My wagon was a 58 Dodge Corrent wagon, which back in my youth, used to back into the drive in movies and watch from the mattress in the rear of the wagon 😊😊,and I had it set up with certains on the side windows 😊
Wow! I remember seeing a lot of those station wagons in the 70's fixed that way with curtains! Don't come knocking if you see this station wagon rocking! LOL!
My favorite was the first 56 station wagon, the Ranch wagon. I had a 57 Ranch wagon when I was 17 yrs, really didn't know what I had untill it was gone . The prices are pretty reasonable also. Enjoy your videos and give aways.
Thanks Terry! Yeah, the same happened to me; after my Dad had passed away, I had 1st chance at a 1952 Chevy that my Dad bought new, but I told my Mom I wasn't interested, so she sold it to someone else. I wish now that I had that car!
Sorry about that I want them all. Like all the cars in your videos they make me drool. Many years ago I bought my 13 year old son and old Datsun station wagon with a blown motor for $50 he showed that he was going to be mechanically inclined I told him he could have it if he could rebuild the motor he had it done by the time that he was 16 as well as he redid the interior to his teenage liking. 😊😊 He is 48 now and he loves to fish and it's still his fishing car. Best 50.00 I ever spent of course it doesn't count the money I helped him with on his rebuilding the motor.
Thanks Solon, loved seeing station wagons highlighted. The Nova II looks very interesting, I wonder how much the seller will eventually come down from his 17,500 firm in order to move it. Regardless the Nova II would make an amazing two tone, slammed n bagged restro-rod.
Too many to pick from. The 56 Fords were pretty nice, but that old Edsel was spec’ed out so nice. And the 63 Nova was a total sleeper. And the old Rambler would cruise so smooth.
@@garycamara9955 you know what, nobody pretty much did either. Just older folks. My best friend in high school’s dad and uncle both were big fans, so I got to ride in them some. They were actually very dependable and ran well. But as a teenager, not the car to attract the girls.
GREAT Video! living out here where I live in the Southwest Triangle I've noticed more and more Wagons being put back on the road and rebuilt and being driven by families to and from vacations like we used to. My daughter works at a camp ground and even she noticed it, she said last summer that number of families with smaller campers being pulled by wagons and classic trucks had atleast tripled over the year before. I believe it's because it's cheaper to buy an old camper and wagon and redo them both and then drive to vacations like L.A./Disney, the Grand Canyon or to go visit Grandma and Grandpa in Phoenix or Las Vegas then it is to fly, get a rental car and a hotel for a week.
The wagons are cool but I've seen lots of nice 55, 56, and 57 T-birds for the asking price of these cars and I think a nice tri-5 T-bird is much cooler, a better value, plus they are convertibles with removable hardtops.
I’m sure it’s just me, but I don’t really care for the fantasy drag racing portion of the videos, but if you were to make it a separate video, (weird I Know) but I would watch it all! Though I’d like a little more background on the driver and his ride and any beef they have with the other driver and his ride! But hey, no shit, I love your classics for sale videos!! And I love the themes involved…. All Wagons This Week! Sweeeeet!
Thanks Marvin! A few don't like those drag videos but most do! I moved the drag races to the end of the video so that those just wanting to see the cars could then drop out after the #10 car if they wanted to so that kinda fixes it for everyone! Thanks for being a viewer! The station wagons appear to be a big hit!
@@Americanrodshop I had noticed you moved them until after the 10th car, and that works for me. But I will say, I watched tonight, and it seems your doing a much better job on this segment, by showing a second pass, and more details… anywho, either way, I’m more than satisfied with your response! I appreciate your page, and I’ve been sharing, so keep up the GREAT work
Question 1 Tesla, 2 horse, 3 Datsun. You found a nice group of wagon's. I'm late to the video. I got 1. I always look forward to your shows GB and have a great day.
When I was younger I always said the big car's are owned by older people well fast forward a bunch of decades and I understand why they bought them, old bones are more comfortable driving in vehicles with longer wheel base's lol
55 , The first wagon I learned to drive in was A 1961 Ford ranch wagon with 3on the tree and A straight 6 , wish I could find another but age/health say's not possible ☹️☹️, MAYBE IN MY NEXT LIFE & CAN DO BETTER ALSO 👍👍👍👍
I'm goin to have to say the early 60s Rambler Station Wagon is my favorite cause those ol Ramblers were tuff ol car's and I'm pretty sure that everyone of em my brother had was posi track rear-ends with flat axles like the old Jeeps had in em and they wasn't no slouch either lol..I remember several times bein in the wind in em and they went great in snow cause I don't hardly ever remember getting stuck in em but we never went out of our way to get stuck in em..If a road was anywhere that nobody had been through it, those ol Ramblers broke tracks and kept going. I honestly have to say that the Rambler is my favorite although I like em all cause I've always been into station wagons but I haven't had 1 for quite a bit of years..I always wanted to make a sleeper out of em and I did a couple of em an the Cameros and Mustangs didn't like it cause I'd wear em out in the ol Ford Fairmont station wagons that came factory with 302 engines with a 3 or 4speed trans in the floor. The only thing I did was change out the gears in the rear and added a cam 4barrel carb with dual quiet exhaust lol..I had a brown one that my daughter hated the car lol..I'd take her to school in it and she'd duck so nobody could see her in it..She called it a brown turd lol..I finally got her a vehicle that she liked and I just turned her loose in it so she could go on to school on her own..I couldn't understand why she liked it cause it was a grey Dodge Omni and the way I doo dadded it up, she loved it and her friends liked it. I think it may have had something to do with the Harley Davidson motorcycle stickers and front tag that I didn't go overboard with the stickers. I blacked out some of the grill and made my own rim's for it and for some reason she loved the ol car lol...
I'm not afford guy but I really liked #3 and I think the other green and white wagon was very clean cars with a nice look but the 56 chevy could be painted to look very nice.
Love the Nova, i had a 510 wagon that same color, i bought it for $75.00 with weeds growing up around it. It had stopped running and not ten minutes after i received the title i had it running and drive it Away. I put a ton of miles on that car, even went on a trip of 300 miles but my girlfriend at the time who was driving it to college didnt notice the radiator started leaking nor did she stop after the overheated lught came on. I took the battery out and sold it to a buddy who had a scrap yard for $75.00. id have lived to leep it linger than the year i had it, it was quick for an econo box, handled well and got incredible gas. Milage. They were very good little cars
Actually I love all of them, but thanks for the opportunity to actually be able to see a Edsel wagon, I am 72 and never seen one at all 😊
My wagon was a 58 Dodge Corrent wagon, which back in my youth, used to back into the drive in movies and watch from the mattress in the rear of the wagon 😊😊,and I had it set up with certains on the side windows 😊

1958 Yeoman wagon was my favorite. I love the grill on the 1958
Those grills are cool!
55….absolutely love stationwagons! More, please.
It was a hit for sure Betty!
"55" Love all of the wagons since I currently have a 1963 AMC 330 Wagon! I'm enjoying the drag racing and trivia segments too. Great job Solon!!!!😁
Thanks Rambleon I appreciate that!
Talk about one tough car ! That Datsun wagon, is one.
Yes it is and fun to drive thanks man. That's my car
Thanks for doin a station wagon showcase Solon!
Thanks for being a viewer! I enjoyed it!
" OH MY " One of my first cars I bought was a Handy Man 55 Chevy wagon. It was the same color as that 54.
Sweet ride Gave!
55 I think the Rambler would be a fun car to drive and the interior looks really clean.
Yeah me too!
Don't much care for station wagons but love your videos. Thanks and please do one on old Buicks and Caddy's.
Love this episode! These wagons are great!
Thanks Angela!
55
I think the Beetle was launched into space. The ‘63 Chevy II is my favorite of this one.
My favorite was the first 56 station wagon, the Ranch wagon. I had a 57 Ranch wagon when I was 17 yrs, really didn't know what I had untill it was gone . The prices are pretty reasonable also.

Great video- liked the added extras- die-cast car, drag racing video, and the trivial questions!
Thank you for being a viewer!
My favorite car was the '66 Rambler wagon. It's the rarest one of the bunch, excluding that Edsel, and had the best price
Wow thank you so much for showing my little 510 great job and love your show.
You are welcome; thanks for being a viewer!
If the lights work for when a cylinder hits, that Buick has got me.
As always good stuff Solon !! 😊
Thanks TS!
That Edsel was built! I like it. Right now I have my eye on a 67 Chevy wagon. The only downside is the 6 cylinder and 3 on the tree.
It was sweet foe sure
55. Excellent job!!
Thank you for your time. JPK
Thanks John I appreciate it brother!
Love that 63 Nova wagon. We had one just like it.But it was all stock with the straight six.😊
It was a nice car!
I loved the Edsel that wagon was good looking. "55"
I love these wagons. We still own two Buick roadmaster wagons a 93 and a96.😊
Those are great station wagons!
Who would of thought that one day station wagons were going to be badass!! another great vid👍👍 55
I think the 55 Chevrolet is one of the best, beefy looking of the
Tri-5 era.😮😊❤
I like that body best in those years!
'55 fav car, 1956 Ford station wagon red.. like new. Datsun.

Yes it would RadDad!
Love wagons🎉
Thanks David!
The 68 Chevy wagon is my favorite. Been watching that year Chevy for some time now. 55
It is nice!
The nova wagon was best, because I've owned 2 63's but always wanted a wagon, just cool little car
The '56 Ford was nice, but I fell in love with the yellow '58 Chevy
It was COOL!
Too many to pick from. The 56 Fords were pretty nice, but that old Edsel was spec’ed out so nice. And the 63 Nova was a total sleeper. And the old Rambler would cruise so smooth.
My next door neighbor owned the AMC dealership, I still never liked Ramblers

So true Mr Real I have noticed that as well!
My favorite is the red '56 Ford wagon coupe (4:26).
THANKS FOR SAYING THE MAKE OF THE CARS THAT WIN AT THE DRAG RACES / IT TAKES ALL THE GUESS WORK OUT OF IT
Even though the Edsel is overpriced in my opinion, I think it’s the coolest car there today.
“55”
It is cool for sure Ron!
I love the 56 buick..my dad had one..
Thanks for the video
Thanks for being a viewer!
I liked the nova Wagon, very cool
It was nice!
Hey! Didn't get to your video until now. I was busy watching the Chiefs win the Super Bowl and celebrating! OK...Now for the video! :)
55 The 58 Chevy really caught my interest!
The 58 yeoman was my favorite tonight. I passed on a black one last summer for 8k. Too much work needed. ( Or so I thought.) 55
I have only seen one, a green one in my area, but the owner will not sell it!
1956 Ford Ranch Wagon truly a great car
Yes it was Charles, beautiful styling!
The wagons are cool but I've seen lots of nice 55, 56, and 57 T-birds for the asking price of these cars and I think a nice tri-5 T-bird is much cooler, a better value, plus they are convertibles with removable hardtops.
Good assessment! Thx for being a viewer!
Love the "55"
love those 55 chevy's
Favorite?
Yes, I'll take them all please!
Me too! Lol!
I actually like the Datsun wagon .... it is more reasonably priced than the others and really is kind of a classic.
love the 58 Yeoman
Me too Leo!
Station wagons are really Hot. Had a 69 Kingswood. 350-400 turbo transmission. 🇺🇸👍
That was sweet I bet!
55. Love the rambler and the edsel

The cool long roofs are so much more now days
55 A Tesla is in space. The ‘58 Yeoman is the best one this time around.
It is getting a lot of votes Mr Real!
1959 Ford villager and the AMC wagon because you don’t see too many of them anymore
55 , The first wagon I learned to drive in was A 1961 Ford ranch wagon with 3on the tree and A straight 6 , wish I could find another but age/health say's not possible ☹️☹️, MAYBE IN MY NEXT LIFE & CAN DO BETTER ALSO 👍👍👍👍
The 56 Buick have always like the Buicks
Good choice!
The Nova would be the best deal 😎🇺🇸
I agree Howard!
that's a nice rambler.wagon & Chevy 2 nova wagon .any Vega wagons & corvair wagon.
I will see if I can find some. I have showcased some of the Corvair wagons in a couple of past videos not too long back and they were awesome!
Trivia!
1. Tesla
2. The P51 Mustang fighter!
3. Honda Accord. I think!
All three right!

Sweet! It's great you have owned it that long! I wished I still owned cars from my past!
That last race u put me in was wacked...i didn't no where i was lined up...still it was fun...
I like the 66 AMC. How long since you've seen one?
It has been a LONG time for sure!
I love the 56 Ford 55
Nice pick!
That 56 ford (red one) is hot. Only priced too high . My dad had a 57 wagon that I took my drivers license exam in.
WoW! That was a sweet ride to get the license with John! Mine was a 74 Nova!
I'm not afford guy but I really liked #3 and I think the other green and white wagon was very clean cars with a nice look but the 56 chevy could be painted to look very nice.
Good choices Ricjard!
1 Tesla. 2 an aircraft 3. ?? The 56 chevy wagon is my favorite.
Correct!
cool 55 ill take it
Cool MatchBox "55'
My favorite car was the '56 Chevy
My fave was the 54 Chevy….55
1958 Chevrolet yeoman trivia question, what year did Chevy offer a small block 150? answer, never, there's no such engine....
I like the Nova . 55
Good choice!
That nova would be nice project 😂
55 love the 56 ford
Favorite I want
I actually thought you meant the lunar rover as the first car launched into space... in fact, I think I'll contest your answer! LOL 55
55. Bring on the 55.
The Mustang wild horse.
First in space was moon buggy, then a Tesla?
Correct!
The '54 Chevy is a good deal 🤜🤛
I think so too brother!
Datson was the first Japanese can produced for America
Nah, the question is first Japanese car produced IN the US>

They were! Great story! Thanks for sharing!
It would have been nice if you would have had a Nomad but seeing that you don’t that AMC or the 63 Nova are the ones that I wouldn’t mind having.
Yeah the Nomad is my favorite of all wagons, bu these two are great as well!
Honda Accord was the first Japanese car built in the United States in Marysville Ohio
The Yellow 1958 Chevy Yo Mannnn, get off my wagon!
I know I butchered that name!
I would like a 56 chevy wagon, but only a 2 dr.
That is a great body style!
Number 10, does the dog go with it? No, just ty he fleas. Lol
LOL!
Hi everyone
Otherwise the '56 Ford is my favorite!
Good choice!
If my memory serves me, I think the first car launched into to outer space was the Moon Rover.
LOL!
No, actually that is a Datsun 510... an S-10 is a Chevy truck
Yeah, I think I fat-fingered that during scriptwriting and just did not catch that! LOL!
