My most complimented perfume is Jean Paul Gaultier's SCANDAL. I wear it everyday even if it's hot and humid, it really goes well with my body chemistry. I'm into my 3rd bottle right now.

Had to update ya Ann! I just tried Scandal at the store the other day and it was deliciously sweet! What a great fragrance. I still got to try it on my skin though!
My big brother gives me that perfume last Christmas (the original version, in the velvet can) and for me is way too sweet-strong 😅😅 I can only wear it when is cool an in exterior... but I loved as the most Christmassy air freshener 😅😅😅 I put just on spray and the whole room smell so sweet and cozy

I liked how honest you were about not liking some of these fragrances. I have made so many blind buys based on other’s recommendations, and end up disappointed. Thanks for clarifying that good projection doesn’t necessarily mean that it smells good 👍🏼

It can be annoying (especially for sweet perfumes) but when I remember how much I loved Coco EDT and No5 and they disappeared in an hour or two... It 's good to have a power house around! Mine is Tresor La Nuit.❤

I’m always so surprised at how different fragrance smells to different people. A lot of the scents you described as OTT sweet are straight patchouli bombs to my nose!

😮 D&G Intense blue also changed on me after covid. I use to love it but right now, it smelled like cheese whiz in a can😧. Go for D & G light, so far it remained the same in my nose.

@@emily_sarahI have a couple I'm enjoying right now, more like several. Marc Jacobs Perfect Intense, Jimmy Choo Fever, Oud Symphony, and Elizabeth and James Nirvana Bourbon.
I remember the vintage versions of Poison and Giorgio and those things were BEASTS lol. One or two sprays maximum and they would clear a room easily! Restaurants even banned Poison from being worn on the premises because of how potent it was. I also remember older women wearing vintage Angel, Shalimar, Opium, Youth Dew, and Aromatics by Clinique and I could smell those things from at least half a football field away! 😂 Nothing these days really touches them in terms of sheer strength and overwhelming scent trails, but some do come close, especially stuff with oud/heavy woods and ambroxan/amberwood--all of those make me sick to my stomach but so many people like them for some reason. I'm just like 🤢

Don’t recommend alcohol for getting perfume off, it will dry you skin out- I use oil, such as QV bath oil rubbed straight on skin and then rinsed off (it emulsifies with water so it is easy to get off also). Doesn’t always work if it’s a super strong fragrance but it definitely helps. Great list, I can’t wear these super strong fragrances, I get sick of them too quickly, plus I like to change up my perfume throughout the day 🤪

Si intense by giorgio Armani also have amazing sillage. I didn't notice this until I stopped wearing it because I was out of it and then the minute I am back on it my boss actually asked me whether I'm wearing THAT perfume. He said I smell like honey.

Roses Greedy and Wild Cherry by Mancera! The first one is a 10 meter projection even after spraying 20 minutes prior to arriving to my office.

@Scentsei Ironically I adore Tresor La Nuit!! Haha. My top 2 right now are from YSL; Black Opium & Libre Intense. Others that I've tried and love but don't own include; Guess Bella Vita, Victoria Secret Very Sexy, Jimmy Choo I Want Choo, Kayali Vanilla 28, Lancome Idole, Armani My Way and Valentino Born in Roma Yellow Dream.

I’m currently wearing Black Opium that I over-sprayed on myself this morning 😆and love it so much!! I wore it to a Christmas party last night and got 4 separate compliments on it. Seems like a projector for sure!!
@Scentsei Jeremy fragrances recommended La Nuit so I thought let me look into it. The folie and nude came up as suggestions as well but I don't want to be a hoarder!! Black Opium is a compliment getter for sure, it never goes unnoticed when I wear it, and I enjoy smelling myself every now and again. ❤️ I love love gourmands and recently started exploring freshies.

Unfortunately most fragrances seem to disappear from my skin in less than 15 minutes, which is very frustrating, but one that people actually do notice and compliment me on is L'Interdit by Givenchy. Are you familiar with it? I particularly love it, but you have to really appreciate tuberose to like it.

L'Interdit is my favourite. It was my wedding perfume. It is extremely long lasting!

To remove perfume you need to use a make up removing balm or an oil to break down the oils in the fragrance.

@@almatoledo1608 oh no I’m sorry Alma! Something that has helped me keep a fragrance on for longer is first applying either Vaseline or Aquaphor before spraying my fragrance. 🙏🏽❤️
@@emily_sarah I have tried the skin hydration method via cream and then apply fragrance on top, but it is mostly my skin chemistry and I suspect always being dehydrated doesn't help. So... I over spray to compensate. Thank you.

This was my favourite fragrance for years. Amazing sillage and long lasting and of course amazing parfume. Deep and mysterious. After the reformulation it is another parfume. Different smell, does not last. Such a pitty. They destroyed an amazing parfume and I cannot find another one to replace it. Any suggestions are welcome. 🙂
I love Jo Malones fragrances in the Black bottle. They are strong and last ALL DAY. Velvet Rose Oud, Myrr & Tonka body creme; vetiver & golden Vanilla are all wonderful!!! Go sample

To remove perfume I use a oil makeup remover and then whatever soap I have after.

La Vie Est Belle edp from 10-12 feet away,
Sofia Vergara Love up close to my partner,
Amo Ferragamo after I walked up to my niece,
Hypnotic Poison after I sat down across a picnic table from my niece and her boyfriend, the scent caught his nose and he looked around,
Jessica Simpson Fancy like 20 feet away made a room smell like cookies,
Scandal by Night from hugging my friend,
Britney Spears Fantasy Intense by someone standing behind me saying I smell really good,
Philosophy’s Fresh Cream with Warm Cashmere where someone walked in and said the room smelled really nice like cookies,
Al Haramain Amber Oud Rouge while passing by my colleague and she said I smelled like Oakcha’s Sweven (inspired by BRK540).
The not so positive feedback (“too much” or “too strong”):
Light Blue Intense walking through the hallway of my home or getting in the car with my family,
Al Haramain Amber Oud Rouge (a stationary fan faced me most of the morning and the room smelled like it in the afternoon) with one person complaining the perfume was too strong,
and Elie Saab Girl of Now Forever / (not combined) Burberry Her edp had same situations as Light Blue Intense.
I learned to spray less now when using these last three fragrance😅 I gave away Burberry Her to a bestie, I still loved it but it was too strong for my family

To remove perfume scent from my skin I usually have to use a decent quality scented body wash. My faves are Bath & Body Works shower gel/body wash but I also love one by Softsoap that you can get anywhere. Although they're scented I don't typically find the scent lasts on skin very long, and if a perfume is REALLY strong and hard to remove, I follow by wiping with alcohol.
However I always apply lotion after because this process can be drying to the skin. I do see the other comment about makeup wipes or oils so I will have to look into that as well. Thanks for the video!

I once wore Sunny Side Up at an old job and a coworker came walking up & said it smelled like somebody farted 😳 I was mortified. I went in the back and used alcohol to wipe it off my wrists, neck, and chest. (And put on my backup perfume in my purse.) So alcohol works by itself usually, but I try to avoid if possible since it's so drying.
It also took me some time to come to terms with Sunny Side Up again lol

I love the content and how you review fragrances . You should put more pretty things behind you even perfumes 😂 like that I get more inspired on the content. I do agree with all the scents you show. I think flower bomb it’s soooo overrated 🧐 I don’t find it that great ! It’s good but for specific occasions. Libre I haven’t try it , creed it’s incredibly expensive that in my opinion it’s more dupes to that one.
I honestly looooooove a fragrance from D&G Rose the one ( can’t find no more ) it’s heaven , pleasant and last forever !

i am using black opium for three years. but my last and current bottle doesen’t smell the same and also not permanent as its used to be. do you know why that happened? also it happened to me with la vie belle after the third bottle too. (i’m sure that they are original.)
Oh wow I don’t know about black opium too much! I just bought my first bottle of it. The performance isn’t the best. They could just be a reformulations. Who knows!

cleansing balm / oil (make up remover) + any unscented shower gel does the trick for removing strong fragrances on the skin

FYI alcohol doesn’t work! I think it almost intensifies it! Non scented Soap and water is the only one but not practical when out and about 💐

If you like a fragrance but feel it is too strong, go for the roller version, because it projects less and a you apply a smaller amount of perfum than a spray

I will say Tom Ford Oud Wood, I was at a bar and the bartender said to me wow you smell good and she was pretty far away from me, and I have comments at work like wow that really smell good and it's been probably 6 to 8 hours after I applied it..

flowerbomb is weak. if you put in on your clothes and you put your nose on it you smell it. but projection is weak. i put on 20 sprays to work and my collegas still did not smell anything. I you spray it is gone afther 30 minutes

I think you don't love La nuit trèsor because your bottle might be old. The juice should look dark pink, almost purple, and yours is yellow and It looks like it's gone bad, which Is a pity because It smells absolutely delicious! I suggest to give It a second chance with a fresh bottle with dark pink juice in it!

I actually tried out a spray of La Nuit Tresor in store the other week that had the dark pink color you’re talking about (when I was in Mexico) and it smelled pretty similar, because I was thinking the same exact thing as you! @@emily_sarah Absolut smells ...sparkly. At first you yuzu hits you and it smells literally like alcohol but it morphes very quickly into a sparkling fragrance, pomegranate and raspberry are very strong. It's nice and one of the perfumes I get lots of compliments.

@@emily_sarah my favorite projecting scent is actually from Kilian ! Angels Share. My other favorite for projection is La Capitale by Xerjoff but be warned it is very sweet and not shy at all! Beast mode. If you found Tresor La Nuit overwhelming La Capitale oof 😂 but I LOVE it

@@emily_sarah I tried a sample of Madja Bekkali’s Mom mom est rouge and have been thinking about ever since. I didn't really know what to make of it at first but I kept smelling my wrist so I was obviously being pulled in lol When I was young I used to wear Opium, Shalimar, Chopard Casmir, Paloma Picasso and later on Organza. Was bought D&G Light Blue which I loved as it suited the climate I was living in at the time (Spain). I also loved (in my late teens in the ’80s) Azzaro Pour Homme and Paco Rabanne Pour Homme. Love Soulle Ambar by Floris too and gave my mum my bottle of Amayllis as she{d used all hers up! I now tend to layer up my Korres shower gel and body lotion (freesia vanilla litchi) and find that I don't need anything more. Want to try some of their scents to see what they are like. If you have any recommendations for me i’d be really interested. I do try to be animal-friendly too these days. ❤️

I wore a scent called Clean Reserve Skin by them a few years back that I loved!! Definitely more a natural skin scent though. I wouldn’t say it’s a big projector.
