One of my favorite places to visit and for shopping when I go to the US, is a military surplus store, I spend a lot of money there. As matter of fact, I spend more money there than in an actual mall store. That is why I say, God bless America 👍🇺🇸
Thanks for the video. I grew up a few blocks from an Army surplus store, it looked very much like this one, right down to there being tables with random stuff on them, lol. They sure know how to stack it deep and to the rafters. This was like a little trip down memory lane, thanks again!
I’ve been to that store in converse. Our family machine shop used to be right down the street from it. Awesome store. Their first aid section is the best.
I grew up a block off of Yadkin Blvd. In Fayetteville. I loved taking a walk and hitting all the stores and the Korean tailors that would make or modify anything you wanted . Hell I was larping before it was cool. Great memories . I can't take a road trip without stopping if I see one .
How lucky are you to have a surplus store like that!!! I might have to plan a trip just to hit up that store. Our surplus stores are no where near that stocked!
The local Surplus store was THE outdoor gear and clothing store when I was growing up. I spent many an hour browsing. Incidentally, it was called Browseville. And spending much of my paper route earnings there too.
Unfortunately here in my city the army surplus stores have gone retail, when I was young they used to be good real surplus stores but they’re not anymore. The few that were good surplus stores went out of business also so there is just two now here in Indianapolis and their 80% new retail

Its surprising when your local surplus store shows up on UA-cam. It’s a great store they have an awesome Selection of items and equipment. The only bad thing I can say about that place is the prices for things have gone up a lot since 2019. I know that’s everywhere but I’ve noticed a huge spike in the prices for most surplus lately.
I miss the ones near FT knox that had all kinds of electrical parts and radio gear those were super cool had one that had a lot of stuff like lights and parts from military trucks too

I thought that place looked familiar! They used to sell relatively fresh cases of MREs for $50! After that winter storm they jumped to $200!
Wasn’t the winter storm. Look up mre case prices online, even on base. They are $130.
