Thanks for the review. The wrinkled interior leather gives it a shabby appearance. $159 is outrageous. The original is a much better choice in my opinion.
Really appreciate the review on this. I don't carry many notes, so I'm more inclied toward the slim sleeve version. I appreciate that they developed this stichless method to make the wallets, but I think I enjoy the look that thread colour can add to a wallet too much to pay extra to remove it.
Hi great video. Just thought I would add some additional context to Bellroy’s warranty you’ve mentioned. It’s not very good. I’ve had issues with their wallets in the past and their customer service and adherence to their warranty terms isn’t great. I was passed from pillar to post and eventually told that I would get a replacement only to be told weeks down the line that they wouldn’t honour it. I’ve never bought a bellroy wallet since. So buyer beware!
On the contrary, I've not had any issues getting a defective wallet exchanged through mail. The solid warranty is one of the main reasons I keep going back to them.
@@manofthehour_ that’s good you had a good experience. It’s slightly comforting to know they can be nice too ! I can only give an account of my experience which unfortunately wasn’t great on a few different occasions. I found them to be quite rude as well. I should also add I was always polite to them and never argumentative.
Im just upset how much their quality has gone down the drain. I got a powder blue bellroy note sleeve 6 years ago and recently bought a new one to replace mine. The new one doesn't patina, rfid all over, and just feel way cheaper. I missed when they didn't use rfid.
used the original note sleeve for 5 years, then bought 2nd note sleeve like you have there, still love it. wont buy the apex. and i like their old packaging better, the thick kraft paper envelope, not the box one
I don't think I've ever used the coin sleeve on my Note Sleeve premium. Removing it just got rid of clutter for me. Also the coin flap itself pushes into the back of the wallet and wears through, creating a weird dip/hump shape on the upper right of the wallet. $139 isn't outrageous for what this is. Perhaps for the demographic its trying to capture, maybe. But go over to Ashland Leather or any of the designer wallets and you'll see prices that'll really make your eyes water. We're talking $500-$1K+.
The third card slot is where I store my drivers licence. If that were removed, I could move that card to a different slot and get on with my life. Take away my coin pocket however and I'm looking for a new wallet. There were slimmer and more appealing wallets to me than the Bellroy Sleeve when I bought it. I chose it because it was one of the only slim options that provided a coin pocket. I don't store a lot of coins, but I like to have about four coins on me at all times.
Stupidly priced to the extreme are the Apex wallets (says the man who collects Shell Cordovan) 😆I'd get the original and have looked at them many times but like I say my 'jam' at the moment is Cordovan. It'll wear off as my bank account empties. Cheers Mark 👍🏻😃
Excellent review. The score was not that high and it looks like the original is a better product so I will check it out. Have you reviewed the Ridge Wallet? If so I would like to see the review. Thanks
Oh my, I've done several Ridge reviews. If you look for the Ridge playlist you'll see them all. I've done a bunch of comparison videos of the Ridge as well.

How do you test that?

If you had to choose would you pick this or the apex slim sleeve
Holy crap is this ever a cool wallet. However, for $160, that's an insane price point.
I have the note sleeve, just don’t think the Apex is worth the premium .
Does it fit the 100USD/500Euro/10,000Yen bills? because it looks like it doesnt from the way the smaller bills fit.

Great video. Just wondering what’s your current carry ?
Anyone know of any other wallets with magnetic closures
I could imagine if this is in a back pocket it will break, deform..etc.

The woven is still my favorite! Beautiful wallet, though.
What about durability?
Do you use one?

@@walletopia Thanks
Nice first 🎉
I think your real name is Hank Shrader, and not Mr. Woloptopia .
I’ve been called worse 😂
@@walletopia 😂😂😂 ! Well, I have people call me Hiesenberg! And my dog Gus !
got it on sale for $135aud- ($87USD) Brilliant wallet. Shop smart, seriously who pays full retail price??
This stitchless molded design makes it thick even when the wallet is empty. Not good. I don't get why people would want to consider it.
Agreed, I did a carry test with the Apex Slim Sleeve and it didn't feel any thinner.
@@walletopia I’ve been looking at getting one but was wondering what you think is better out of the apex slim or note
Yes i want to know that as well Apex Slim vs Apex Note
Your score is too generous.
Too pricey for me
