WHY wasn't Bob Mayer famous, nationally & beyond!? Terrific TV presence; just-the-facts clarity; clear, solid moral code. Fab humour too (as his Goodyear Blimp 'review' showed.)
I absolutely love the bold fashion choices of that era, especially Max Puyanic's suit jacket. I don't think I could dress that way everyday, but boy does it make a statement!
*Bob Mayer. Dick Cavett. Now Tom Holland. GREAT!* Screen history (e.g.) put short men on blocks, taller ladies in ditches etc. These three true role models own their size.
Mayer's look also shows ease in his stature; e.g. big bold lapels might swallow someone less cool with petit size. He even says in an AMC review: "I'm only 5-foot 5 and a half..."
I can't imagine any of these building are standing today. Guniting seems like it would merely cover over the terrible block work and leave the weak bones of the structure hidden inside. Looks like the same mason crew did the block work for all the condos in this series. Thanks for posting these, I really enjoyed watching them.
They are actually still here but its obvious they are shit quality, especially the snapper creek townhomes look horrid. The Inca Condo collapsed in 1983 killing 3 people and injuring 37 people.
All of them are still standing - La Lisa Apartments, W 77th St Hialeah FL; Snapper Creek Townhouses along SW 72nd St in Kendall FL; Westland Court Condominium (formerly known as The Inca) on W 60th St in Hialeah, 2595 SW 115th Ave, Miami (since heavily remodeled), and El Conquistador Condominiums on SW 86th St, Miami - none of those multifamily developments have been "flagged" in the wave of intensive inspections following the Champlain Towers collapse in Surfside, so presumably, the repair work done in the 1970s after Bob's exposes did the trick and they've been properly maintained since.

@@videosuperhighway7655 This was seven years before the Surfside complex was built.
The La Lisa apartment complex seems to still be around and shows it being built in 1973.
