Hello Happy Peoples.... My Grandson is stationed at Eielson Air Force Base and lives in North Pole. The other day he texted me and said, you'll never guess who I met today. Thats right, you guessed it, THE SOMER'S FAMILY!!! His first name is Ian. He said he saw you walking past where he lives and wanted to meet you guys. We just returned from visiting our relatives in Willow. We love Alaska!! We are native Vermonters (and spiritual Alaskans) and definitely noticed the sun is "hotter" in Alaska. A few visits prior we figured it out. Due to your location on the globe, your UV sunlight is different that ours in the lower 48. Also, your humidity is typically lower than our weather. Thank you so much for continuing to post videos all these years, no matter what is going on in the world. For me, it is like getting to see my real home when I watch you wonderful people. Great Grandma wrapped in a blanket! Just talked to my 93 year old Dad. I made him promise to turn his air on to go at 85 degrees. Our temp today is 97 degrees. Supposed to be hotter tomorrow. He lives on his own, told him I would feel safer. Might have to go out there tomorrow! I’m from the the Midwest, our prices just go up daily, never had anxiety before but I do now! God Bless us all!

My oldest daughter turns 15 on Sunday. Its crazy. It has gone by so fast. But the memories I have are amazing and the future memories will be great as well. My wife and I were married and had kids young. We are 35 and 36. 3 kids. Love it all.

I was wondering how you guys talk to your kids about the state of the world and the possibilities ahead? I have 4 kids 6,9,11&13… I always try to keep things age appropriate but I hesitate with how much to share but then feel like I should be preparing them in some way. Something I’m praying about ♥️
Because of Alaska's long winters you should build an earth ship rubber tire wood shed. You can build it huge for cheap. It will not rot. Bugs like termites will not eat it. It will not become water logged. It will be fungus resistant.

I'm in the middle. I refuse to live in fear or stressed, it's not worth it. Also, we always live below our means so when times like this happen, we are fine. It's ok to feel joy, be happy and live life. Don't ever stop.
And get off social media. I can't imagine how mentally draining it is. Real life is good, no matter what the negative, fear dominant media tells you.

My 2 cents....a good friend and landlord for 20 years made a great life for his family....in Alaska there is a rental shortage....build as many side by side town houses you can....and live off the rents....the military can t leave.....you will always have full units.
