You're the only channel I could find that opens it up. 👍
we have some in stock, call me up, 270-556-8427
I look forward to hearing these. Well... These as in the rp line. Great video per usual!
Go blue
Thanks for watching! Hope to do a few listening compares of old vs new gen in the near future. Stay tuned!

Can't wait to buy the new 8000's II
Excited to put them up against the 1st gens (coming soon). I know all the details on what's changed but i want to hear it!
-Jason
Great video. I just bought the RP-502C Gen2. I'm supper stoked and can't wait to hear how it sounds for both movies, music and gaming. It'll be replacing a rather old floor standing speaker that I had been using as my center.
Bit late on the reply. Did you get it yet? What are your thoughts?!?!
-Jason
Thanks for this video. It really taught me a lot about when I needed a repair on my bookshelves. Mine is coming to order soon
Thanks for watching! Happy to help!
-Jason
I'm already working with the Paducah team on getting my RP II speakers. Great to work with. Love the videos - let's get some A/B comparisons with the new and old RP line next, starting with maybe the 600M's?
Thanks for watching! Not sure where we will start with the compares but, for sure gotta dive into those soon. I still have a pair of gen 1 8ks unboxed and in studio...we may just go big outa the gates. We will see. :)
-Jason
@@TopShelfAudio - That would be awesome! I'm also very curious about the differences in dispersion and frequency response between the RP-504C version one and two. Definitely looking forward to some comparisons! 😉👍
I sold my khorn corners and now I am looking to buy these or 6oo.Rv living full timers.cheers
On the surface it looks like a cosmetic update but nice to see there are improvements under the hood.
Thanks for watching! For sure. The horn and Cabinet bracing are the huge ones this gen.
-Jason
Think I'm gonna go with the 500m II
Thanks for watching! Give PHT a call when you're ready to pull the trigger. They'd be happy to assist!
-Jason
You may not be aware, but the grills and the front of the cabinet tapering isn't new. Take a look at the Epic series. Love your videos. Can't wait for some more side by side comparisons.
Thanks for watching and for the info! You are correct, it isn't new but its a change cosmetically from previous gen. Personally feel like it improved upon the previous design but opinions may vary.
Side by sides coming soon! Stay tuned. :)
-Jason
LOVE KLIPSCH -- for several reasons - Trusted Affordable Performance, Klipsch Horn technology, AND Reliability. Are There B & W's and Sonus Fabers I'd Like to Have??? YOU BET -- But I also Want a New House.
I suggest you try an automotive trim removal tool on the speaker beauty ring. There is one with a curved tapered end that should work great!
Thanks for the tip! I will look into those.
-Jason
There are plastic automotive trim removal tools.
No crossover shot? I'm really interested to see if they've upgraded the crossover components in this generation.
Was mainly focused on seeing the new cabinet internals. Didn't think about it in this one. Ill try and get a shot when we get to the 8000s.
-Jason
to remove that ring i used some of that sticky putty poster hanging stuff works perfect and wont damage.
Thanks for the tip! I think on this new line somethings changed. The beauty rings were far more stubborn than they've been in the past. Took a bit of extra imho to pry.
-Jason
Quality
Thanks for watching!
-Jason
a thin automotive trim tool would work nice... for that outer ring. i'd hate to slip a screwdriver into the driver.
yeah that would suck
Nice review sir i will really like to see this compare to kef q150?
Maybe someday. Jason doesn't like doing videos on any speaker other than Klipsch so I would have to do it myself and let people make fun of my voice which isn't my favorite idea.
Tweeter ferrofluid system? Thanks
pretty sure the new mark 2's don't have ferrofluid anymore. they were so efficient that it was an unnecessary cost that apparently did more harm than good.
Have these been tested against the Polk R100? Trying to make a decision for my 5.1.2 setup.
I'm sure they have been, but unfortunately we haven't done this comparison on this channel and cant speak to it directly. I can say though, these do not at all disappoint. Was blown away listening to this new gen. :)
-Jason
Hello! How are you Master!? Do you think these speakers would sound good with a Denon pma600ne or Marantz pm6007 integrated amplifier in a 16 m2 living room? to watch movies, CDs and music via streaming? and finally? Will I need a subwoofer? Greetings from Argentina!
Please tell us about the sound quality. How does it sound especially bass performance.
Thanks for watching! Not going to lie or BS you so I can't say just yet. Theoretically based on all of the updates and talking directly with the Klipsch engineers, I am expecting a big improvement, but I haven't listened just yet. I am going to do demos here shortly with reviews but can't speak to it until I've actually heard them. :)
-Jason
@@TopShelfAudioPlease do upload soon.
Have you tried to use a credit card to get the trim off? I would also be tempted to put some masking tape over the areas on the speaker front where I try to pry the ring off. I will be doing this at some stage when Klipsch finally send me a new woofer for the RP8000f. Been waiting two months now and still no word of when it will arrive.
I haven't, no. We may give this a try as well. Love getting the new ideas from watchers. The masking tape is a great idea as well. Let us know how it goes when you get your replacements in (hopefully soon)!
-Jason
If I may make a suggestion... There are plenty of videos where you're listening to various speakers and give great opinions, but it might be good to know where you would want to use speaker X vs speaker Y. Sound quality, sizing, and so on.
Thanks for watching and for the suggestion. I think in the future we may do one or two room builds where we cover this. A lot of it is personal preference and taste, but hopefully we can dabble into it a bit.
-Jason
Is it good for side and rear surround?
So what you find the difference between older model rp 500m and rp 500m || new version. Is there any drastic difference in sound quality as well.pls reply..
Thanks for watching! I haven't had a chance to do a full review or even listen yet as, I took them apart as soon as they came out of the box and they are still in pieces. I anticipate with these changes, there will be a big difference in sound, as the speaker has been completely revoiced and restructured.
I plan put them back together, unbox the rest of the system, and give a full review on the new gen in its entirety here shortly. Make sure you are subscribed and stay tuned! Coming soon!
-Jason
Any chance you do a frequency response test? I wonder if it's as good as 600 II and how it will compete vs R100 from Polk from the dialog side, which one is worth buying if I care more about the dialog.
Thanks!
It is a possibility in the future, but mostly aiming for full on reviews and head to head compares with previous gens. I've personally never heard the R100s, but as for comparing, the 500 and 600 of gen 2, the 600MII will dig a bit deeper in the LF as well as have better sensitivity over the 500s. For dialog specific though, you can't go wrong either way.
-Jason
500m II measure slightly better than the bigger brother. That's why I am ordering a pair next week!😊
The way the tweeter attaches to the horn look super proprietary. Wont be good for replacement/fixing down the road
Thanks for watching! On many previous gens, Klipsch made it easy on the customer and any replacements shipped with the tweeter and horn assembled already. I can't speak to this line as, I haven't seen replacement components go out yet but, I would assume its the same this gen.
-Jason
So the new Klipsch line build this speakers with wood or mdf cabinet?
MDF. They've added a ton of bracing throughout but still MDF.
Was really hoping that you'd have taken the binding posts out to look at the crossover.
Was mainly focused on seeing the new cabinet internals. Didn't think about it in this one. Ill try and get a shot when we get to the 8000s.
-Jason
Heresy iv is the dream. Gift me a pair lol.
They are beasts! Tell you what, I'm a generous guy....I will gift you a pair, but first you have to gift me cash or a check for the retail value. Seems like a decently fair trade!
-Jason
that's great because the cabinet was terrible on the RP6000m. I sent it back. cabinet was real muddy sounding. I tried it in so many areas in my house, too. when I looked inside I noticed it was missing bracing as well as open cell foam could help their speakers.
Lot's of foam and completely restructured internally. I haven't done my listening yet because they are still in pieces but, I look forward to hearing the change as well.
-Jason
How do these compare to the R51Ms?
Overall going to be a pretty big step up. In addition to the generational gap, you are also moving from the reference to the reference premiere line upgrading materials across the board.
-Jason
Which I’m most excited for.. probably none really.. I was looking forward to “the beast” subwoofer they mentioned over 2 years ago now. Disappointed, I was really hoping for say an SPL-180 that’s be so sick.
That would be awesome. They've never officially parted from the rumor so...time will tell I suppose. I hope to see it come to fruition as well.
-Jason
I went with the SPL-150. The couch shakes when this thing fires hard. An SPL-180 would be just stupid in the room I have it in.
Are you guys located in Kentucky? I'm looking for a good audio store near my location in owensboro ky.
Yep! PHT is located in Paducah. Join the "Klipsch owners" Facebook group and shoot Cory Harrison a message. You guys can line up a time to check out the showroom. I believe he's got his HiFi bed and breakfast up and running now too so, you can even spend the night with some amazing gear as well if you'd like.
-Jason
@@TopShelfAudio wow that's awesome ok
You guys sure they removed ferrofluid? The video you referenced in your video states nothing about removing ferrofluid or improving on previous tweeter design. It's still the same LTS tweeter only with a larger horn for dispersion characteristics.
ua-cam.com/video/-pU00GaSWJw/v-deo.htmlsi=zmBpLWKularUQHRU
Link is for the Klipsch official video where they assemble the tweeter (that you have reversed as a disassembly) and the ripple effect was not a removal of ferrofluid
Klipsch told us directly that the new ones don't have ferrofluid. If that changed then we apologize profusely.
Show us the crossover please !
Was mainly focused on seeing the new cabinet internals. Didn't think about it in this one. Ill try and get a shot when we get to the 8000s.
-Jason
where’s the Cheesy crossover?

@@TopShelfAudio I do own a pair of these little gems...
I own the RP-600Ms…..very happy with them. I use EQ to make them sing. No need to upgrade anything. Sound as good as my PMC at 3 x price.
