I honestly think people go places with shitty attitudes and leave bad reviews because nobody wants to serve an asshole. You were very proper and well mannered, and had a good aura of happiness. Thus you had good service.
People need to learn that food service isn't there for you to abuse and accuse, they are there to make your food for you, the least you can do as a customer is have respect because you're too lazy to cook half this shit yourself. The customer is not always right and that is something I stand by. I will tell a bad attitude to leave if they raise their voice at me, Because garuntee nobody else has any problems. So it seems the only problem is them.

Exactly! The people who write bad reviews and cry racism are usually the rude and lousy tippers who are never satisfied with anything. These are the people who are programed from early childhood that the system is rigged against them, when it hasn't been that way in more than 50 years. This should have been abundantly clear to everyone when a black man was voted in twice as President. It blows my mind that people are still spoon fed this systemic racism garbage. It's NOT happening in 2019.
i read somewhere that one business person took his clients or potential hires to a restaurant to see how they treat the wait staff. it's a way to tell how they interact with people, if they are respectful or rude or whatever

Went here yesterday because of this video. I had the cheese pizza with a can of coke for $13. The pizza was greasy for my dutch standards, but was really tasty. I can recommend this to any pizza lover!

This guy is going to help this restaurant out a lot because since people listed this place one of the worst rated restaurants in New York with just 2 1/2 stars now everybody’s going to go there more often because he gave this place more clout since he’s so popular on UA-cam. As a Californian, I traveled to New York two years ago for the first time . I found that the pizza at the food court at JFK Airport was better than any place out here. It was phenomenal 👍
I Live In New York And I Use To Work On Roosevelt Island At A Hospital Call “Goldwater Memorial Hospital”. I think they closed it down a couple years ago. I Haven’t Been On Roosevelt Island For Years Now. But From What I Saw In This Video Showing The Excellent Experience That You Received At The Italian Restaurant Inspired Me To Go Roosevelt Island And Have Good All Round Family Dinner. Thank You For Doing These Food And Service Videos, They Are Greatly Appreciated. You The Man!!!!

A big aspect to why so many restaurants have not so great reviews, even when the food and service is satisfactory, is because no one thinks or cares to leave a review when they had an acceptable or excellent experience as much as they do when they have a bad one. So as someone who’s been working with food since I was old enough to work. The next time you hit a drive thru or a sit down restaurant, and you had a good visit, please consider leaving something nice to say on their page or Yelp. It’s even nicer when you make it a point to remember an employees name and personally comment something positive in regards to their service. My boss used to call us over to his office and tell us when we would get a compliment via reviews. And would pin it to our service board with our names on it. Makes the job easier to look up and see someone appreciating your work.
Very true if we praise as much as we blame, pull people up as much as we put people down......We might get better lives, jobs, services and the list goes on.

Good point Keep Creep! Also during high peak periods, lunch, certain foods will come out faster because they've been pre-prepared. If you order a special item it might just take longer to come to your table. Has nothing to do with race.
I went there a few times. Every word he wrote on the review is 100 percent accurate! everything there is plain perfect. The flavors are on spot!

Or perhaps the negative reviews were from people who went in with an attitude and were rude from the get-go? Having worked in hospitality and having owned my own restaurant, I’ve seen it plenty of times, the rudest customers are always the first and loudest to complain.

First time watching you as an Italian myself growing up with real Italians I have to partake and say what a wonderful job you did on your review and just so you know that my whole life in Italy Italians are normally used to being around many cultures I actually grew up in Italy with Muslims from Africa and these guys are really black and spoke Italian better than I did. Racism exists everywhere but Italians are used to being around many cultures because Italy is in the center of everything racism is probably more visible in Italian American communities here in the United States.
