specified for one side of the vehicle.

To me this should not be a $100 price tag its more like a $65 but overall it’s a great piece to have in the collections

In Minot AFB we have remote turrets. Would be neat if they mounted them on vehicles.
We did not have such an animal when I served lol we had to let it all hang out lol … yes they are a thing now even some grenade launchers have remote control capabilities
I retired in 2018. I remember those things being installed around 2006 I think. Things were terrifying. I was a weapons maintenance airman at the time.

The tires are left/right not front/back. It’s in order to get the tread all facing the same way. If you get it wrong most won’t notice. But if you put them on wrong the only way to fix it is to peel the tires off, turn them around and put them back on. You can’t get the full wheel off the connector once it clicks in place.
I was able to take my wheels back of with no trouble.
@@PhantomDruid Okay good to know. The early reviews said once you put the wheels on they lock in. (Mine arrives tomorrow)
@@andrewtaylor940 I still don't think it makes a difference though. The wheels are all one design as far as I can tell lol. Let me know when you get yours.

It is an ON EBAY and Amazon … very pricey though but again I’ll be doing a review on it next week, since it is in a different class than the vamp highly detailed vehicle.

That ammo can issue really pisses me off. It feels like an after thought or somebody fogot that the ammo cans need to clip in somewhere. they would have been better off just molding the cans onto the stand somewhere for crying out loud. Also why such an adherence to the old toy in some areas? The one reason the old vamp is not as popular as the Awestriker is that you can load more then 2 figures on it. Its such a huge missed opportunity that there is no appropriately sized side steps with pegs or a rear bumper with footpegs and a grab bar so a figure could man the gun on the back if you want to. Comeone Hasbro where the thought towards play and display here?
For the price of the vehicle far too many people are giving the issues on this thing a pass! If it was 50 bucks without a fig sure I could forgive some things but this things is ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS! Heck they charged me over 50 dollars to ship it to Canada after duty on top of that. And don't even get me started on the gummy plastics used here. Again the curse of playdough weapons.
I’m ok with the ammo cans … sticky tack and good … you have some valid points, but I think the fact that it is a “FULL” sized vehicle and at “regular” sub $100 price point is the reason for the excitement.. in my opinion
