when the nova troopers got there i'm like "empire always win biatch."
The Taim and Bak XX-9 Heavy Turbolaser is mounted on capital ships and used for defense and Anti-Planetary uses. The turret you have there is the XX-10 Heavy turbolaser unit and is used for Anti-Capital ship and Inter-planetary defense. It also doubles as an effective Anti-Armor weapon. The XX-10 is not used as Anti-Infantry as it has a slow rate of fire and is very inaccurate against small fast moving targets. These turrets have no faction as both the Imperials and Rebellion use them.

+Christian Shemak Also if they hit like they did in the video they would leave a crater big enough for the tank to be destroyed from the fall damage alone. Those things were built to penetrate shields.

Turbo laser batteries on the ground are capable of planetary defence. They are able to target and engage enemy ships in close proximity of the planet.
And you think we don't know that because...?
I really like how there was a mix of weapons in the forces, or the imperials at least from what I saw.

Very nice turn of events for the Empire there. Although I think you could have used your turbolaser on the left flank that was giving you trouble, unless the gun turret couldn't depress low enough to reach them that is.
Also I love how simple yet unmistakably Star Wars this level is, its a really amazing thing with Men of War AS/AS2 how you can just build whatever level you want with whatever assets you need from the Star Wars or modern wars mods or whatever and have yourself a nice little skirmish battle that looks totally in setting.
I imagine even just designing these levels to look as authentic to the setting as possible is a lot of fun, I'm going to have to give that a go with AS later, your videos are inspiring me to get back into the game, and get crazy with modding it to have any kind of battle I want with any factions I want even nonsensical like Wehrmacht vs. Imperial Stormtroopers or whatever.
I'm currently finishing off a map for Men of War Assault Squad and it's based of the German army camp in the end of the mission Their Land Their Blood on Call of Duty World at War. it looks good in my opinion and I'm new to making my own maps. I was wondering if anyone knew how to upload to the steam workshop. The trench line needed to be further out to have some defense in depth and have an outpost line further away for advanced warning of advancing enemy troops. It would be also a good idea to have two trench lines, one close in to the battery and one further out with trenches between them. Delay them at the first line, then fall back to the second line.
Love it, you could do a special where all 4 factions have a fort like this and they are able to free roam and attack and defend against each other???? Just throwing that out there but I love your Star Wars vids and please keep em coming
God the turbolasers in this are weak... that tank should have been vaporized XD
+Alendon Valdor Hell, in canon (and Legends...) turbolaser batteries were used to eradicate entire planets. Granted it required a whole fleet, but still.

Hey Diplex, I'm a huge fan and I love your videos. I did want to make a suggestion though. I would really love to see an Order:66 scenario played out with the 501st against a bunch of Jedi. I really love the Order:66 scenes from the movie and I think it would be awesome for you to do something like that. Thanks and keep making videos :)
Actually diplex Nova troopers were used as imperial honor guards they usually guarded historical locations or captured enemy ships and weaponry so a better story would have been that a regiment of them was guarding a nearby captured rebel ship and when their commander heard of the attack he sent reinforcements or another story is that exactly the same thing happened but instead of a ship we get a sith temple.

For defence missions, add it so they overwhelm you so you have to do strategic defending.

You should do a Point de Hoc Star Wars video, with Rebel Commandos storming an Empire held Gunsight on a Cliff face.
Novatroopers would never reinforce,they where just a Stormtroopers variant of Imperial Royal guards,but they would also guard sacred grounds (Sith Tombs and such)

+Charles Ford Those turbo lasers were probably set as heavier defenses for a tomb that the rebels didn't know about and the Novatroopers were sent to reinforce after receiving word that the position was under attack to prevent the rebels from discovering and possibly destroying the tomb.

turbo lasers of that size have massive reflector shields to protect from orbital bombardment, small arms fire would do nothing against it, also it would never be able to fire at ground targets

Loved the ending ambush i would like to see more of the Nova Troopers, you should do a mission with only a few commandos against an enemy base or outpost at night. That would be really cool and maybe you should show off CIS commando droids if they are in the game.

Is there a way to make a video about the Imperial Army coming down to an old Droid factory, and it pumps out the old and waiting Droid army when they think the Stormtroopers are clone troopers just in new armor, and the Empire gets to see what the clones had to go through scenario?

You should make a map with droids and clones the clones are attacking the droids and put a landing platform for the droids outside the base and while your attacking in the middle of the battle land an la-at with clones so they can sneak behind the droids and attack the whole thing and capture the base! 👍👍👍
You should make a single stormtrooper or rebel battalion and then follow them through the war carrying there numbers into the next battle possibly giving them upgrades throughout the war, like new weapons and stuff.

More epic clone defenses in like massive impenetrable (or almost impenetrable) fortresses or compounds. Perhaps more like a last stand types of things where the clones are outnumbered

hi diplex, I've been watching your videos for a while, and I got to say they are really good. I was wondering though if you can make more trench warfare scenarios. I'm also a big fan of urban combat, demolished buildings and stuff like that. I look forward to seeing more of your videos.

Please. Do more battles like this but make it a little more realistic with the amount the towers fire if you can because in the movies they fire much faster than that. Make the defending army smaller and the attacking army massive. Please!

first time ive seen diplex lose a battle
their must be about 5k plus lasers projectors lined up down the sides of the turbo laser. that would make sense other than just one massive laser projector.

Have some clones reinforce the rebels in an attack on the landing zone area with the Nova Corps. The clones should have a commando with them.
It would be really cool if he did like a night imperial assault with walkers and all of the lights flashing and stuff off the walkers.

Wow he just put the nova troopers on hold position away from there, and had them come in during his first exit, jeez I would've had a imperial shuttle come down dropped off the nova troopers, plus a Sith Lord, that would've been fun
You should make the troopers hold off against the rebels, and have the troopers call in an AT-AT and AT-ST
I think it would be awesome if you did an arena with multiple terains representing the differant camando units

Super late! But the Turbo Lasers would definitely NOT be used for Artillery seeing as Lasers don't arc, so it'd be pretty poor artillery. Primarly used for Anti Air

Dude do a giant ass Air assault with the 212th attack battalion have the droids be defending something and equip them with some artillery. Maybe have the droid be defending a city they just annexed? and have the clones para drop in?
You should do a scenario where the Empire goes to Kamino and kills the Clones being produced to fight them if you haven't already.
+giddy cypress Kamino is an Imperial planet. This would be impossible because the clones aren't being made by the time the Imperials come around.

hey diplex I think this is a great idea or it might just be me, but you can have two teams go at it and you would play a single soldier such as a sniper and try to take out the enemy general.
If scientists ever discover a photon absorbing liquid they could over load it with photonic energey to become explosive and launch it.
