Picked up my first XJR last February...... It's also an 02 but in blue.. Been riding for 34 years and owned many bikes a of all different types but this one proper gets me going.... Lovely bike you've got 👍
I’ve had two now, sold my 2006 last year that was also in blue but I was specifically after an SP version in yellow. Held out and found one. Only a few more little jobs and she’ll be back to complete standard. Safe riding my friend and thank you for watching and supporting my channel. Look out for a full review/ride video on my XJR coming soon.
They're only original once. I own a ZZR1400 and it is completely standard. No loud exhausts, just the original shiney ones, the bike purrs. No power commander, no fancy levers or pegs. I take great care of it and it turns heads when I'm out. It's black and gold and looks amazing. I adore your XJR.
I’m lucky to own a few bikes but I have a soft spot for old school bikes from the 90’s up. The XJR has always been on my list and finally bought one last year. I have a few more little jobs and it’s back to complete standard. Struggling to find an SP seat for the bike but i will carry on looking. I also bought an original 2002 Honda Fireblade 954 in red last year but after one month, the gearbox blow up. It’s been a long restoration as I’ve struggled to get some parts but I’m getting there, video will go live once it’s finished. I plan to do a full review and ride video on my XJR soon as many people have been messaging me for one, I think you’ll enjoy it too. Thanks for watching and I appreciate your support 😁
The XJR1300 is an absolute classic. No fancy gizmos, just the bare essentials with a real beast of a power plant. My 2014 model gets heads turning wherever I go. And it's standard, so you're "on the money" by getting your bike back to original. Greetings from Melbourne, Australia.
It's a beautiful bike. You'll get so much enjoyment from it. I've got the exact same model and colour and also a 2001 in blue. The Yellow is being rebuilt but the blue one is absolutely standard. Have you thought about the exhaust header pipes? They're not original, they should be chrome.
It was always one of my favourite bikes along with the 2002 Honda Fireblade, have you seen that on my channel? I realised the headers aren’t original and I can get some off the guy I bought the end cans from. Well spotted though, you’ve got a keen eye. I’m also trying to find the original Ohlins shocks at a decent price. That said, the Hagon shocks that are currently on are very good.
Those seat covers are really well done. I'm sure you'll be able to get a swap. Shame, I've got some stock mirros, but you're probably miles away from me.
@mid.bike.crisis got a blue trimmed one on my bike. Mine wasn't an SP though so I had that plain looking one on there which just looks so boring compared to the SP one with the seams. Nice bike though. Just got my project on the road.
I bought a 2002 last September in black, 15k on the clock, had black YSS rear shocks on and I got the Ohlins with them as well other spares, the original exhausts were adapted for the ULEZ requirements and they've been butchered whilst installing Cats, black weld marks where they were cut!
@@mid.bike.crisis not much difference to be honest for the few hours I had them on, I put a set of black carbon GR Moto's on next day, it's the reg number that passes the ULEZ 😉
Beautiful! Ya just can't beat a classic! My 96 Kenny in yellow gives me a chub every day! Same colour, Japan import, extensive mods. Goes real hard. Cheers and happy riding 😊

I have 4 bikes, this is definitely my favourite mate 😍
You're very lucky to find those 😉
It’s a keeper
@mid.bike.crisis Likewise, mine is the 1200
@ still a great bike is the 1200
What a beauty , as pure as a motorcycle can get. Love it .
And it’s got to be the best colour 🥰
I didn’t realise the 2002 had chrome top carbs nice bike
It’s an SP model which had different paint scheme options, ohlins shock (previous owner removed) and chrome carb tops.
Привет. У меня тоже Xjr 01 года, в оригинале серебристый. Классный у тебя мотоцикл!
Thanks brother

I know, I keep looking at it thinking it’s lovely BUT as lovely as they are, I must get an original 😁

I’ve had a few bikes and I think the XJR is the best looking ‘proper’ muscle bike. Just raw power without rider aids. Safe riding brother ❤️

Ah that’s a shame about the install adaption….Personally, I’d buy a set of original end cans and install. What’s it sound like with a cats installed?

Just cut the yellow covering off the brake lines , you’ll have just a plain stainless steel line underneath.
I thought that but I still think black lines is more original
Schönes Bike ! Gruße aus Deutschland
Thank you…Greetings from East Yorkshire UK 😊
I have a 2000 in black and love the bike. What are you doing with the cans you took off?
Great bike! I might sell them they were Beowolf branded. Are you UK based?
Beautiful! Ya just can't beat a classic!

i have a standard seat off a 1999 one if you'd like to check it out?
Thanks mate, potentially will get in touch but I also was considering selling the bike in spring
Hai dovuto allugare i cavi per mettere i riser più alti?
I bought the bike with the risers so I can’t comment. I was thinking of taking them off 😀
Hi bro,I looking at on year 2000 with only 9000 miles on ,what price would you recommend please, I'm trying to please my father 🙌🏼🤘🏽
A 2000 year SP in great condition should be about £3000
The yellow cables are horrible.
Agreed. I mention them in an earlier video. I plan to change them to black.
