  • The Cederberg is star-gazing heaven. The Cedarberg Wilderness Area is located 200 kilometres (124 miles) north of Cape Town. This landscape dates back nearly 500 million years! Home to hundreds of San rock paintings, the Cederberg Wilderness Area is predominantly made up of the Cederberg Mountain range.
The landscape is completely different: wilder, warmer with a raw, dramatic beauty. Clanwilliam and Citrusdal with its towering mountains, brilliant purple and orange sunsets
Dating back 5,000 years, the reddish-brown paintings offer a glimpse into the fascinating lives and beliefs of the Khoisan people who dwelled in the area
