    Thank you so much for make this video.
    I was searching around about how robot will behave when you put it in the room without a charger and this is the first video that mention the robot will come back to the place where it start.
    So I guess I can buy it now

    I got one of these about 3-4 weeks ago, I am extremely impressed. Does the whole house perfectly, no-hassle, connected to google home makes it even better.

    I've had several comments from visitors about my carpets vacuum lines! I like them, I know it's cleaned properly.

    I just got this a few days ago. I had a Roomba 985. I got tired of emptying the dust bin every time, plus, my wife wasn't mopping as she promised. ***(I wanted to buy a robotic mop and she absolutely refused to let me and promised to do the mopping instead). Anyway, I got this on sale with the auto empty dust bin. I must say, just WOW. This thing is impressive and is so much quieter. There are so many better things about it. Like, sitting on couch, with Vlade Deebot sitting in another room, I can send it over to clean just the kitchen. No way could you do that with my 985. And the mopping is damned impressive. Our dogs bring dust and dirt in from the back yard. In mopping mode, of course if vacuums up the dirt then the mop goes over it. You can't see any paw prints afterwards. It's on sale at BestBuy for $649 right now, with the auto empty dustbin. What a deal!

    Wow. This is maybe the 30th different review I've watched of this item and you really took it to a whole new level of detail and consumer info that's helpful... mine is still on a train in transit somewhere between California and Michigan. Knowing you can just start it in a new area to clean, then return in to the normal floor/ area... no one else said that. That's going to help me a lot I think? We'll see. I need the auto empty so I just get it set up and let it do its thing so I can ignore it for a month. Any updates would be great as you use it... if you do.

    To remove the mopping attachment: Pull it off with brute force at an angle. The instructions is on the mopping plate. Hope that helps.

    We love our Neato, which gets into corners well as one side is flat. Neato need to step up their game with the software, the EcoVacs one looks much more feature-reach.

    Hi great review thank you! 👍 Is this 1500pa suction power? Thanks 😊

    Why do you remove the mop attachment from the base? I just leave it on and just remove the disposable mop. I am able to fill the water and re-attach the mop attachment without ever having to remove the base. Unless your model is a little different?

    Hola!

    I just realized, there's no battery cover. So how does one change the battery when it's spent? Surely they don't expect people to take the robot apart just for a battery replacement?

  • @Phantomthecat
    @Phantomthecat 3 роки тому +3

    Late to the party but you don't need to disassemble to mop like you showed. Just change the pad as needed and either plug the entire mopping unit in when you want to mop or leave the entire thing out when you don't. 👍

    • @chrisvanderstock

      Wouldn't that mean that you can go on to carpet areas? When it was attached, this wouldn't go there .... (maybe there was a setting to override this)?

    Wait, I'm still seeing little flashes of light in your video (the ones you said you couldn't see in the smoke) but they're not red, but rather white/blue-ish.
    I've also seen them in other footage of this robot. Are you sure there aren't little rays coming out of the front? It sure looks like there are to me.

      It doesn't use a lot of water, so will most likely do a house of that size on one tank.

    Definitely don't need a tool to remove the mop. It basically slides out at an angle. Pull outwards and push the inner part down to slide it out.

      T8 is better - but N8 Pro is more or less the same. Difference is batterie-size and the mob-function (T8 moves the mob and N8 not)

    Do you use any cleaning solution? It seems like you do, however, Ecovacs does not recommend that, at least for my Ozmo 950.

    To detach the plate, lift it gently then tilt it.
    Here is how:
    m.ua-cam.com/video/KARRmzCNdHE/v-deo.html
    You don't need to remove the cleaning cloth plate, just remove the water tank altogether and the robot will just in vacuum mode and can work without the water tank attached. You only need to remove the cleaning cloth to wash it.

    To remove mopping pad just pull it 45 deg ... and it will go. Yes you have feeling you will break it but nothing will happen as it was designed like this.

    Does the robot have to use you home's wifi to use the app?

    • @chrisvanderstock
      @chrisvanderstock  3 роки тому

      Yes, it uses your wifi. When you set it up, the app asks for credentials and relays them to the vacuum; it then communicates via that to let you know of its status - so you could be on the other side of the world and it will tell you "cleaning complete".

    ECOVACS DEEBOT OZMO T8 2-in-1 Robotic Vacuum Cleaner with dToF 3D & OZMO Mopping Technology - Is this model based on LIDAR technology?

    • @chrisvanderstock
      @chrisvanderstock  3 роки тому

      Maybe, but its definitely not a laser in there. I think its more infrared and vision.

    • @michaelwilliams6069
      @michaelwilliams6069 3 роки тому

      Yes, and there is a laser contained. There's a note on the bot clearly stating the presence and class of the onboard laser. The lidar is why the mapping is incredibly accurate.
