Thank you for this 🤗I struggle with having patience with my patients every day. It should be easier since I developed this skill due to raising boys w/one on the autism spectrum. Learning about how to give up the battles to God & asking to be filled with his Holy Spirit is key. But….be on high alert, for the devil walks around the earth searching to kill, steal & destroy your ……. (Fill in the blank). So learning & praying from Ephesians 6:10 was & still is a weekly, if not daily, food for the soul.

I just found your channel while looking for devotions . I related 1000% to your son with his speech. My son didn’t really speak until he was a little older than 2yrs old. This is when I learned parental patience!

This is my first time here and I've been struggling to spend time with God! I'm actually in grad school to be a speech therapist so it was so cool to hear you talk about your son with expressive language disorder! Patience is such an important message and tool in so many ways! I'm gunna take this as a smile from God that I needed to be here the morning :)

I just found this and needed this just to sit with today and think about this week, thank you! I used to be such a patient patient person but I got so burnt out in life. I have a 4-year old son now, and love spending my day with him, but I have Aspergers/am autistic and get sensory overload and all kinds of impatient if I’m burnt out!! Ugh yes I hear you when you talked about patience making dinner ha! And the patience bouncing off each other, my son reflects my mood often times and mine his. Will definitely try to pray to God this week for patience to take on the day and stay strong in love 💙 I spend so much time trying to practice self-care, to meditate, but will take these words with me during these breaks and just lift up a little prayer for guidance 🙏
Amen Laura. I know how short patience can be. The only thing that’s helped me is praying about it and really just surrendering to God. Slowing down taking a deep breathe and starting again from a place of love❤️💗💕 God bless you and your beautiful son ❤️❤️

Thank you for this video! I searched for a women's devotional this morning and your video popped up. I struggle with patience as well so this was an encouragement. I know God brought this video to me because I (expect) my son to be diagnosed with expressive language disorder this morning at a doctor's appointment, and really needed to hear from another mom what this was like. My son is 3 and has a speech delay and has an overstimulated sensory disorder. I often find myself frustrated and overwhelmed because the communication is so hard. I start to feel bad because i love him and want what best for him. I never want him to feel like i don' t because i know sometimes i let it get the best of me. This spoke to me to pray with him and ask God to help us learn together. I am taking him to therapy and it has helped so much althoug it is still very challenging i see the improvement. I will start today praying with my son!
Amen Sis, my son still has difficulty to this day but I remember when he was 3 years old and I was going through the same thing it’s a lot to cope with and frustrating but I know God will he’ll just as he helped me and praying for patience is key I will keep you both In prayer also ♥️♥️🙏🏾🤗
Thank you for this video. It was very helpful. My first born autistic. We had the same experience with doctors explaining the different milestones. I feel that I always knew. He was diagnosed at 3 and a half. The need for patience is always great and it is something that I need to work on. I appreciated your thoughtful insight from someone with a similar experience. I've worked with children before which requires an extreme amount of patience. If I could do it so can you all it's easy. Children's brains are still developing so you MUST understand that. A Grown a!! person trying to wear your patience thin or test you may have a mental issue or some sort of brain developmental issue that prevents them from understanding that what they are doing is not okay and they need to stop. So just imagine what you're dealing with and react accordingly. But don't let anybody abuse you in any way. Idc if it's emotionally spiritually physically or what it is. If they do and you're in a situation where you can protect yourself without being at risk, then make sure you react. React very fast.

Thank you this video.. I have a 16 year old autistic daughter. My patience is literally gone. This quarantine is making it worse. She has meltdowns because she wants to go school. Plus she's about 95% nonverbal.
Hi Jaleh I’m sorry you’re going through this right now. Especially with what’s going on in the world. May I suggest praying specifically to God and asking Him to calm the heart of your precious daughter ash the Holy Spirit to send peace to her and yourself. Ask for understanding and patience and always take deep breaths. When I get like this with my Son I have to take a deep breath and automatically tell myself okay ! It’s time to act from love and I tell myself to act from a place of understanding God will deliver , just always start at your heart first when your irritated understand that if you show love you always win. So lots of deep breaths , praying and love with fix this problem ♥️♥️☺️🙏🏾
