We’ve been owned by Neapolitan Mastiff(s); Great Pyr’s; and now Newfies (our youngest is a 6 month old Landseer Newfie) so we know, all too well, the challenges of helping our big guys into SUV’s and Pickups.

I have 2 Newfoundlands and prefer a ramp.
I just slide the ramp sideways on the floor behind the front seats

I bought this today for my 100 lb lab and 4runner after watching this video. Originally, I ordered something cheaper which was just a straight out step of the same size but was too high. This seems to be worth the cost. Thanks for the video.

The twist step looks like a great idea even for medium sized dogs. I have two geriatric 50-60 pound dogs and drive a 2003 GMC Jimmy 2 door SUV. The back is too tall for them to jump in and out so I lift them. I think I’ll get one but really only needing to use it a few times a year I don’t think I would leave it on the vehicle when not in use.

Now you need an invention that automatically wipes the dog slobber from inside the car. I had a 237 pound American Mastiff. He was a good boy but cleaning up after him was like mucking a horse stall.
