    Will this fit on a 2015 jk with rancho high steer knuckles and cav fab 1 ton tie rod and flipped drag link?

    Great bracket, definitely heavy duty. It was tough getting my Metalcloak track bar in, I had to pry the bracket apart to get it in. It's probably easier to install the passenger side disconnect, before installing the bracket. It's really had to reach the nut to torque it down.

      The key is not torquing the bracket down until you’ve got the track bar in as it will collapse the top portion of the bar is not there and create the difficulties you mentioned.

    Does this bracket fit a PSC hydro assist ram?... If so, does the relocation bracket is strong enough to hold that psc ram or it is needed to strenghten it? Thank you!!!

    I have the rock krawler steering, track bar and drag link. Drag link mounted to the top on the knuckle. I have a ram already. How far to the driver side does this move the ram. I have my ram mounted in the stock location, but notice some issues. And, if this is welded in, does it get rid of the U bolt? Not a real fan of u bolts on my steering with ram setup. Oh, also running a TeraFlex HD 44 in my JKUR.

    Um, my SteerSmarts JL bracket looks nothing like this and yet this is the video linked on your web sight. Is this supposed to demonstrate how it installs? Same torque specs? Thanks for making these videos. Keep up the good work.

    Question about the track bar now that it is in the new location did you have to adjust the length of the track bar or just relocate it and keep all the measurements the same?

    • @SteerSmarts
      @SteerSmarts  5 років тому

      Would depend on whether the same trackbar was on before you did the top mount draglink and TB relocation bracket. Most likely some adjustment will be needed once the bracket is installed and the axle settles.

    So just to be clear, this track bar relocation bracket doesn't require any welding? If so this is the first one I've found to be strictly bolt on, and I will be ordering the complete high steer set up tomorrow as long as I'm understanding this vid correctly. Only issue is I have a Rock Krawler X factor track bar, will that make any difference in the process? Thanks!

    • @SteerSmarts
      @SteerSmarts  5 років тому +2

      No welding, no. It 1/4” steel. You could weld it if you wanted to, but it is not necessary. And yes, we are the only ones to offer a bolt on solution. There won’t be any issue with our relo bracket and the rock krawler products. Just make sure that you don’t tighten the relocation bracket bolts down until you have the trackbar in as you will make it really hard on yourself trying to move that steel once it’s tightened down.

    I just installed Reid knuckles and I have the yeti pro aluminum tie rod and yeti top mount drag link. With this my stabilizer doesn’t fit so I’m thinking that I need this bracket. Also I have anti rock sway bars. Will they work with this bracket ?

    • @SteerSmarts
      @SteerSmarts  Рік тому

      You only will run the track bar relocation bracket if you've swapped your bottom mount drag link to a top mount drag link. You will only run a top mount if you are at or above a 3.5" lift. We do have a stabilizer relocation bracket that could accomplish what you're wanting: tinyurl.com/STABILIZERRELO

    Question, if I have adjustable disconnects already, do I need to install the disconnect parts? From what I can see, not really a need to n

    • @SteerSmarts
      @SteerSmarts  3 роки тому +1

      No need if you have end links that are long enough for your setup - they are included for those who need the extra length for non-adjustable versions that would be too short otherwise.

      I believe you’re asking if Reid knuckles will work with our products? If so the answer is yes. You would just want our drilled/high-steer draglink instead of our no-drill top mount

    I have Quick Disconnect sway bar links. Will they still work with the brackets in this kit ? Thank You

    • @SteerSmarts
      @SteerSmarts  Рік тому

      You could probably make it work if you use the extension portion of the bracket for the driver side and the top mount of the passenger side, but you need to make sure your end links are adjustable and can be adjusted short enough to run in that location.

    Does this system work with a Falcon steering dampener?

    • @SteerSmarts
      @SteerSmarts  3 роки тому

      It will work with the falcons that have a bushing on the axle side, but not the single post mount that some of them have.

    Does track bar hit the under of pitman arm shaft with this installation?

    • @SteerSmarts
      @SteerSmarts  2 роки тому

      No, it mounts in the same location on the axle side and is only to be used with 3.5” lifts or higher when also installing the top mount drag link.

    What is the reason for relocating the track bar?...

    • @SteerSmarts
      @SteerSmarts  5 років тому +1

      You do a track bar relocation bracket to maintain parallel geometry between the draglink and the trackbar when you do a draglink flip. With our kits, you generally do a flip at 3.5” lift and above to improve the angle of the draglink from pitman to passenger knuckle.

  • @grub5416

    Could this be used on an AEV 2.5 lift?

    • @SteerSmarts
      @SteerSmarts  Рік тому

      You would not use this on a 2.5” lift as you do not switch to a top mount drag link until 3.5” on the JK and 4.5” on the JL/JT

    Can you use your stock track bar?

    • @SteerSmarts
      @SteerSmarts  3 роки тому +2

      You can, yes, but you’ll only use the relocation bracket when paired with a top mount drag link - the purpose is to keep the drag link and track bar parallel so that you don’t get bump steer.

  • @jimbarber1593
    @jimbarber1593 6 місяців тому

    So I’m confused because you never disconnected the sway bars to start but yet you connected them at the end. I have the Reid racing high steer knuckle and anti rock. Why is this even necessary?

    • @SteerSmarts
      @SteerSmarts  6 місяців тому

      Tack bar relocation bracket is necessary when switching your drag link from the stock location (bottom mount) to the top side of the knuckle (top mount drag link). The reason it necessary when doing this is to keep the track bar and the drag link parallel. If you don’t relocate the track bar at the same time you will get bump steer and you will not enjoy the way the vehicle drives.

      @@SteerSmarts yes I understand that part. What I’m asking is in the video you never disconnected the sway bars to start. But reconnect them at the end. I have already purchased your track bar relocation bracket and was watching your video before I installed it. I was looking at my Jeep and it doesn’t look like I need to disconnect my antirock sway bars to install your track bar relocation bracket. I guess that’s my question.

    Alignment needed after bracket install?

    • @SteerSmarts
      @SteerSmarts  5 років тому +1

      No, you should not need an alignment after installing the track bar relocation bracket. You will, however, want to make sure that your track bar is properly adjusted so that your axle is centered under the vehicle.

      @@SteerSmarts How do we re-center the axle if its off?

    • @nicohovse4204
      @nicohovse4204 4 роки тому +2

      @@beachboy4928 - Pro-Tip. With the Track bar off, shake the jeep back and forth on the front end. Stand in the front and grab the bumper, winch or whatever you can to shake it back and forth (or get the help of a friend to do it). The jeep should settle in on dead center. You can measure each side from one point on the jeep to the tire and it should be center. Then attach the Track Bar. Hope that helps.
