I feel like If I saw Matty on the Street one day and just "oye, I like your music, it makes me feel things, lemme buy you a drink" he would probably sit and have a Drink with me. I dig that.
Everything about these gents is incredibly impressive, the amount of care they place into everything they put out is why I'll always be a fan, even if their next album is all gregorian chants
matty talking about not monetizing a fan's personal investment really stuck with me because i've seen so many larger groups do that and take advantage of it, and it's so cool to see that he has that respect and empathy for fans. so much love for the whole band
He definitely repeats certain stories/ideas in various interviews. But...they're always interesting and he seems to repeat them because the kernel of the idea actually truly matters to him. And....he talks about TONS of things...so it's not like the guy is short on content lol. He's a very intelligent and interesting person....kinda obsessed tbh
His rant on monetizing reminds me why I love him and the band so much! He understands what fans have to go through to be emotionally invested in a singer! Or celebrity in general!
It makes me happy that his answer to the last questions completely revolved around the fanbase and he got so into the questions that it branched off in a different direction haha
such a great, thorough, and informative interview! definitely one of my favorites. I also have to mention that this interviewer is amazing! she asked awesome questions and was super professional yet chill! awesome job
+LIVE IN LIMBO a change of heart!! The girl interviewing matty picked up my sweater when she was taking pictures of the band! I was in the very front & it fell off the railing hehe :)
+LIVE IN LIMBO Love me and The Sound are quite pop, but are still quite sonically and ideologically unique. I like the 1975's (as mentioned) organic approach to making music that I really appreciate. Pop music is quite generic these days, so when bands come out with great music that retains a unique sense of style is always refreshing. We always need artists to have unique qualities that are executed well to show us good and different music. I love their first album as well, and love the poppy hits such as heart out, girls, chocolate, as well as all of the other songs on both of their albums. Sonically, lyrically descriptive, I love the guitar riffs and production of the songs.
dear matty I would love some more meet and greet opportunities in the uk plsplspls great interview btw, great questions of which I haven't heard asked before in any interviews with the boys :)
The fact that this interview took place while I was lined up a few yards away makes me feel some type of way. Especially when Matty is cleary sporting a look!
falling for you was tear-worthy.😍😭 'Me' was hard to watch because he had asked everyone to put their phones away, since the song is so important to him and he wanted it to be just him and the fans with no disconnect, but still people RIGHT near me had their phones blatantly out, filming with no shame😑 I'm like he asked you to do ONE thing; so disrespectful to Matty. Just film your favorite part of a song, then put your phone away and ENJOY the concert; experience it without the interruption of technology!😫 I'm just so happy he sang old songs though💕 At our concert, he unfortunately didn't sing This Must Be My Dream or Nana😔
I feel like If I saw Matty on the Street one day and just "oye, I like your music, it makes me feel things, lemme buy you a drink" he would probably sit and have a Drink with me. I dig that.
He is an incredibly smart person, so laid back and cool to be around!
+MyKesuke he def is! Have you seen them live?
+LIVE IN LIMBO Yes, I saw them live for the first time in my life this Tuesday, it was my big dream for two years already!
LIVE IN LIMBO
Everything about these gents is incredibly impressive, the amount of care they place into everything they put out is why I'll always be a fan, even if their next album is all gregorian chants
+Aiur they are enlightened ones
matty talking about not monetizing a fan's personal investment really stuck with me because i've seen so many larger groups do that and take advantage of it, and it's so cool to see that he has that respect and empathy for fans. so much love for the whole band
+Emmy Lauren much love!
He's really obsessed with that camel quote 😂😂 it's like the millionth interview he's mentioned it in
ikr😂😂😂

I love them 💞
+shelbygrayson3 doll he is! We hope to do an interview with the whole group next time! Stay tuned
Matty is so smart UGH
he taught me everything I know
During my concert they ran out of signed records so The 1975 signed them literally 10 mins before show time so that the fans would get them
It makes me happy that his answer to the last questions completely revolved around the fanbase and he got so into the questions that it branched off in a different direction haha
There's so many reasons to love this dude.
I really wish I had known them before this album came out cause their music, personalities, and everything about The 975 is just amazing
this is such a good interview, I love the questions and how matty responded to them.
❤️❤️My heart belongs to Matty Healy❤️❤️💞
+Bianca Hale I'm sure he accepts it 😆
when he said autumn I melted 😍
You know it's a good interview, when the interviewer doesn't begin with the question, "Why is the album titled ILIWYSFYASBYSUOI?"
+Nikita Fernandes legit best acronym ever

+bea // thanks for your compliments Bea! Hope you get to meet them in the future soon!
The fact that this interview took place while I was lined up a few yards away makes me feel some type of way. Especially when Matty is cleary sporting a look!

+alba _pr thank you so much!
LOVE MATTY
+Krystal Rose so loveable :)
Great interview!!! I think by Medicine EP you mean LP?
No. I think she meant single because that's what it is. An LP is a Long Play aka a full length album.
Yeah she meant single or 7"
lovely man
He's v wonderful
I so hope they play here in Toronto again soon...on their 2017 tour they bypassed Toronto...why??? I say we ask them to return here this year! :)))
3:00 - Matty spits out a bird.
😂
+JODIE HEWITT LOL
fuck he reminds me so much of Michael Hutchence
You can't watch this and not fall in love.. It's impossible
+Reem Zidan many have tried and many have failed.
I WAS THERE@!!@!@!@
+Zynthium Gaming woo hoo! What was your fav part of the Toronto show?
LIVE IN LIMBO Probs when Sex came on, or when we jumped during The Sound, the venue is pretty lousy though.
Loved the interview because this wasn't just the same lame questions every interviewer usually asks him
+Sophia aw thank you so much! Hope you watch more of our exclusive interviews with the artists you love!
i was in toronto literally a week later im
hey matty! i love you
💙
I'm seeing them live on Saturday and I cAN't EvENnnNn
+IndieKidElisa you're going to have a blast! Where at?
for sure! at ilosaarirock
I saw them back in May, if I believe you was unbelievably amazing live😍😭
can't wait to hear it live! 😍
falling for you was tear-worthy.😍😭 'Me' was hard to watch because he had asked everyone to put their phones away, since the song is so important to him and he wanted it to be just him and the fans with no disconnect, but still people RIGHT near me had their phones blatantly out, filming with no shame😑 I'm like he asked you to do ONE thing; so disrespectful to Matty. I need a dictionary when I listen to him talk
We have a silver haired brown girl little person interviewing Matty.
+Lana Howard silver haired people are wise. Like Gandalf.
LIVE IN LIMBO Hehehe omg that was so cute. You did such a good job interviewing too.
She’s a cutie I like her
I love the Lord more than
My mattey but I love him to .
her voice *cringes*
Even the singer from a teenybopper pop band like this should know better than to wear a MAN BUN. Notch further down.
not a man bun just a plain pony tail to keep the hair outta his eyes in that hot weather😉
There's nothing wrong with a man having a bun! How is it different from a woman wearing a bun?
+Liam McFarland exactly! and anyway men suit buns better than most women
when you have long hair it's handy to tie it out of your face ;) he didn't grow the fucking thing just to have it
that was so BORING..
