- I ordered this new Anakin Skywalker Clone Wars Mythos from Sideshow Collectibles and today it arrived, so here's the unboxing and review.
Overall a nice piece, just wish Anakin's lightsaber looked better.
I hope the reason this is releasing now is because we're going to see flashbacks of Anakin Skywalker in Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney plus starring Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen. I think the timing is definitely convenient, but who knows!
A nice piece, and I look forward to unboxing more as my orders arrive over the next year.

The close up at 7:10, looks more like Kylo Ren’s face than it does Anakin’s.

Also love the expanded blade towards the hilt of the saber, but I feel like that only happens for a split second upon activation, not during continued use.
All said and done, beautiful statue.
This is pretty cool, their Vader statue looks amazing. Interesting timing on this video too - Hot Toys CW Anakin just came out overseas, hoping it'll ship out soon.

Oh damn this is cool really reminds of battlefront 2 as anakin literally has a clone wars skin with haydens face.
They put so much work and detail into these but they often drop the ball on the head/face sculpts which is arguably the most important part 🤷🏻♀️ the face here doesn’t look like Hayden or even clone wars Anakin to me personally. I wanna echo what others have said which is the face looks more like Adam driver
This looks amazing. My only issue is that he should have shorter hair. Same in the TCW skin for Battlefront. Through out the show his hair got longer, with this outfit having the shortest. Aside from that continuity error, this is amazing.

whenever they make a live action clone wars statue/figure with Haydens head, they always give him the Ep 3 hair instead of the shorter cut he would have had at that time.

They can add super strong details on the droids and Anakin's clothes but they can't get his face right? Even his solemn expression looks off.

Hi theory I subed back before the fan film I've had a lot of drama since I went into secondary school I thought going in that I wouldn't get picked on and it'd be like primary but it wasn't I was beaten up by an intire class for liking star wars then I moved and near got beaten again its bean awhile since I got beat up or annoyed but since its May the 4th and I haven't been bullied for a while I'd like to start watching star wars again so I resubed and I'm back edit: also what did I miss from November 2020

Great piece, I don’t what it is though, but sideshow never seem to nail the head sculpt, both heads just look off not quite right, otherwise really cool

6:26 Since Maul is in the background, it almost looks like he is the one responsible for decapitating Anakin, especially with his lightsaber ignited and the pose he is taking. Also, the little “ahh” sound effect is so funny to me.

Damn it looks amazing my only gripe is the nose sculpt isn’t accurate in my humble opinion :( definitely recommend getting into the hot toys collectibles would love to see what your faves would be , may the force be with you brother
100% right with the nose being being inaccurate. The sith lord Anakin head sculpt we see at 10:45 is perfect.
I agree with this! This company does some amazing work but their faces (which are obviously the hardest part to get right) are only spot on about 50% of the time, this one looks like someone else cosplaying as Anakin to me. It’s still beautifully done, the work that goes into them especially the painting is fantastic but for me personally I want to see/have *their* faces

Unfortunately, Sideshow totally missed mark out on the detail of his face on both heads. Looks nothing like him. I've seen cheaper models with better detail and more realistic facial features.

Theory you should check out "Chris Custom Sabers" he can make a CCFL lightsaber for him that glows and looks like a REAL saber.

A friend of mine Who’s birthday is May 4 and his favourite Star Wars character is Darth Vader so for his birthday I gave him a Korbanth MPP 2.5 Darth Vader lightsaber in ESB configuration ESB being his favourite Star Wars movie and I’m looking at getting about 35 lightsabers for myself

Congrats on the statue. It looks great. Gotta be honest though, I don't see Anakin when you use either facial sculpts. I see a sandy blonde Kylo Ren. I can't believe Sideshow went with that face sculpt. Love the base though...like you commented earlier. Enjoy.

I think he put the droid head on the wrong body. It’s an officer’s yellow head.
