Hey Terje , great to see you back. Hope you,Elisabeth and shabby are doing well. Yep,knitting pronounced nitting. You should have ais and radar. Take care of yourselves and be safe out there.
Takker for den Morten, vi kommer selfölgelig med flere videoer fremover.. Vi har jo ikke kommet frem enda og etter det må eventyret fortsette, hvor? vi får se, he he....
HEY! Glad to see you are back. Nine months is along time! You had me worried that you gave up the sea and settle down with Elizabeth. She's awesome for sticking with you. Also she never needs to worry about being on camera. I hope you all stayed safe from the Covid 19. Cheers!
Glad to be back Will... he he, well she do not like it when i am filming her but she will come around, (i think).. Still happy on the boat and frankly, i see no point of moving on land, the only thing i can say after living on a boat for two years is i wish i did it years ago.. This sense of freedom means to much for me.. Cheers!
Good to see you back, Terje! Missed your happy spirit and my goodness, you look as fit and healthy as a butchers dog! Looking forward to the further adventures of Embla.
@@SailingEmbla Haha, nothin wrong with that bud! Just observing that yeah, you're looking quite a bit fitter than the last time we saw you. Must be the healthy sea air! This is why I'm desperate to get my boat. i'm fed up being stuck in this little apartment while the world gets out and has fun. Hopefully soon!
Its fine i love dogs so, he he.. You must definitely should.. I think this "life is like sailing" channel is from Canada.. He moved aboard and loved it.. What are you looking for when it comes to boats?
@@SailingEmbla I'll look that channel up, don't think I've seen him yet. I'm looking for a solidly build cruiser about 50ft in length. Currently eyeing up this Fraser 51 (www.yachtworld.com/boats/1985/fraser-51-3657147/) that's sitting in San Diego but can't get down to see her for the Covid situ. Something like that or a Tayana 52, Oyster 48, Garcia 45 (dream dream....)! Haha
That is not a boat, that is a ship.. planning to hire crew? He he.. just kidding, up here that would be to costly to own and maintain. Prices for boat gear and stuff up here are maddening expensive..
@@SailingEmbla Its good here in little old New Zealand. My videos are at a halt as it takes me too long and I don't get boat work done, but I have got a lot of boat work done lately. I'm on the hardstand, I now live on board, engine has been rebuilt, lots of other boat working going on. Looking forward to more of your videos now you have started the season. Are you going to go through the Locks to Russia?
He he, I know the feeling, it takes so much longer doing boat work when filming...how is it living aboard? About RU it's more todo about quarantine next year but we will see. It's still a dream doing it.
@@SailingEmbla yeah, living aboard is good. I should have done it sooner. It does mean inside jobs are longer and more complicated. But, its clearer to me now what I need, rather than what i think I need. What are your plans for this season? ow far are you thinking of going?
Funny you mention this but that is something i tell people that you dont really know what you need before you try. You will never get out of the harbor if you must do, fix or get all the stuff on that initial list we do.. Fix the basics, try and just go from there is what i go by to day.. This season is coming to a halt as winter is coming soon and i still have to work. Just small trips around Lofoten is the plan for now but it could be worse, Its Lofoten and its so amazing everywhere you look.
So it wasn't a case of "man overboard" glad to see you back.
Noooo, he he... it's way to cold in the water for any of that..
Hey Terje , great to see you back. Hope you,Elisabeth and shabby are doing well. Yep,knitting pronounced nitting. You should have ais and radar. Take care of yourselves and be safe out there.
Hey John, I think you are right in that, I think i will get a AIS reciver and transponder for Embla before the next adventure..
Good to see you back 👍👍
Thanks Joseph...We are sailing on..
Niiiiiice bro ❤️😻
That is hard core fog knitting!! Good to see you back on the tube! Fair winds 😀⛵👍🧶
He he, "hard core knitting" Its gonna be a floor covering eventually... How are things in the south of Norway?
@@SailingEmbla Rainy, so rainy.... Hoping for a expedition north next summer. Helgelandskysten, at least. 😄
That is a amazing place to sail, i wish to do it all over again but this time with more time.. To much to see..
@@SailingEmbla If you are a little technically gifted, an OpenPlotter concept would also be possible as a backup, just browse www. Rooco.eu. ,)
I am looking in to it.. I mostly navigate with my B&G plotter and or Ipad, dont really know if its compatible..
I like your Beard 🥰
Endelig er dere tilbake. Vi har savnet dere her. Håper dere gjør flere filmer nå.

Hey Rodney, we are doing just fine here up in the Arctic of Norway..
Great video!

Welcome back.
Thanks Kevin, Im glad to be back.. I have some ideas for some cool videos for the future... Cheers!

Thanks Dawid, no Covid here, atleast not yet.
Godt å se du er tilbake :)
Takk du Christer, herlig å kunne legge ut noe igjen.
Welcome back! I thought you were abducted by trolls...
I was indeed for a while, that was rough. trolls have a really bad hygiene and it smelled inside that cave..He he.
Hi Terje! I think this pirate ship is the same type what appeared in the movie Captain Ron with Martin Short and Kurt Russell...
It Could be Balazs, Kinda similar... I dont know if i have seen the actual film..Maybe i should?
About time :)
Når kommer dere seilendes opp hit da? he he
Ja det er et godt spørsmål, vi hadde 3 uker i sommer, og kom til Fjærland i Sognefjorden før vi snudde hjemover igjen :)
Ja det tar litt tid om man önsker å se seg omkring og ikke bare segle rett på...
you can get a "RTL-SDR" usb software defined radio receiver to plug in to a computer or OpenCPN and it works as an AIS receiver for about $20
I will look into it Nick, it could be a cheap fix for my problems but i navigate with a iPad and i would like to have a transponder onboard to..
@@SailingEmbla Transponder is ideal, but until then, it could be a good option and a decent backup receiver.
I agree, I know many people are using this Opencpn... good advice.👍
Yes knitting ?
That is neat! hi hi...
