Who sings them better?
Note:
During Syesha's "Chain of Fools" performance, she had been sick, making her voice hoarse and not at its top condition at the time of her performance.
Both of Danny's performances were done without the aid of any formal preparation by American Idol.
His "Chain of Fools" performance was done some time before American Idol aired, and his "Proud Mary" performance was obviously his audition for the show.
Syesha's performances were from her Hollywood Week and Top 4 performances respectively.
Please take these into consideration as you determine who sang which song better, or who is the better singer in general.

yeah and danny is singing in the same key as syesha, which is way easier for guys to do cuz it's about 3 notes lower, for a guy to compare he'd have to be a tenor and go a bit higher. danny is doing this in the original, female key

Haha I agree with everything you said, down to the "borderline unhealthy obsession." That was a nice way of putting it.
Vocally I've always thought that Syesha is great, but I'm definitely biased towards Danny. He's just so unique (though he hates that word he said). He left way earlier than he should've. :(

I believe Syesha did better on both of them. Danny was ok but needed more soul, if youre gonna song Aretha and a Tina Turner song you have to add rasp and soul.
danny looked like he had to work harder to get his voice out because he was sitting..it's harder to sing while sitting..
i think that syesha is a great singer..but i'm biased towards danny..;p

Interesting...This is a good comparison. In both songs Danny had no music to back him up and was just singing without any real practice or coaching and he sounded better on both songs.
How could America have gotten it so wrong? He should have gone so much further in the competition.

obviously syesha's was better...whoever posted this is obsessed with danny because you are leading viewers to know that danny just randomly started singing like he was fantastic...his was just plain annoying. he's good, but syesha is the better singer, hence he didn't make top 12
