Buddha himself strongly encouraged people to be skeptical of his teachings, and to test the principles for themselves in their daily lives to see if it they are true or not. I greatly appreciate this aspect of Buddhism, whereas other major religions expect "blind faith." Wherever you are, may you be happy and free from suffering.

Although Islam was a religion since the creation of Adam (pbuh), the final messanger of Allah (peace be upon him) was revealed the Holy Quran.
The evidence is the Quran. There were sooo many prophecies, signs and miracles, but as a scientist, my favorite are the scientific ones.
The Quran was sent 1400 years ago in a desert. It describes the Big Bang, Embryology, that salty and regular water dont mix in the ocean, that the Sun rotates around the axis, that planets have orbits and Im just scratching the surface of the iceberg.
If you want more proof, learn about the Quran and google the video - scientific miracles in the Quran

Buddha also encouraged his Bhikkhus to question everything, including his own teachings. Critical thinking is very important in Buddhism. I doubt very strongly that Buddha, as we have come to call him, was looking to start a religion. He was just a wise man who had some good advice and religion sprang from that. Remember, Buddha wasn't a Buddhist. He was just doing his thing, and people started following suit.

Buddha preaching the same methodology to wisdom one should with the scientific method. There are no true gurus in science, just celebrity scientists. You should be aloud to question Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein if you manage to find imperical evidence, not with pseudo-science where “my idea is right, academia is trying to silence me! Waaah.”
Mind you, I still like researching on Einstein and Newton as individuals. They are without a doubt inspiring to a legendary degree. But their theories are just as subject to scrutiny as a physicist fresh out of university.

He put forward a practical solution (and it does work) for dealing with dukkha. It doesn't automatically stop you having faith in a god or whatever. That's up to you..... It's like Buddha said... this is a journey, as you grow wiser along your path, the way you see and live reality will change. In fact, it is also sort of "take the stones of suffering out of your shoes and use them (as a strength) to construct your path."

Do you know what kind of punishment you will endure?
“Surely! Those who disbelieved in Our Signs, We shall burn them in Fire. As often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for other skins that they may taste the punishment. Truly, Allaah is Ever Most Powerful, All-Wise.”

Buddhism says two thing about rebirth :
1st , [ Samara : ]believes in continuous cycle of rebirth, if so then how is our population increasing ?
Population shouldn't increase if rebirth is actually a thing. If there is one person, then there will be only one person on earth because of "REBIRTH"

accordingly, population shouldn't increase as well , but that's not what's happening since the beginning of mankind .

Rebirth : being born again with brand new body and a complete new starting. (So a persson won't remember the past life !!! )

I like to explain about violence and religion. Buddhism never encourage violence or theft or lying etc. those are basic teachings. But people do those things in the name of Buddha or Buddhism. Who's fault is that? And yes, I'm from Myanmar and I'm very aware of violence committed by Buddhist extremists. And I'm ashamed for those people (many are monks). They say hate speech against other religions, other race in the name of Buddhism. But in fact, Buddha never encouraged that.

Here is the difference: Budhism can be experienced. It's not faith based. You dont have to believe anything. That's why there is such a emphasis in ignorance and understanding. You don't even have to make a vow. And it could surely be viewd in a purely secular manner. Buddha wanted to end (psychological suffering). And he did. Now days we can see the brain changes in people that practice meditation. So if you DONT believe in buddha and you practice what he taught you will arive in the same conclusions he did. In some sense he was the first psychologist in the world. Whereas for muhammed you have to convert otherwise you will die.
Research have shown that various branches of modern day western psychology have a lot of commonalities with Buddhism.

His problem is he failed to understand the key message of Buddha teachings that every human being has the equal mind capacity to achieve the highest spiritual life condition termed Buddhahood. His other problems is he don’t understand Buddhism because Buddhism is not a teaching to be merely read or “come and believe” but a “come and practise” teaching.

I'm a Hindu, but I have a deep respect for Buddhism. Both the religions are for people who are willing to question, people who are willing to find their own way and construct their wisdom in their own pace.
Meditation and realisation of the self are big aspects of both. Buddha (Siddhartha Gautama) was indeed a human, and that's what makes him greater than any God. He showed us that it is possible for a human to be enlightened and realise the nature of his/her soul. He never forced anyone to follow his teachings, nor did he ever ask anyone to kill/fight in his name, and he never asked anyone to bad-mouth those who don't follow him.
His way is simply a blueprint, similar to Sanatan Dharma's Yoga and Tapasya, at the end of the day, each person has to follow his/her own path at their own pace.
That's what I adore about both the religions.

See Buddhism is not for everybody. Why? Cz there's no magic and humans love magic, miracles over logic and hardwork. Buddha was a philosopher. Discipline and kindness is all he preached for which u don't need god in the first place cz it can be learned if u got sound mind and good upbringing.
There were some miracles reported. Also other monks who have penetrated states between form and formlessness that have left their marks in unique ways.

Buddha was a good human Being. No violence, subjugating women, inclusivity, freedom and enlightenment. How you experience wisdom of Buddha is in your own transforming your animal to human and to be the Divine. End produce of religion is fruits of a path.

Monks,I speak,listen.
At the time when the universe is developing like a bud, that is, at the beginning of the Vivatthamana Yuga, a first-born being appears. After living alone for a while, he came up with this idea.
"I am the great Brahma! I am the great Brahma!, the all-conquering, all-knowing, all-seeing, all-creating author, all-creating, all-subduing and applying each and every thing to each and every place. I am the great Brahma, the father of all those born and to be born. All these Created by me."
"How come, a moment ago I thought that it would be good if more beings would appear here. That was my expectation, my determination. According to that expectation, these beings were born".
The creatures born after Brahma also thought like this. "This one must be our creator, The all-conquering, all-knowing creator of all. The supreme leader, the organizer, the father of all beings, the great Brahma."
Monks, thus the first-born lived long. He was charming, his body shone with bright light, he wore interesting clothes, he was powerful. But those born after him were less powerful than him. One of these people dies ( even supreme beings die after their long lifespans ) and disappears from there and is born to a family as a human being on earth. He left the layman's house and assumed the guise of a hermit/yogi/shramana and attained Dhyana (higher levels of meditation) due to his efforts, diligence,hard work, interest and intelligence. With that meditative power he remembers his previous birth in that heaven.But he fails to remember previous births before them
He thinks:
"That venerable Brahma is the all-conquering, all-knowing, all-creating author and creator, the leader of all, the organizer of all, the father of all born and unborn, the great Brahma. We are created by him. He is eternal, unchanging. Everlasting. Let us live as one. Let us be temporary. Let us inherit death."
Then he started to preach what he thought were true.
Therefore, monks, this was the beginning of the belief that everything originates from a Brahma/the Creator/God
All of you are mortals who always put logic on everything. It will be infinity loop to talk about religion with people like you. Religion is like fictional story. So keep being atheist and stop put so much hatred towards any religion. Learn to respect other people who believe and practice the religion rather than put into meaningless arguments. If it is nonsense to you, then you better leave it there.

I am a Buddhist. And in my religion, finding purpose of life is not important. Important is how we can end suffering in Human life. People witness many things and then make a purpose in life. The Buddha did the same. When he was a prince, he saw suffering fir the first time, to find the answers of his questions he asked himself, he enlightened himself.
