Now I'm just left wondering how as I believe only the School of the Cat ever had female witchers and their trial was different for them than the standard one for men.

Kinda wished Ciri also got a fancy new steel sword to replace the Zireael she got from Bonhart. As iconic as that sword now is, the fact that it's a gift from THAT guy remains kinda gross... though I guess there's a symbolic and thematic value to it.
I have been scouring UA-cam for about two hours looking at Witcher 3 endings, trying to find someone, anyone, who had the presence of mind to pick something awesome for the inscription instead of: "Zireael, the swallow." What a bore. Yes, it's her name. Yes, it's pretty cute and cool to name the sword after Ciri. But the other line evokes power and mysticism with its poetry. It makes the sword something out of legend. Not to mention how beautiful the line sounds spoken in its original language.

In this ending (my first gameplay) when speaking to Emhyr, I don't remember what Geralt told him about himself (I'm thinking it was the "none of your business" option). But when Emhyr asked Geralt if Ciri told Geralt anything about himself, Geralt just said that he and Ciri never talked about Emhyr (which was actually true)... And when I went to the next place (White Orchard) "Cloak and Dagger" was playing, very loudly. I was so confused, I didn't know where I was and what was even happening. Not sure if the options that I took at Vizema had anything to do with the fact that "Cloak and Dagger" were playing at White Orchard or not. But when that time comes again, I'm going to be testing this out.
The best ending. I hate both radovid & emyhr, but honestly the nilfgaard ending is better. So at least i can still make emyhr feel sorrow for the rest of his life :)
I realized something that Ciri was meant to be a free spirited character. During the scene where Ciri want to vent, Geralt wasn't supposed to scold her and stop from breaking things. You just have to let Ciri feel what it's like to take control of your life. This was one of the major checklist in order to get the Witcher route. You are the catalyst of making Ciri really wants, to become a Witcher like his Nanny Geralt.
The fun thing about this is how all the commotion (or at least a good bunch of it) around Witcher 4 could have been avoided by just saying there was an ending in 3 where Ciri becomes a witcher, what would make it canon but they just HAD to silence the critics and ban them.

There IS an ending where nilfgaard wins AND ciri becomes a witcher. They're defined by different choices. Ciri will become a witcher or not based on wether you took her to see the emperor. Nilfgaard winning depends on if Radovid is assassinated

Do you mean these quests that changed the war? Did a few of them. I never thought they were important for Ciris survival.

I disagree, at the end of TLOU Joel is the only one who knows what he did. And you can even tell ellie is suspicious of him, which obviously would raise tension between them. In this they both know the lie Geralt told Emyhr, and both seem ok with it. Good comparison though, those 2 are a lot like Joel & Ellie

Mirror Your wrong, Ciri doesn't want to become empress shes always sayin she wants to be noone to have the choice to be come anyone, and that she wants to have a relaxed life. Unless you insentivise her to see Emyr she chooses gerald, because she prefers gerald. She only becomes empress because she feels that she has to do good for all that died for her. She feels forced to do so, and Emyr morally forces her. Just let her be happy. Although i must say Emyr doesnt believe Gerald and lets Ciri on her own, and says he never wants to see gerald again to handicap himself and not be able to find her

The best ending and the one that makes more sense is Ciri becoming an Empress. It's like she said. She can make a bigger difference there than than hunting mosters in some sewer. If you actually let her make her own choices and not deny the opportunity to make it, that's what she chooses. In fact, the game pushes you to let her make her own choices. And even strongly hints it through dialogue. Plus, the conquered world will also be better under Ciri than the heartless Emhyr. It was a bittersweet ending. But the best one by far.
The empress - is a neutral ending, if not the worst. The Witcher ending is the best ending, her own choice is to be a Witcher, and for her to become an empress, Geralt will put pressure on her, and then everyone else (emgyr). The game pushes to allow her to make her own choice and what she herself wants - to be a Witcher.

devon taylor You could just revert back to an old save from before you get to Kaer Morhen. That's when all of the decisions are made that affect the ending.
harley15980 this ending is very good, Yennifer and Geralt are backtogether and Ciri is with them too, Geralt is now Ciris mentor and he had a silver sword made for her identical to her sword. They know do contracts together. You get this ending by letting Ciri do what she wants and make her own choices pretty much. So that's a good thing.

devon taylor You could just revert back to an old save from before you get to Kaer Morhen. That's when all of the decisions are made that affect the ending.

harley15980 this ending is very good, Yennifer and Geralt are backtogether and Ciri is with them too, Geralt is now Ciris mentor and he had a silver sword made for her identical to her sword. They know do contracts together. You get this ending by letting Ciri do what she wants and make her own choices pretty much. So that's a good thing.

@@EineMeine or didn’t want to grieve with her, or wanted to “control” her with the Lodge, or even “sold” her to Emhyr. Can only get that ending if you do multiple wrong things. You basically have to be a bad dad and then Ciri will just leave for her own sake
