As ever from the team at Lelit, a simple, clear and easy to understand video. Our Bianca is used professionally by us serving hundreds of espressos a day and is a delight to use. Keep up the good work. Kind regards Paul from France
Couldn't have been any clearer or simpler. The shop I bought the machine from set it to 8.5 bar. Using the info here I set it back to 10 bar and will adjust using the paddle if I want to decrease it. Many thanks!
Hi. Just bought the Bianca. Comming from Giotto and VBM Super PID DB. This is a fantastic machine. Thank you very much. Please keep up with your instructive vids. It's really giving the users knowledge on the machine. Especially on paddle control🙏
I adjusted the pump pressure as explained in the video to 9 bar, but during the extraction the group head pressure gauge reaches slightly beyond 10 bar! Why? Should I reduce pump pressure further (to 8 bar maybe) to achieve 9 bar pressure at group head ?
Hello, thank you for your comment! We inform you that LELIT coffee machines can reach from 9 to 10.5 bars during extractions. If you want to know more about our machines or you have any question, please don't hesitate to contact us at care.foryou@lelit.com!
Hi, my pump pressure is at 9 bar and group pressure is at 10 bar (with blind filter). Should I reduce pump filter further (to 8 bar maybe) to achieve 9 bar pressure at group head ? Does this have any negative effect on the machine ? Please advise, thank you !!!

Hi. At 0:29 you say that you will need to calibrate the expansion valve and turn the adjustable screw on the rotary pump. Is it correct that it will need some kind of calibration before lowering the pump pressure by turning the screw anti-clockwise? I have a Bianca v2 if that matters. Best regards, Kasper.
Hi, we usually regulate di opv to adjust the extraction pressure in the machines with vibrating pump. In the machines with rotative pump, such as Bianca, we do not regulate the opv. This is because the regulation happens already in the bypass of the machine, as shown in the video. Thank you, LELIT Team
@@LELIT_Official Thank you for answering my question. One last thing: will it be ok to lower the pump pressure to 9 bar? The flow rate in my Bianca’s group head is in the low end (320g/minute ) and I am able to pull a double shot (18g in/ 36g out) in 24-25 sec. A finer grind will increase the brew pressure which I’m not interested in. I think lowering the pump pressure from 10 to 9 bar will be more optimal, but I want to make sure that the pump pressure is not going to be too low for the machine to operate. Thanks! :-)
@@k42p3r Hi Kasper F, the machine works well also at 9 bars. Speaking about the flow you can increase it, if you need it. Please check the video ua-cam.com/video/rdq9j3AZ6W0/v-deo.html Thank you! LELIT team
It depends on the kind of coffee and on the grind size. We suggest you to adjust the rotary pump over the extraction pressure value. In this case proceed with 9.5 bar. Use the machine with this set for a few days and eventually improve the set up if needed. Thank you, LELIT Team
Hello, thank you for your comment and for your interest in LELIT coffee machines! To learn more about our products, please contact us at care.foryou@lelit.com!
The V3 we just received today seems to be factory calibrated at 10 or 10.5Bar which is surprising considering the universal standard for espresso appears to be 9.0Bar everywhere I read. I'll try to adjust it down so it has less pressure, and then re-calibrate my grinder's setting. So far extremely impressed mostly for the price, it is definitely BETTER than my (Rocket R58 2019) hands down and less expensive too. I'm now jealous of my mom's machine that I bought her lol.

With coffee puck there is pressure loss, so if you get 10 or 12 or whatever don't matter, what matters is what pressure you get during extraction....if you drop to 9 you might have weaker extraction.... Again 9 bar is during espresso, not during blanked grouphead
On my bianca the pump pressure is set exactly to ten bar but with blind filter the head pressure shows 11.5 bar when fully open. Is this normal or is there any problem? Thank you.
Hello, a difference of 1/1,5 Bar between the pump pressure gauge and the coffee group pressure gauge is normal in the Bianca machines. The pressure gauge placed on the panel, it shows the value of the delivery pressure of the rotary pump before the gicleur. Whereas the pressure gauge on the group, it shows the pressure on the coffee puck, which is also influenced by the expansion that occurs in the coffee boiler. So, during the coffee extraction, I suggest you to consider the pressure of the group pressure gauge.
@@LELIT_Official Hi, but could you please tell something about ANITA PL042EM? The pressure on manometre (blind filter) is 8.5 bar, and during brewing it drops to 7.8-7.9. Should I adjust the OPV to get 9.5-10.0 bar with blind filter, so that, 9.0 during brewing, I hope)?
