Brilliant! I am a chemist, what this is is the enemy of all chemists! Darn, but you guys are thinkers! Seriously....I'm a advanced chemists for many years and I NEVER thought of using what we usually is bad, and turning it into good IDEA. I personally wouldn't use rubber parts, over time I see that seriously impacting the taste of the coffee. Just my opinion!! Great work anyway

I'm giving you a down vote because the flask you're using isn't for boiling, and could likely explode in your face. Get a proper boiling flask. Also, what others have said about that LD plastic tube. Good idea, but bad application.
