"Cadillac man", great song, Jon gave to Johnny Hallyday on his album "ça ne change pas un homme". Johnny wanted him to produce an entire record but Jon gave another song called "Le nom que tu portes" in french. I remember Jon saying back in 1991 "Johnny did a great job and Richie played with him".
I still believe the best version of this is the Hammersmith live performance. All we need is a soundboard mix or a cleaned up live recording of that version... id litterally buy a hard copy of just that song for $100.
I have a live version of this on an old bootleg from years ago. Great to finally hear a studio version. I wonder why it never ended up on the movie it was wrote for. Great song, its classic Jon & Richie.

@@DTBAMPSPC Rehearsal. Jon confirmed in a fan club interview in 1991 that they never made a proper studio recording as a band for this song.
