- I am housesitting so Tiptoe's chores are all mine. There isn't too much to do on the daily but we like to keep it pretty routine so he knows what to expect throughout the day. We are stoked for my mom to get home so we can get back to taking our daily walks!

That is quite possibly the happiest tortoise on earth.
Tiptoe has the undivided attention of his Mom, Caitlin, and that attention provided some very green grass, lovely red tasty strawberries and a pond of warm, fresh water to soak and bathe in. I think Tiptoe started early Sunday morning with great weather, lots of love and wonderful nutritious good and great respect and care from Mom! ❤️🐢🥰❤️
TIPTOES lucky to have Caitlin as mom, Tiptoe's looking really good, from care mom gives him , Tiptoe's use to Caitlin methods of feeding , as Tiptoe reads Caitlin same as Caitlin knows what Tiptoe is thinking...👱♀️💕🐢💕

Very wise to keep your hand clear of his mouth. He does not seem to be particular about what he chomps down on.
On another note that is probably the most healthy looking tortoise I have seen.
A beautiful animal! You should be very proud of yourself. Reptiles can be difficult to keep healthy as pets.

I love watching tiptoe. It's very relaxing. I don't know how often you clean under tiptoes house but instead of lifting it from one place to another have you thought about putting locking wheels on the bottom of his house. They would make it a lot easier to clean around and under his house.

So TipToe is a self propelled and guided lawn mower? Cool! He also gets rowdy/active in really warm weather? That figures for an ectotherm. His digestion should work much better/faster in warm weather as well.

I don’t blame you T 😂 I absolutely love strawberries 🍓 too and especially when I was pregnant with my children, I craved fresh strawberry pie, and at the time, the 90s, I lucked out because we had a Marie Callender’s restaurant pretty close and they made fresh strawberry pie. It was just whole or halved strawberries depending upon how large they were and I don’t remember what the crust was exactly, but a graham cracker crust would be delicious 🤤 with it

When the weather changes seasons do you notice his mood, behavior changes too? I notice it with my cats when the seasons change My cats get crazy rambunctious. I love watching you and tiptoe and when I was a kid we had two turtles named Bonnie and Clyde but I gave them to a turtle farm to live their best lives because they got too big for us.

Have you considered either squeezing fresh fruit juice onto his Timothy Grass to encourage him to eat it more? Or chop up the fruit into even smaller pieces and mix into the hay. Either way the smell of the fruit will get TipToe to eat more hay.

Ok well you and Tiptoe have been together 20+yrs and he is out growing his environment
He needs free reign movement to allow his large body to get the exercise needed to digest all that sugar you feed him. Grass yes hay is for bedding Good luck Tiptoe mom needs to give you a new home with a nice big backyard with grass and a fence. Then you can roam eat and sleep as you please and mom can go about her day and relax as she pleases as well. 👍👍
Camera systems are very cheap and mom can monitor you on her phone if she works.

I liked that until the thought came to me….my wife uses the same trick on me …but just in another way …. You girls are tricky smart !! We tortoises and husbands will get fooled every time.

Hello Tiptoe, I have been watching your channel since I have my own tortoise. Her name is Tortoisey.
She got diarrhea last week so I took her to the hospital to x-ray and found out that she ate a lot of stones and some of them stuck in her intestine.
I got a lot of the medicine but it still didn't work out for her.
It would be appreciated if you have any suggestions.
