Great to see you again. Disturbed has become one of my favorite bands, next to Pentatonix, of course. I am not a metal fan but like I like to say if David is singing, I’m listening. This song means so much to me. I am 63 and a three time survivor of suicide. Undiagnosed mental illness. 10 years of meth use. 16 years clean. If it wasn’t for my family and friends, I probably wouldn’t be here right now. At 54 I was finally diagnosed bipolar type two. Also known as bipolar depressive. Once I was diagnosed and properly medicated, it changed my life. If you want another song about there being a light at the end of the tunnel, I suggest THE LIGHT. It’s a harder song but with an awesome message. On another note, when are you gonna do some more Pentatonix? 😁🤗💋🥰
Thank you so much for sharing Tammyhill3798. I am so pleased to hear the amazing progress you have made and the journey you have taken to get to your current position. I will look into your recommendation. The reason there has been a slow down with Pentatonix is because I am having a lot of problems posting them after recording. I will try again.
I am so glad to hear you came out the other side and are still here with us. My daughter has fought depression, addiction (clean about 12 years) and was finally diagnosed as neurodivergent. She still stuggles with depression and I pray daily for her and am always a sounding board for her and will be for as long as I live.
Such a thoughtful reaction. I’ve gone the rabbit hole of reactions to any of Disturbed’s songs. I love their ballads as well as their metal songs. Their newest video that was released last month. It’s a ballad called Don’t Tell Me featuring Ann Wilson of Heart, best female rocker ever. It’s about the pain of divorce, letting go of that person you still love. I think you’d love it. David Draiman, the lead singer was trained as a Jewish Cantor in his youth, giving that unusual quality to his voice.
The Light is another good one that is more Rock than this one but still has an important message. Another one like this from Disturbed is Hold on to Memories.
